There are acting like it's business as usual and aren't taking any precautions as recommended by the CDC. No masks, no distancing for employees or patients, no sanitizing pens and clipboards between patients, not keeping the doors open so patients don't have to touch. On a separate note, the massage was not good and she did not work on areas that I requested. I would say it was more like repetative rubbing than a therapeutic massage. read more

Dr. Ray and Dr. Meisha are truly wonderful chiropractors. They both seem to have an innate sense of where I'm hurting - sometimes when I'm not even aware of it myself! They listen carefully to whatever issue I'm dealing with at the time and virtually always help me to feel better after seeing them. For the last two years they've helped me through all my various aches, pains and whining. Jordan, their office manager, is fantastic. She is welcoming, professional and makes everything so easy from scheduling and cancelling appointments to preparing a year-end summary for tax purposes. This is the first time I've been contacted by a business on yelp after giving a poor review. I would think that if a business saw you gave them a poor review that they would try to remedy the situation and offer you either your money back or some kind of deal so as you would be compensated for the poor service. This indeed in not the case concerning this establishment. The owner, whom I will leave nameless, tried to make me feel bad about the poor review and have me remove it. The email in it's entirety reads, "I recently came across your yelp review of my office. I believe that you saw Dr. ___'leaving out name for confidentiality' (an independent contractor in my office) for a relief adjustment. It is obvious that you were not very happy with the visit. I understand that you may have had an unpleasant experience in the office, but your comments are directed at my name and office and you never even met me. I can assure you that Dr. ___ only wanted to help you feel better, even if that was not the result. He is a new doctor just getting started, and his intentions are to help people feel better in this world. I hope that you consider removing your negative comment." This is very unprofessional. Simply put, if a person works at any establishment, they represent said establishment. One person that makes a mistake or gives poor service reflects directly on the business and all involved, thus making the business look bad as a whole. I've never been a big fan of chiropractors, but after trying many different types of therapy for my back, Dr Dandrea was recommended to me by a friend. While I still have issues with my back, I am much more mobile and I can workout more often with higher intensity. I have him to thank for that. I first became a patient of Dr. Ray when I met the massage therapist from his practice at a business networking event. I was new to Olympia, and needed to find a chiropractor. I've been to chiropractors for many years in the different places I've lived, and Dr. Ray is definitely a favorite! I was impressed by his office, and enjoyed the open format that allowed for interaction between patients, staff, and doctor. It was a community feeling, with relaxing music and/or nature images on a big screen tv. There was still space for privacy, and I never felt uncomfortable speaking with the doctor in the 'open office' layout. There was also never any pressure to commit to many appointments, he gave his input for a successful treatment plan, and I could make appointments in a frequency that felt comfortable to me and my budget. Dr. Ray was great at making himself available. I once called in tears because my shoulder was in horrible pain, and I got right in for an appointment. He was great help for neck and shoulder pain, and instilled the need for 'good posture' into my brain. It was also great to have the massage therapist available to work on sore/tight muscles before an adjustment. I had never been to an office where that was done, and appreciated it. I also referred a friend, sent my husband, and brought my mother in when she was visiting from the east coast. Everyone had a great experience, and found relief from their pains. I continued to be a patient for about three years, and would still be if I hadn't moved from rainy Olympia to sun shiny CA! Triple check statements made by office. My husband had been going to this office for roughly 3 months for massage. The massages had been helping. That's not our complaint. We were under the understanding that who he was seeing was an in-network provider with his insurance. We only just found out the providers he saw were not in-network because I called to reschedule an appointment. It was then I learned he was seeing out of network providers. The office claims that they told him. Stated that he also had a note in his accountant saying so. However, he knows that we pay at a higher rate for out of network providers so he never would have scheduled had he been told that. There were 3 different phone calls on the same day we found out and we were both given different answers in regards to some of the same questions. (He was working so we couldn't make these calls together). One of those conversations stated to me a certain massage therapist was in network and when my husband spoke to them he was told she wasn't. My husband asked them to look to see how much we owe. He was quoted $350 or $360. I called back to set up a payment plan and I was then quoted $160.00 balance. I was told all claims that had been sent in to the insurance company had come back and the only ones pending were with the one in-network provider he was seeing. I called his insurance company to verify and there were 3 claims pending for the provider he saw that was out of network. I was told it was a $40.00 copay by the office and when I spoke to his insurance company they said 40% responsibility. No copayment for out of network providers. I've previously called to confirm his copayment once over the phone to see how much was owed because they first stated they wanted to wait for the first bill before they started charging us the copay and I was told $25.00. Which is the price for an in-network provider. We were never told throughout the rest of the visits that he owed more. Never received a bill stating we owed more. Everything points to us being told they were in-network providers. Only one massage therapist they have there is actually contracted with his insurance. But that wasn't who they recommended for my husband and they didn't tell him the other two weren't in-network. Unfortunately we lose not only on paying a higher price but being a single family income my husband now has to wait until we get them paid off before continuing massage elsewhere. read more

I travel to Olympia every few weeks for business. A couple weeks ago I was there, and I was suffering from severe back and neck pain. I regularly see a chiropractor in my hometown, but I was in so much pain that I could not wait till I got back home for treatment. A colleague of mine recommended I see Dr. Dandrea while I was in town. I was greeted by their friendly staff and knew right away I was going to be in good hands. Dr. Dandrea examined me and really took the time to understand about my condition and the treatments I get back home fully before he adjusted me. He is extremely knowledgeable. His adjustment was amazing, and I walked out of there feeling better within minutes. By the next day, I was completely back to my normal self. He gave me exercises to do while I was home and traveling that would help to avoid the flare ups I get.
