Simply the best. I know that I haven't seen you guys in quite a few years but that's a testament to how good I've actually been feeling.

A few of the nurses were very nice but most were inattentive and uncaring. It shouldn't take 3 hours to respond to a call button. Part of the problem is the setup of the call button. There is no ability to tell them what is wrong. Wanting a glass of water is different from bleeding profusely but each takes the same 3 hours to get a response. There were a number of medication mix-ups in which they claimed the nurse gave me medications, but I never got them. These were not controlled substances. My roommate had alarms going off all night and they were unresponsive to them, keeping me awake all night. PT was great and would recommend them. This was the final straw for me. I had a medical clearance to leave. Due to my home health aide canceling at the last minute, they were unwilling to arrange transportation for me to get to an off-site medical appointment. Their excuse was they didn't have time that day and needed to go home. They wanted me to stay overnight but I didn't have enough time the next day to do their checkout process and get to my appointment on time. I left AMA as I lived quite far from the facility. They said they could no longer help me with anything like help carrying my bags to the front. When my ride arrived, all the doors were locked to prevent people from wandering out and they wouldn't open the doors for me, thereby keeping me prisoner there.

Waste of time speaking with the administrator yesterday. The nursing staff here has been good. That's not the problem! The problem is with the social worker, business manager and now admin. Covering up for the first 2. Long story, won't bore you with all of the details. My brother is in the hospital ICU. He will not be returning to this place. If and when he gets out of the hospital. Looking for a new place, closer to home. He was placed 90 minutes one way from me! First problem. With the price of gas I could only visit once a week. The facility never performed PT with my brother, which is why he was there in the first place. He caught COVID while in care center/ lost his his voice. Got a bed sore that was not properly cared for. Turned into infection. Back in hospital for 2 weeks and now he has Sepsis!

They got him a shower and in the process they put a plastic bag over his foot, but the bag was full of water and blood from his foot . I contacted them via their website site lodging a complaint about this, also how my roommate has to go search for the nurse for his meds, only to be ignored. Absolutely Unexceptable!!! There's no milk or juice served with meals, only a small glass of water Absolutely Unexceptable again. The meals are Absolutely Unexceptable, and, Horrendous. Now to the staff .... In the 20+ years I have worked running kitchens in these facilities, I am APPALLED at the rudeness of the Staff, and lack of any caring what so ever about their residents. I just discovered that I have been blocked from contacting them thru their website because I lodged a complaint and have therefore lodged a written complaint to the State and to OSHA. THE PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!!!

They also didn't have her anxiety medication and one of her Parkinsons medications. Their pharmacy is in Seattle and we are in Olympia and they didn't have other options. And she was very anxious from another patient that was staged in the hall and he was screaming and moaning for hours. We were very uncomfortable in our room that had no air conditioning or fan and one 8"x8" opening window for air. The staff was nice but did not seem to understand the medication and eating regime needed to care for Parkinsons patients. My wife is vegetarian and there were very few options to give adequate nutrition. After not seeing a Dr. all day I got to see the doctor in the evening and after going over my concerns he didn't say one word to me, turned away and started talking to his nurse so I felt very dismissed. The next day they still did't have the medications so I checked her out against medical advice even though I never got any advice from a doctor! I could go on but I would not recommend this facility!!

My mother, a resident at this facility, has been subjected to appalling neglect and incompetence, leaving me with no choice but to write this review. First and foremost, the blatant disregard for my mother's well-being is utterly unacceptable. Despite providing clear documentation of her allergies, Puget Sound Healthcare recklessly served her food to which she is allergic on several occasions. This egregious oversight not only demonstrates a shocking lack of attention to detail but also poses a serious threat to her health and safety. It is unfathomable that a nursing home entrusted with the care of vulnerable individuals could be so careless with something as fundamental as dietary restrictions. Furthermore, the level of attentiveness from the staff at Puget Sound Healthcare is nothing short of abysmal. Basic tasks such as responding promptly to call buttons or addressing concerns in a timely manner seem to be beyond their capabilities. It is disheartening to witness the indifference with which they approach their responsibilities, especially considering the vulnerability of the residents under their care. If you value your family members and want the best for them, do not use this business. I feel as though my concerns have been blatantly ignored.

From the time we arrived until the time we left, I felt like we received a high level of care from professionals who were great to us. Everyone from the nurses, to the technical professionals who drew blood, operated the X-Ray and EKG machines to our doctor were excellent, caring and nice to us. I was extremely thankful for the level of care we received last night. I would like to specifically mention Dr. Ross who took great care of my family member and was excellent helping us through a difficult situation. I'd also really like to highlight our main nurse who was excellent and really helped us through this situation. My family member has notorious problems taking blood draws and our nurse nailed it on the first try perfectly, one of the most impressive things I've seen in a hospital. I'm sorry I didn't get his name but he was excellent. Thank you Mason General, we appreciate you very much.

For several years, I have been delighted with Mason Clinic and every person on its staff. My…read morerecent and terrible experience is the exception. I am a fit and trim male, 71 years old. Just over a month ago, there was sudden appearance of a painful lump just under the nipple in my right breast. It was causing visible projection of the nipple area (creating a very unwanted feminine appearance even under clothing) and made even turning over in bed difficult. Rather than waiting for an appointment, I went into Mason's walk-in clinic for immediate attention. Knowing cancer was a possible cause, I hoped for immediate needle biopsy, but procedures required interim diagnostic steps (mammography and ultrasound) which ended up consuming most of a month before the cancer scare was eliminated. Anticipating that result (and in extreme anxious to address what I correctly guessed would prove to be plain gynecomastia), I had in advance asked Dr. Soha to be poised, once that result came in, to rapidly address the gynecomastia issue (I loathe each and every day of living with this condition). I was expecting: (a) referral for surgical removal of the mass; and (b) a lab order for hormonal testing, given the absolute fact that my condition is likely caused by a hormonal imbalance. Just as soon as the result was posted (last Friday), I again messaged Dr. Soha, reminding of my request for rapid action. He ignored me. I called staff and they messaged him, relaying my request for attention. Notwithstanding repeated requests, he continued to ignore until, in a message last Tuesday, I complained, saying that it felt like he was deliberately ignoring me. He replied the next morning, condescendingly claiming otherwise, telling me a whole series of things he knows I already know, and still failed to take any action. He said he'd "be happy" to send the referral for possible surgery (why did he not just do it?), but outright refused to make the lab order. His claimed basis is that the finding of no cancer makes such testing unnecessary -- notwithstanding that, in fact, hormonal imbalance is specifically indicated as the likely cause of such late-onset benign gynecomastia as I've encountered. I replied back to Soha requesting, yes, by all means, please proceed with the surgical referral (just as I'd already repeatedly requested). He did not reply, and instead had his assistant call me to setup an appointment for over one month from now. So far as I can determine, it appears Soha is determined to delay any further action until after that appointment -- if he'll even grant it then. I feel like he is being purposely obstructive and dilatory. I can only speculate that perhaps he is offended when a patient seeks to aggressively manage his own care, but I've had it with Soha. Both my wife (who has likewise had unhappy experiences with Soha) and I have sought assignment to a different physician. We prior had a physician and PA at Mason who we very much liked. Any issue like this with either of them would have been unthinkable.
