Overall a large and solid dancewear store--good shoes selection especially. Their offerings for men and boys are not great but then, at few places are they, really. And they will certainly try to order or direct you to things they don't have in stock. And I'm still not sure what's up with Grishko not being sold in the US--I guess a sanction for being from Russia--but that's not Dancewear Corner's fault at all. Four stars for pretty much the only place in town with a selection of shoes for ballroom dancing, though not as big a selection as I'd like. Prices are pretty much on par with what you see everywhere but for Amazon knockoffs. The staff is usually pretty helpful and they carry a full range or sizes and do have a few options for both male and female. Be sure to check in on Yelp, there's usually a coupon there and they do have a rewards program with your phone number as well that also gives you deals. Really small parking spots, the lot can get pretty hectic, so I recommend going in the afternoon as opposed to the evening if possible. If you've got kids in dance they have a much larger selection of dance clothes, ballet shoes, tap shoes, etc as well as all the accessories. read more

It was very disappointing to arrive at the store, searching for tights to find that there are other ways that we can still be slightly discriminatory. I was appreciative of the fact that they had different hues for different dancers all the way from the ballet pink through mocha for African-American performers, but I was very disappointed that they are tight selection size wise stopped at a large extra-large, which, really, in looking at the size chart would not be for a bigger dancer, or a fuller figure dancer, or even a taller dancer there are those that work at Disney. I am a huge fan of online shopping so I hadn't yet ventured into a physical dance school for my daughter who started classes last year. On a whim I decided to leap in one day (see what I did there?;) and as a former competitive dancer, my jaw literally dropped open when I walked in. I swear I could hear harps playing and birds chirping in the background. This place is a dancer's HEAVEN!!! I am so jealous it didn't exist when I was growing up but so glad I can spoil my daughter senseless now that I know about Dancewear Corner. This store has a plethora of options when it comes to leotards, tights, shoes, accessories, coverups and gifts. The staff has been incredibly knowledgable and helpful every time I've gone in. While the prices aren't cheap, (one leotard for my 4-year old runs about $24-$36) the quality and amount of options that this store offers absolutely makes up for it! While you can absolutely find cheaper merchandise online I believe the experience and swoon worthiness at Dancewear Corner makes up for any price difference! read more

It was my first time at Dancewear Corner. We were greeted immediately and the sales associate was very helpful. She helped us find my daughter's dance attire for church. Everything fit except the pants were too long. The sales associate suggested a easy fix. We also purchased pink ballet transitional tights. They had tons in stock. I checked on to Yelp and Yelp gave a 10% off coupon. Dancewear Corner said that they do not honor Yelp or Retail Me Not coupons. They still honored it, therefore the five stars. read more

My first foray into dance world after raising basketball players! I was confused on shoe sizing. Christina in the footwear area helped us out so sweetly. She stuck to my budget (daughter is 4 so not looking to break bank) and tried on each shoe. She also helped me pick out tights! Very nice employees! We will be back. I went to this store while on vacation to find my daughter tap shoes that I couldn't find in my local area. Because they are a different type of shoe for her I wanted her to be able to try on in person instead of ordering using an online store and have to ship it back and forth if it didn't fit. If you order from their online store, READ their return/exchange policy before you purchase anything!! Make sure you are okay with paying your own shipping to return items back to them, and paying for them to ship you another item if you exchange something e.g. a different size if something doesn't fit. I didn't anticipate the need to return/exchange and so I didn't read their return and exchange policy. I ordered a pair of split sole jazz shoes (JZ100) online. I never order shoes online. However, since I already had a pair of these shoes from a while back (and I loved it A LOT because it fits like a glove), I decided to order it in another color i.e., black. DWC was the only store online that had it. So Danca, the manufacturer, website asks folks to find it in their local retail store. I ordered it in my size (6.5). But somehow, the shoe I got was too big. So I requested a 6. I shipped the 6.5 shoe back to them and I had to pay $5 for them to ship me the size 6. The 6 still did not fit. So I went through the process again for a 6 Wide. That also did not fit right. I want this shoe so bad and there are no other online outlets with this shoe. Not even amazon. I am going to try to go through a local retail store. So all in all, I paid at least $20 extra in shipping costs for this shoe :(. And I still don't have it. I even asked if they could possibly waive one of the shipping costs but they wouldn't. Whatever you order, make sure it's worth the extra money to ship back and forth. On a side note, I STRONGLY recommend this shoe! It is a great practice shoe for all dance styles and many folks inquire about it when I wear it. I ordered some shoes online, with 2 day air shippingto get them in time for a show. I received an email the next day stating that they didn't have the shoes I needed in stock. They said they could send me another size; however, they couldn't send me the size by Saturday. They were not willing to send them overnight or provide me with a discount. Watch out for online ordering, they probably won't have your size and they probably will not offer you any discounts for the inconvenience. read more
