I notice negative labeling of the children's behavior instead of an attempt to show them how to act appropriately. They have one thing to teach at this age, social emotional skills. And this doesn't happen here. They would rather label children as a thief, bully, looser or popular instead of trying to teach all the children to get along and resolve conflicts. I removed my child from this school and although I gave them adequate notice they still tried to fine me. Still a year later my child is suffering from behavioral issues as they have been "trying on" what was done to them. Which could have been avoided if the staff was trained properly. When a staff member comes to me and reports the issue and tells me they don't know how to deal with it, maybe the owner should invest some of her money into training staff how to deal with these situations instead of opening a sandwich shop. They get grants for the parents to get free child care why can't they get grants to get their staff up to date on training? They are lucky I haven't taken them to court for what happened to my child there.

If you're on the fence about sending your little one here while you work or even just half days so your child can gain school experience, I'd say you have nothing to be afraid of. They use an app called bright wheel & send you photos and videos pretty frequently. I loved seeing my son learning in the classroom setting. When I had questions I'd use the app to ask, or check on him and they responded very quickly. I can go on and on, about what an amazing experience we had with this school.

We toured & tried one other provider & it just wasn't the right fit for either parties. As with Journey, my boy felt right at home & YOU CAN SEE IT. Rosie is also a doll! Journey & Rosie together make the perfect team. All of the kids take to them as if they're their aunties & that really warms my heart. We started searching for a provider before my boy was born, toured 3 other when he was on 4 months. It took us well over a year to look for a great place like Joyful Journeys to help us out. I knew I had made the right choice by choosing Mary as the person who gets to raise my little baby while I am away at work. I specially like the fact that she always gives me an update on my daughter's day when I pick her up. If I am not the one picking her up I always get a text message right before 5PM telling me all about my daughter's day. This allows me to plan for our evening at home. Mary not only keeps her daycare extremely clean, my daughter absolutely loves her. My daughter goes 4 days a week and reaches out to her even after 3 days of not seeing her!
