This may be the perfect dance studio for many students. It was not for my student…read more One of mine is a competitive level dancer with many years experience. He began classes in July when most of the students hadn't started yet. It was wonderful then. He got lots of individualized attention and the teachers were knowledgeable and knew lots of methods that he hadn't encountered before. Once the students returned when school started, everything changed. Focus and structure were gone from the classes. He was unable to try out for the competitive teams being new to the area, but the recreational classes were not able to accommodate his experience. Rules were not enforced. Kids were disruptive. They wore inappropriate clothing both for age and function. Things like bikinis or full length school skirts. And even though the school has a wonderful male instructor and other male students, many kids told my son that he couldn't dance because he was a boy. He felt unwelcome and didn't get the camaraderie and instruction he was used to at his former studio. There is so much potential in this studio, but the lack of discipline and cooperation among students made it a bad fit for my dancer.

Instructors go on the field trips, which is kind of cool because students can be nurtured as they progress in their dance skills. The experience level of the dancers is low so DD isn't a very good bet for dancers who want to social dance beyond newbie level. Probably most people that start at DD quickly move on to other studios and venues once they get the basics down. The lessons are expensive compared to many studios who have comparable instructors.

I felt like I was at a broadway show! All the girls did amazing! They offer camp in summer and my daughter went for a week. She is only 4 and really liked it. She never once cried or felt uncomfortable. I highly recommend this studio. They also have a second location that we've attended and also loved. The BELLA location is very small and not a lot of room for the parents to sit and watch. The Ellsworth location has lots of space for people waiting and multiple rooms. Now the both take multiple classes and love every minute. Their baby brother loves it here too and always tries to sneak in class and the teachers are so sweet with him. They came to dance and fell in love with it but they also found a family here. All the older girls really take care of and love on them and it has been so special for me to watch and get to be a little part of. Maria was the first teacher we had and we all totally fell in love with her! She is an angel. I honestly was nervous to have my kids take classes with any of the other teachers because we loved her so much but as they started taking more classes and getting to know the other teachers we realized they're all just as amazing! All of the teachers really take the time to get to know each of the kids and make them feel loved and special while still teaching them and helping them grow and raise their own personal bar. They also have killer recitals and the most fun costumes! Every other recital is scripted and all the kids have an opportunity to audition for a speaking role and/or special dance. It is so fun and the kids have the best time with it! My kids confidence has grown so much in the last year here. I'm so grateful for this studio and the special part they play in our family's life.

My daughter enjoys cheer again and has grown more with Tara than I thought possible. I have been calling for months to try and enroll my grand daughter in dance. Finally I drove to the studio, they are only open 4-8pm. I started calling at 415pm finally after an hour I got a live person on the phone. Was told she didnt know about enrollment, that Stephanie was in charge. Stephanie finally did call me, I was told that the studio was open the next evening and that she would be there, I told her I didnt want to drive out if she would not be there. Stephanie assured me she and the other girl in charge of enrollment would be there til 8pm. I drove over 7pm, when I arrived I was greeted by the sign with half the lights burned out, not a good sign. I little girl was sitting at the front desk, a slow moving women emerged from a back room. I asked for Stephanie, was told she had already left. She asked if she could help me. I asked if she knew about enrollment, she said no but here take and registration form.. Not impressed by this place. If this is a sign of how they do business, what can the dance lessons be like? Hum run dont walk from this place. I am going to look into other classes around the valley. Jeanne Wright needs to take a more involved roll in this place.

You never know who is going to be at the desk and the studio is in need of a full deep cleaning. Very grungy and dusty. My daughter liked her teachers as did I until the weeks prior to the recital. I was told by one teacher not to come to pictures in costumes because another little girl did not get her costume....... I was sent an email the day prior to pictures that things had changed and to come in costume. Well I guess I am not someone who looks @ my email everyday and did not get the message. I was very very upset...... Her teacher was very rude about the whole situation. I was wondering why calls on an actually phone were not made!!! Then the night of her recital I was unaware of the dance lineup..... because my daughter was in two classes. I needed time to go back and change her between performances.Ten minutes before show started they handed out programs. There are 50 plus dances and my daughters were put back to back and they even left her name out of the program for her second class. This meant NO time to get her changed. I had to miss her performance to wait back stage and change her into another costume so she could get back on stage. They didn't even care. So unprofessional!!! The women who run this place are more concerned with their daughters being in all the classes then taking care of a business. One last note..... very sad..... as I was going to grab my daughter after her performances I saw a teacher scolding her students for not remembering the dance on stage...... these are young kids. I was flabbergasted. I will never never go back to that studio and would not recommend parents take there children there.
