We are on summer hours and we did respond to your phone calls. We acknowledge the conversation became escalated during the exchange and that you were upset. While her teacher was very sweet, my family and I were extremely disappointed with the overall recital experience. I completely understand that young children won't perform perfectly, but these routines were practiced for months and many of the dancers genuinely looked lost on stage. Most of the kids were staring offstage at their teacher the entire time for direction, and the performances overall seemed very unprepared and disorganized. Unfortunately, it wasn't just the younger classes either -- several of the older groups also appeared confused and messy during their routines. In my opinion, a large part of the issue was that the recital dances were not started early enough in the year for the kids to feel confident and prepared. To make matters worse, tickets were $20 per person for a recital held at the studio itself, which felt excessive considering the quality of the production. We also paid an additional $15 for a recital video link that still has not been sent out 4 days later, and there was no communication that there would be a delay. Had I known, I would have just recorded it myself. I'm not usually someone who leaves negative reviews, but I also noticed there weren't many realistic parent reviews available, so I wanted to share my honest experience for other families considering this studio. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

Jax was our instructor and was very professional even though the group was nervous and silly. But with her instruction we gave it our best shot, ending up with a short dance designed for beginners. The studio caters to serious dancers who are there for fitness, but they made us feel comfortable and we had so much fun. The studio was clean, including the bathrooms. I booked a one hour private session and it was worth every penny for the lasting memories we have. We may be back for the 80th!

If you're looking for other forms of dance like tap, hip hop, contemporary, etc then I really wouldn't recommend it at all. The management actually seemed to not respect all forms of dance like hiphop and also were not supportive of the competition teams. They seemed to only care about the ballet program. The competition dance side, I think they call it Greenville Jazz, had lot of dissatisfyied parents and kids from what I understood and the signups for next year dropped off substantially. Saw some individual awards but never any news about a competition team getting a really high score or having top finishes. The recital was also on a Tuesday night during the school year with a Monday night rehearsal. The kids did not get home until well past 10pm which is completely unacceptable for a school night with young kids. Most all dance studios do weekend recitals. As far as costs go, they seem more expensive than others and seem to have policies that "nickel and dime" you to death throughout the year.

This week I tried to make an appointment two days in a row. Both days nobody answered the phone so I left my name and number and what I wanted done to my hair. Nobody ever got back to me so I decided to go there and see if I could get in. When I got there there was a very rude blonde that made it seem like I did something wrong by calling them instead of texting them. She told me to text them and make an appointment for next week. I needed my hair done before the weekend so that wasn't going to work for me. I've never had a problem getting in before. They've always been able to get me in on the same day. This made me so mad that I don't know if I will ever go there again.
