We heard they had a restaurant here, so we decided to stop by for happy hour. Parking was easy since there were plenty of parking spaces by the surf park. As we were looking for the entrance, we noticed there was still a lot of construction going on, sand everywhere, and not fully done yet. Besides the wave pool and surf lagoon, they also have a diving pool, sand volleyball court, and seating areas in the sand. One thing we noticed, though, was that there were only about three lifeguards for the whole area when we were there. The luxury cabanas are located right next to the construction zone, so I'd probably wait until everything is done before renting one. At the entrance, that's where you can get beach passes for the River Wave and Surf Lagoon, rent cabanas, and also the restaurant. We got a table on the patio with a view of the wave pool, which was a nice spot to relax. We ordered wings, fries, and a couple of cocktails, perfect for chilling before dinner. I loved my cocktail; the color was so beautiful. We'll probably wait until construction is done before coming back.
I came here for our weekly happy hour with my husband and in-laws. My margarita was perf. My husband got the Rick Cane. He thought it would be a lettuce wrap but it was more like lettuce buns. He said it was AMAZING he added a side of grilled pineapple pico which he adored. I had the HH fish taco, meh. My MIL got the flatbread and liked it very much. She said the crust was thick and flakey. Service was slow. I will say I was greeted with a smile and a hello by three people within 90 seconds of walking through the door. Very friendly. It was pretty clean, cute shop in front. There were a lot of flies when we were there.
I heard about Revel Surf before it was being built. As someone who grew up on a beach, spent most of their life on a beach, and now lives in a desert, my heart always belongs on the beach and it makes me sad to be so far away. If going to a man-made beach is the closest thing I can get living in the East Valley of Phoenix, I will take it. I've always wanted to learn how to surf, and I love the idea as someone who has young children to be able to take their kids to the beach and have a nice, relaxing time. What I will say, the hours are not the most ideal because the place itself does not open until noon. I usually like to get out with the kids in the morning for those types of experiences. My daughter naps until two so we didn't get there until about 2:45. Parking is plenty full in a lot. It's a great, Newer location with a lot of new restaurants popping. It looks like there's apartment surrounding it as well. Cannon Beach/Revel Surf is a great place to take the family. If you book your tickets ahead of time you will receive $10 off. Otherwise, it was $75 per person per adults and children under four are complimentary. That was helpful but still $200, we decided we were going to stay a lot longer to get a bang for a buck! We also ate at the restaurant which is pretty fun. It's bar food but it's not terrible. My husband ordered the chicken fingers and fries, they have a little shredder menu, which is adorable and my son bought the pepperoni pizza that came with fries. My daughter got the cheese quesadillas, also with fries, and I ordered the Caesar salad that came with a nice big cheese crisps and croutons. The food was good, all things considered. They also sell alcohol at the restaurant, just of course, no glass near the pool. I was surprised to see the high jump there. It was pretty high and looked very fun. I kept telling myself next time I'm going to do that! Despite the high prices, I did think it was a great experience that we will definitely return for. I am still happy to see sand in my car, which is something I haven't seen in a while. Having the feeling of sand in between my toes is definitely one of my favorite feelings. Everyone was super kind there who worked there. The place itself was very busy. Pretty clean. There was a lot of food items left out the entire time we were there, but luckily, no seagulls! Be careful because it can get slippery and some of the paint on the turf is peeling. Already looking forward to another beach day!
Great food and great vibes! I came here with a friend for their lunch special and it did not disappoint. We both ordered their fish tacos with their Caesar salad. Both were delicious! I am so hooked! Service was great! Parking was a bit limited but we were able to find an empty spot fairly quickly amongst the current construction. Definitely check them out if you're in the area!
Definitely a cool spot! An actual beach in AZ! We came here on a Tuesday and it wasn't busy so that was amazing. My son is 4 so he got in free. My husband and I were $35 each. If you want to surf, you will have to reserve a time and pay a lot more- like $130 I think my husband said. Love the beach vibes. Everything seemed clean. The signs say no outside food or drinks but we brought both and no one said anything. Also saw many others do the same. They say they do a bag check but didn't which is great. I think they should allow outside food and drink (not alcohol) so that was awesome! We didn't try the restaurant but will be back. There are a lot of upgrades happening around so it will be really awesome when its all done. All in all a nice beach to hang out at when you are missing the beach, I just wish it was a bit cheaper to get in. We will be back!
I came here with a group of moms of toddlers and it was a good experience! The kids enjoyed playing in the sand most of our time since the water was still very cold. We brought our own beach toys so I highly recommend that! There was a bunch of good food but I loved the chicken parm pizza! We went on a Sunday and it was $25 per person and 4 & under we're free. Not too bad of a price but if it was any more money which I am sure it would be in the summer time, I wouldn't go for any higher price.
Took a surf lesson. The moment I walked in, I was welcomed by friendly girls. This property is my dream come true. I so wish we had this in Tucson! Surf lesson was beyond fun and the instructor made sure I was able to stand on the board. Gave me lots of tips and kept asking if I had any questions. I also had lunch after my lesson and the food was surprisingly good. Everyone at the facility was friendly. I can't wait to go back!
Last Sunday, we learned to surf at the lagoon of Revel Surf. Arizona was the last place I'd thought we'd learn to surf, but it happened and was a nice way of cooling off when outside temps reached beyond 115 degrees. There are 10 people in the beginners' surf class so they split us up into groups of 3, 3, and 4. We had 2-3 instructors giving us tips on movement, timing, and placement on the surf boards. They started out showing us how to stand on the board on land and then we went out to the water. We all got a gentle push as the waves went through us at first and then as time progressed and we showed motivation, we could start to paddle on our own and test what we learned. Yes, there were a few "nose dives" and some crashes but you could easily hop off the board and stand most places. We enjoyed our time so much that the lesson our flew by. We want to come back. We had frozen piña coladas after to celebrate our efforts. They were either non-alcoholic or alcoholic, whichever you prefer. We tried the cliff jumping area before we left. I think the highest jump was 25 feet? That's where we started, haha! It's so nice to jump and not having to worry if the depth is enough. The beach area is beautiful with soft white sand everywhere. It's like being on a resort. There are lots of umbrellas but there is definitely still a need for more shade overall! Next time we return, we will try the river style surfing. It's more like the type we saw in Munich, and we definitely want to work in that. It looks harder than the lagoon surfing, but still fun! I guess it's put some of the wake surfing skills to the test? We shall see!
Arizona now has a beach! Revel Surf is a hot & new attraction located in Cannon Beach, which is also a hot & new development here in the Valley. Back in April, I took my son and three of his friends for some fun in the sun to celebrate my son's birthday. I purchased beach passes ahead of time and passes were $50 per person for our Saturday visit, which I think is pretty steep for beach access, swimming, and diving off Revel Rocks only. It's usually $35 for weekdays. The river wave, surf lessons, boogie boards, cabanas, and more are all extras. Regardless, the boys stayed busy at the Revel Rocks and sand while I relaxed on a beach chair and people watched. I offered to rent boogie boards for them, but they declined saying they didn't need them. I got hungry so I ordered fish tacos and a virgin piña colada from the restaurant, which didn't take long to make. The tacos were decent and I appreciate the big pieces of fish they came with. The frozen drink was delicious. The staff was pleasant. I offered the boys food, but they also declined saying they weren't hungry yet. We stayed for a few hours before taking the party back to the house. We enjoyed our visit and I would really love to return, but $50 per person is a bit too much for our family. Maybe I'll return when I'm able to go on a weekday or if they lower their prices.
It was a cool experience I learned to surf which was the best experience there but If you Just wanna chill in the water it's not really the vibe. Great atmosphere for kids and families though. If you aren't surfing, entertaining children, or boogie boarding prob not the spot for you but if that's your jam you should try it out.
Great place to learn how to surf in AZ! I was hoping it would be like the old Big Surf, but this place is for people who seriously want to surf--which is great if that's what you're looking for. There's also a cliff-diving area with three height levels, cornhole, sand volleyball courts, a skate rink, and a separate FlowRider-style area (strong enough for full-size surfboards). They also have a bar with live music.
All the staff is super nice here and accommodating. If you are in the area go ahead and try it out but don't make a special trip for it. Waves are small, even the "larger ones" there isn't that much difference. For the price it's expensive but we did it just to try it out. The bartenders were on point making it for a good day in Arizona.
Had a birthday "pool" day with my friends. I enjoyed the cabana experience, they have a fridge stocked with water (though it was Dasani and really do not like Dasani). The fan and mist was a big help with this heat and the place was all around clean. The lady assigned to our cabana was very attentive and sweet, making sure we were always taken cared of. I wish there was access to the water from the cabana so we didn't have to walk around. The surf area was a bit smaller than I anticipated and I hope they expand to area where people that aren't actively surfing can just relax in the water.
We had the best time at Revel Surf! It was our first time visiting and it exceeded our expectations for a beach in the desert. We bought the Sunset Beach Pass (discounted price, 6pm to close) and came on a Friday night to beat the heat while avoiding the peak temps of the day. We actually had to reschedule due to a dust storm a week before and the staff was very accommodating. There is something to do for everyone here! Surfing, boogie boarding, playing in the water, cliff jumping, and even volleyball. So much fun! The sand and beach chair area is a nice touch to give it that true beach feel. Being a Friday night, it was very busy and tons of teenagers there. The cliff jumping was packed but still very fun! Plenty of space for older and younger kids to all participate together. Lifeguards are always present. At the end of the night they stop surfing and let everyone go the whole way into the wave pool which is a blast! Probably the most fun part. Only giving it a 4 star for a few reasons. Line/wait was very long even with pre-purchased tickets. Everything is very pricey! Lifeguards need microphones or something - yelling basically was pointless. Felt crammed in the seating area and beach part. No outside beverages, water, or food is extreme for families. Overall, it was a very fun night and awesome way to beach the heat! Would come back again for sure! read more

My family and I stopped by for their half-day swim (aka the evening session), and honestly, we had a blast. Before we even got in the water, I found myself wandering through the merch shop. I have to give them credit--they actually have some pretty cool stuff. I ended up buying a sweat- and water-resistant hat with a shaka patch on it. Needless to say, I left happy before I even hit the water. The surf lagoon is the obvious star of the show. Having waves crash onto a white sandy beach is a pretty awesome experience, especially here in Arizona. There were plenty of lounge chairs, umbrellas, and shaded areas, so it never felt like we were fighting for space. The diving pool was another pleasant surprise. There are multiple platforms to jump from, and the lifeguards allow enough freedom to have fun without making the experience feel overly restrictive. If you're feeling adventurous, they also offer body surfing and surf lessons. The amenities were solid as well. The bathrooms were clean, spacious, and had plenty of changing rooms and stalls. Lockers are available to rent, which is a nice convenience if you're bringing the family. We also grabbed food while we were there. No, it isn't five-star dining, but that's not why you're here. More importantly, it was genuinely better than I expected for a water park. What impressed me most was the overall atmosphere. It was energetic without feeling chaotic. My family had an absolute blast, but somehow the park still managed to feel relaxing and comfortable--something I can't say about many water parks. We'll definitely be back. read more
This is such a fun place. We came on Father's Day with our friends. They rented a cabana near the cliff jumping. The cabanas have a nice strong fan mister, keeps it nice and cool in the Arizona heat. The kids really loved the different levels of cliff jumping and boogie boarding in the wave pool. Every hour it's switches between boogie boarding and surfing. I would recommend bringing your own boogie board. You can rent them for $30-$35 but when we asked to rent, they were all being used. You can still be in the water while the surfers ride the waves but you have to be closer to the shallow end. I did notice that the pretend sand in the water is peeling off. It definitely needs some updating. Bring some beach toys if your kids want to play in the sand. In the afternoon the sand was too hot in the sun but once the sun set it was perfect to play in the sand. We all really enjoyed their drinks and food. The kids liked their sliders, tenders and fries. My husband and I shared their coco loco tacos. I didn't realize the loco sauce was a hot sauce, the tacos definitely have a kick. They were good but I would have maybe asked for the sauce on the side next time. They guac and chip were awesome-pomegranate , pineapple pico, and crispy carnitas. This location is about 45 min away for us but this would be a great place to cool off at after a baseball tournament at cactus yards! Looking forward to next time. read more

Came back for a day of surfing and beach access. My husband and son had a blast doing the Malibu Surf session. It's pricey but a little piece of Cali in the desert. We did beach passes to get some sun and watch them. Have sandals or water shoes, the sand and artificial grass gets HOT but the water was beautiful and refreshing. Not overly busy with school here and summer in full swing. read more

What a nice setting Revel Surf has for us in AZ that miss having a beach nearby! The major pool has shallow areas for small kids (like a sand bar), and is older ones can venture out deeper. We were expecting a real sandbar as it seemed to be in pictures, but the sand area is only where some of the chairs are. There's another pool where babies can play, one for jumping, and one with stronger waves for surf lessons. It was a bang for our buck on a weeks day, but I think the weekend price is a bit hefty it bringing the whole family out. The seating area should be cleaned more often, since most loungers had some sand and food debris in it. There's a nice restaurant that's part of it serving food and drinks. The Hawaiian chicken sammy was yum! read more

What a great new find!! This is a surf park with an excellent restaurant. On Monday and Tuesday they don't run the surf waves so it's a great family ocean environment with a sand beach which they also have a kiddy pool. I ordered the grilled Mahi Mahi tacos and they were awesome! The topping was a combination of shredded kale, brussel sprouts and carrots which gave it a great crunch. The dish was juicey and flavorful. My husband got the chopped salad which had great flavor but needed a little more chopped chicken and ham....a little light in this area. The atmosphere is a very relaxed beach environment. Our waitress, Milan was so sweet and explained this whole concept to us. I can't wait to come back. read more
I visited Revel Surf after hearing about their free entry promotion for the month of February and decided it was worth the drive to check it out. Upon arrival, guests are required to sign a waiver before entering through the pro shop, which is connected to a restaurant featuring both bar seating and a spacious outdoor patio with tables. We originally came out for dinner but found that there weren't many vegan-friendly options available, as I had started lent, so we opted for drinks instead and explored the park. We arrived around sunset and caught the tail end of happy hour. I ordered my usual wine, while my partner requested a Greyhound. Unfortunately, they didn't have grapefruit juice--understandable given that they're still in the early stages of operation--so he opted for a Screwdriver instead. One great feature is that you can order a drink and walk around the park/lounge area. The atmosphere was lively, with families and children enjoying the park, but as the sun set, the crowd began to thin out. I believe they close around 7 or 8 PM. The park offers a variety of attractions, including cliff jumping, a wave pool, cabanas with beach lounge chairs, and even a skate park. The standout feature is definitely the surf/wave pool, which I imagine will host some exciting surf competitions in the future. Since we didn't fully experience all the park's amenities during this visit, I couldn't give a full five-star rating. However, I look forward to returning for a more complete experience and revisiting my review in the future. read more
Soft Opening Day and EVERYTHING was booked out and the water park was at full capacity! So, not much to do there other than observe the surroundings and shop the small area of vendors prior to the gate entrance. Came across the event planner (which was the first vendor stand) Very nice guy that explained what's happening, what's to come and what the future will be here! Currently, just the waterpark/ surf park is open. They have yet to complete the indoor race track and skate park. The "restaurant row" is still to come (can't wait for that) and a concert stage/ venue is being discussed as well. The pool/ surf area does have a restaurant and bar. Live music and happy hour specials. Inside: They offer rental surf boards & wet suits while at the same time you can browse their store for merch & swag. Park is closed on Mondays & Tuesdays. Currently, it's free entry until February 28th, but good luck with getting an advanced entry. Speaking of entries; they had a raffle the day we came and ended up a winner with a gift card & a cali sunscreen spray! Considering not getting in to tour the inside and experience the pool, we had a fun time hanging outside the park with the local vendors and all the shops that surround this huge venue. NOTE- Website doesn't have full details, which would have been great if they did. Prices are extremely expensive $35 for an all day pass and over $1000 for a yearly membership, however that does come with many perks. You must sign a no liability waiver as well. Alcoholic beverages; no BYOB here! You can consume adult drinks inside their venue ONLY. They have servers pool side. Rental cabanas are available as well for an additional fee of course. Be prepared to spend even more once you get thru the doors as most everything presented will cost you more! read more

1st time visiting this new "beach" and honestly wasn't that impressed. They're doing a soft opening currently, thru the end of February, which allows guests to enter for FREE. After that, it's $35 a person if you're just there for Beach Day. Filling out the waiver was a hassle and shouldn't be. Everyone was expected to line up along the wall to fill out their waiver for everyone in their party and then present the screenshot. No emails were sent for confirmation. Girl at door was getting very annoyed with all the questions, but kept her composure. I think it would be more helpful to have tablets available to register and not expect everyone to have a device of their own. Once you walk in, there's a small clothing store with their merch and a restaurant. The restaurant does have a separate entry line than the beach but waiver is still required. Sand is white and super soft. Tide pool is nice and shallow. Didn't get to see any waves but I'm told they happen! There's an area for brave soles to jump off 4 different height landings and an area just for learning how to surf in their wave pool. Not enough to do for the $35 price tag, but I know they're currently building more things to expand the park. read more
We arrived Sunday the 23rd, around 5pm. Staff greeted us and helped with all our questions. It was free admission that day, and will be free until 2/28/25. It was not crowded as I expected it to be, we found seats fast, it was clean, and the water was clear blue. I'll be honest the water was cold, which was understandable due to the weather and time. We still had lots of fun. Side note: you cannot take coolers or food inside, please review all rules on website. read more
We went to check out Revel Surf this morning and were surprised that the beach area was completely full. Most people had made online reservations. We did have access to the restaurant and patio which we took advantage of. We ordered mixed drinks a burger and fries. The drinks were delicious as was the food. We enjoyed watching a beginners surfer class. It is a very nice facility. As we were leaving we noticed a long line of families waiting to get in. This place is very popular. read more

Such mixed feelings. Went on Mother's Day 2026, with two grown daughters who had been there before. They knew to be there at opening to get a chair and a crack at getting shade under one of the large umbrellas. Glad we did that. I can't imagine being in the sun all day without shade. Shortly after we arrived families had to sit down on burning hot turf Water was perfect, waves are fun. White sand. Cliff diving very fun. While many mentioned no lifeguard at the dive pool, as a Gen X, I appreciate not having a kid telling me when to jump but I can see it could get problematic with so many kids without adult supervision. Restaurant is a problem. We got in line and waited for them to call us when the table was ready, that was fine. But after we sat down, it took 15 minutes to be acknowledged. We decided to order drinks and food at the same considering the wait to be greeted. Then the food took one hour. The server should have told us the kitchen was so backed up. It's not the server's fault but no way he didn't know. Weirdest of all, server would not acknowledge what we were saying, just a blank stare. I repeated since he was not saying "yes" or ok, or got it. I looked at my partner and said do you think he can hear me? We decided maybe he could not. I asked a third time for my Arnold Palmer. He walked away. So my partner got up and chased after him and asked again if we could have an Arnold Palmer and he said, "yeah I heard you". So that was bizarre. Food was fine, but again no one checked on us. Slushie drinks are expensive, no alcohol detected. I'm a super light weight, even one drink gets me a little tipsy. Had two, and I swear there's no booze in there. Can't bring your own water. No insulated bottles allowed. There are some big drums of water but the water is warm, no ice. Ran out of cups fast. Oh and trash was overflowing everywhere. Might be back if they "finish" the place. Needs a lot of polish. We paid $25/pers. 4 of us with lunch was $200. read more

My friend rented out a cabana to celebrate her bday. We enjoyed the perks of the cabana which included our own private area to lounge/tan, a fan with mister to cool off, and staff that took our food and drink orders and brought them to us. For the most part we enjoyed, but the park is smaller than I initially thought. The sandy 'beach' area leading into the water seemed a bit crowded. Looks like you'd have to show up pretty earlier to set aside some space. Not the best place to come to if you're looking for leisure (unless you rent the cabana), but I would be interesting in coming back for a surf lesson. read more

For the day pass price, it's a great way to stay cool. We don't surf but we enjoyed hanging out in the shallower end of the wave pool and in the cliff jumping pool. The food was decent and drinks were okay. It's nice to have a place to put your feet in the sand. The only thing I hope they work on, is getting more landscaping around the park. There is some bulky wearhouses and heavy machinery equipment behind the wave pool that is a bit of an eye sore. We also had to wait at the restaurant until a lounger became available which sorta sucked for the waitress. I would hate to see them start charging for loungers but I am not sure they can fit any more. read more
First time here tonight and we did the River Wave level 1 lessons and they were so much fun! The instructors were very skilled and so helpful! My daughters loved the wave pool, beach and even the cliff jumping! The water was pretty cold and it wasn't very crowded (probably cause the water is still really cold) but it was a lot of fun, especially the surfing. I would absolutely love to come back! read more

We happen to be in the area and decided to check it out and are very happy that we did. It gives great beach life vibes with an amazing view of the AZ mountains. I ordered the wings while my 7 year old got the chicken tenders and fries. She must have really liked her food because it was all gone.
