i was excited to try my first class here a couple of weeks ago, only to realize i had been overcharged for the drop-in. i told the front desk rep that this was my first time at dance2b and instead of charging me the 'new client' special deal, she charged me for a regular drop-in. after contacting the business owner, Jennifer, she was unable to compensate me, extremely rude, and did not apologize for the inconvenience. it was not clear to me that i HAD to purchase the class ahead of time, and as a new client prospect, this should have been handled more gracefully. highly recommend you do not come here. in addition, the dance class was subpar and offered no real instruction. read more

I had the WORST experience. It happened months ago, and I keep trying to forget it (certainly, wasn't planning on posting about it)....but every time I get a promotion from D2B, I feel sick and now I know I have to write a review (I think I still have 2 unused classes on the package I purchased). I heard from a friend of a friend that these classes were welcoming and female-friendly and.... well... FUN. I was a dancer (professional sports team dancer) for many years (granted, that was 10+ years ago). I was hesitant to get back into it and thought this would be a super fun experience. Unfortunately, the class I joined was a well-formed 'clique.' I thought I was completely incompetent as we were asked (in very small groups) to perform in the center of the floor... then, thankfully, a very kind young man said "don't feel bad, we've been doing this same routine together for months." I signed up for Ashley A's REB3L groove class, unsure what to expect. I was extremely pleased and satisfied with the outcome! Ashley was a very fun & personable instructor that worked with all different skill levels. I would highly recommend signing up for her class! Dancing with a mask was difficult, but I'm looking forward to outdoor classes. read more

Update on the dance class front: I *liked* hip hop, but I found that it was pretty repetitive week to week and wasn't really my thing after a few months. So I hadn't been to dance2b for over a year... Then I was recommended to try Groov3, which I tried and hated. It's way too crowded and frankly, just like UJam, just branded as something different. But what I LOVE? Henry's Broadway Style Jazz class on Wednesdays. It's the most refreshing thing to attend a dance class that's not packed with people with music that I enjoy, doing moves that are challenging yet somewhat comfortable. Clearly this isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I have left two sessions of Henry's class full of endorphins and a huge smile on my face. Sweaty, but happy. read more

I think I have found my new favorite dance studio in Denver! One class and I'm hooked! I took the U Jam class which is a cardio dance class that is mostly hip-hop and some other pop and club beats. The music was great and it was the most fun I've had working out in a long time! Ashley is an incredible instructor. The hour flew by and there was so much energy in the class. The dances are fun and easy to pickup and follow along with. It is also a great cardio workout (which is an amazing bonus considering how much fun I had!). I left dripping sweat and will definitely be back! The studio has a huge selection of classes and you can take almost any type of dance class there. They also have a great intro deal for new clients to have an unlimited month of classes. read more

I've been looking for a ballet class for a long time, and when I found an all-adult studio with different levels and kinds of classes, I knew this was the place. I've been to a couple of ballet classes now, and they're great! Henry is so fun as an instructor - he really knows what he's talking about and has great tips and analogies to help you along your way. I haven't taken ballet in 15 years, and this is a great place to get back into it. read more

The studio is accessible and beautiful. We arrived for class a little over 30 minutes early, so I understand that there wasn't an admin at reception yet, but when she arrived, her focus was completely attached to her phone. She asked us which class we were there for, without making any eye contact with us, so I replied, "Is there more than one 7:30 class?" She didn't reply to this for a well rounded minute, as she was still looking at her phone. It left a very odd silence. I agree with the previous non-five-star review reviewer when she said that the owner leaves something to be desired. I called prior to arriving and she doesn't answer the phone "dance 2 b" she says, "this is Jennifer." This is very confusing for the client. I asked if there were any first time client specials and there weren't for drop in. She told me about the student discount but genuinely seemed displeased to lose the money. We tried Dance Crew Moves. Pi was our instructor. I'm adding a third star from two because she was the nicest person we met there. Her class is listed as Beginning/Intermediate, but it was straight up beginning. Her warm up was too fitness-focused for my taste. There's a time and place for that but the class overall was pretty conditioned and could do the class without fear of injury... they didn't need all the fitness. My biggest criticism about the class is that she used choreography from a YouTube celebrity and didn't mention whether or not she had asked or received permission. We left early. I would try another class in the future except on our way out, the owner saw us leave and didn't seem even remotely interesred in checking in with us, just followed us out with judging eyes :( Cool space, stupid name, weird service. I love going to Dance 2b! At first I was skeptical because there was no barre in my ballet class but the teacher made do and it was such a fun class! The drop in prices are really expensive but the price is manageable if you buy a package (or a Groupon). I also really like that they have cubbies in the studio so that you're not leaving your valuables out in the open unguarded- they are in the same room as you. My boots got stolen at Core Power Yoga this year so I'm pretty sensitive about this issue! My only complaint is that a lot of the classes I would LOVE to take are during the day M-F and I can't make it because of work. Hopefully their schedule will expand. read more

It's over priced and it expires way to quickly, the classes are rushed and when I asked to extend the expiration date but they gave me hard time and told me to email them and when I did it took them weeks to reply. Till this day I wasted 50$ on classes I've never even got to take. They even told me that there's nothing they can do after expired passes, even during this pandemic. read more

I went this dance2b and used a ClassPass for their intermediate ballet class. Welp, apparently I didn't remember much from 25 years ago, and I was way over my head. I stuck with the class because I'm no quitter. I felt the need to write this review because of the goodness I experienced. Alex, the instructor, was a total gem and, recognizing that I was struggling, performed the demo exercises next to me so it was easier to see. I recognize she couldn't slow class down because it was intermediate (nor did I want her to), but I'm thankful she did this. She obviously is very educated in dance theory. The studio has 2 large studio rooms and a rooftop, evidently. I didn't see the roof but I think they will start having some stuff up there if I recall correctly. They offer a large class selection and I'll definitely be back to take a stab at BEGINNER ballet and some cardio hip hop! read more

Such a beautiful studio! There are several classrooms and they are all gorgeous. Exposed Brick and skylights give the studios and moody beautiful feel. I have taken two classes with Henry and he is awesome. I am NOT a dancer at all and I feel like I have gotten a little better in a couple classes. The variety of classes is great, but I have to agree with a few of the other comments regarding the perceived lack of caring by the receptionist and front desk staff. I was new and had a few questions, but the receptionist was on her phone 90% of the time responding to text messages. The workout and class itself was fun, and a great way to exercise. However, I feel like this studio is very cliquey and that if you aren't a cheerleader or professional dancer you aren't paid much attention to. I feel like the class was geared towards a circle of friends as opposed to a class of people there for a workout. still was fun, just a little awkward if you aren't part of the "in" crowd. read more

Everything about the UJam class is amazing (which prompted that 1 extra star) but honestly the lady who runs this studio leaves something to be desired. As a paying customer, I don't really care what you're making on me per class. I also don't care how much money you lose when I claim my groupon offer. Not really appropriate to talk about and if you hate groupon so much, don't use their service. I would have signed up for a membership but after that conversation I let the groupon expire without using all of my punches and decided to find a new studio. No thanks. read more

Best adult dance studio in Denver!! I can't say enough about this studio. Everything from the friendly, helpful staff to the cleanliness is superb. This place is awesome. I'm personally not a great dancer at all, but they have classes for all skill levels and just a fun and relaxed atmosphere. I always felt completely welcome and nobody ever judged me for looking silly as I attempted the moves the instructor showed. It was just a great way to have fun, cut loose, and meet some great people. Definitely take advantage of their new customer intro rate. So grateful I found this studio! I have been a dance drop-out for literally decades. I love to dance but would get so intimated by all I can't do that I would dance for a few months then drop out in dismay. Henry, who teaches jazz on Wednesday afternoon, is so inspiring and talented and makes the entire class fun and educational and, surprise, surprise, I'm actually getting better. I am grateful to have found this studio via Groupon in January! Once I used up my Groupon passes I took advantage of a sale on an unlimited monthly pass and have been addicted ever since! I grew up taking dance lessons and had been thinking of getting back into it, but I felt intimidated and out of shape. Jenn at dance2b encouraged me to try some of the Intermediate classes anyway and I am very happy to be dancing again! The teachers do a great job of encouraging everyone and tailoring classes to those who arrive to this drop-in style studio. I enjoyed the class I took here, but the receptionist did not listen to me, and took a while to check me in. She actually ended up asking me if my name was "Young Mi Choi" (I am Asian) after repeatedly having issues finding my actual name (which I gave her twice at the beginning of our interaction, and then wrote down for her on a form) in the system. I can understand having an off day, but what made her think I didn't know my own name?! Then offering me a random Asian name instead? Crazy. I have been attending this studio for over a year and a half and it is one of my favorite studios in Denver. I love that the classes cater to adults only; you don't want to be 30 years old and walk into a hip hop class with all teenage girls (if you've been there, you know, it's a very uncomfortable feeling). The owner, Jen, is amazing!!! I'm constantly seeing her making contact with each of the people that come in and really engaging them! She makes us all feel like family. Some amazing classes that are a must try are Pi's hip hop/dance crew moves (Pi has a way of bringing so much fun energy to her classes, and you can see how much people love her and her choreo based off of how many regulars she has), Ali's Half-time Jazz (Ali arguably has more spunk and personality than any instructor I've ever had; plus her long list of pro-dance accolades makes her choreo challenging and fun) , Katie's performance jazz (simply put, Katie is so creative and her class has really helped me become a better dancer), Alfred's ballet (Alfred really takes the time to work with everyone individually with their technique, and is a beautiful dancer). The studio is beautiful, welcoming, and encourages such a positive vibe with all of the dancers attending. I will continue to make dance2b my go-to studio. read more
