I'll get the positive out of the way- the doctor I see is incredible. The front desk staff,…read morehowever, are a significantly different story. Their tone and demeanour is disinterested, rude and condescending despite being treated with utmost respect. Zero customer service skills. It's unfortunate that every visit I've had to this clinic has been the same, too. Always rude, always condescending, always disinterested. If you hate your job so much, maybe work elsewhere?

She treated me as if I should know what tests had to be done... She was outright mean to her assistants while I was there and always seemed in a bad mood. Flash forward: my baby is two and I book in to see my doctor because only after two years of being a new mom was I thinking about taking control of my own health. I booked in for a check up and the next day her office called to tell me because I didn't check in with her for two years she no longer is my doctor. Maybe I misunderstood the relationship between patient and doctor but I didn't think you could break up with a patient just cause I didn't have the need (or time) to book an appointment for myself. After this experience I did not want her as my doctor anyway. Good riddance. I never write reviews let alone bad ones but women.... with female issues...I wouldn't step foot in her office.

Dragged my sick ass out of bed to get here because their website said it was open from 9-5, but…read morewhen I got there some guy (reception??) said "the doctor takes her last patient at 4:30" and that it was on the website. Since it clearly wasn't on the website when I looked at it before I left the house (note: I live 10 min away), I pulled it up again and there was a little note saying "Doctor has taken her last patient for the day". WTF?? I asked him if he thought it was reasonable that I would continue checking their website while riding my bike there and he just stared at me blankly. I mentioned if they state they are open till 5, they should be open till 5 and not close when they feel like it. Needless to say I did not get treated.

My mother was told to try something and come back and when she did, she was told to try something else and come back. It makes you feel like you are part of some trial and error project. Also, when I stated that I had more than one issue - the doctor said "The place is so busy, I can only take one issue at a time. You will have to come back for that issue." To my amazement there was ONE whole patient sitting out in the waiting area. I want to be grateful for our healthcare system, I really do.....but experiences like this just make me wonder about the ethics of doctors. (Hippocrates is probably turning in his grave)

This gentleman was in such a rush and did not allow myself explain clearly what my mom needed. Moreover, I was explaining the name of the medication to avoid any errors so he said (WHATEVER) I had to take a deep breath not to burst. VERY BAD SERVICE AND RUDENESS FROM THIS SO-CALLED Dr. Vikram Devalia. In the end, he did provide what was needed for my mom to continue with her treatment surprisingly!!! This is unacceptable for a health care professional to treat a personal in needs of their medication in such a bad manner. No one recures to the doctor because they want to, just because people need the doctors. I do understand the health system is collapsing but everyone deserves to be treated with respect and to be heard. Dr. Devalia if you aren't happy with what you do here, LEAVE the country and go back where you learned that poor education of yours. I'm also a healthcare provider so I can assure you, there is not need to provide such and unprofessional service to the community who desperately seeks for help.

They told me that the doctor *randomly* goes to other clinics and hospitals so they can't tell me when they can actually see me. If you need to see a doctor, don't come here because the doc is probably not in.

I've been coming to this place since 2012. There are several doctors and nurses at this centre…read more Usually the nurse sees you first before the doctor, to take history or take vitals. The nurse can also give you vaccinations. They are linked to St. Michael's Hospital. If you have to visit the hospital, the clinic automatically gets results over their computer system. This is a family unit clinic, where your file is shared between the doctor's at the clinic, so any of them can see you under an emergency situation and your doctor is not available. There is a bloodwork clinic in there too. There are social workers covered by OHIP to help you with things like stress. There are dietitians civered by OHIP to help you with nutrition. They also run drop-in clinics after-hours. There is a TV in their waiting room. Starting late 2018, they started allowing email communications. As of Mar 2019, they have expanded into what was Appletree Medical Centre providing them with more rooms for the non-doctor offices. Sometime around 2024, you can book a non-urgent appointment with your doctor, but expect to be booked 3-5 weeks in the future. I've been through ups and downs with this clinic. The family doctor (Dr. Lee Schofield) I had since 2012 started getting worse in customer service after 2018. It got to the point where he was very late and then didn't even show up for appointments! He eventually left the clinic. With bad news came good news. All his patients got transfered to a new doctor, Dr. Margaret Hess. She is beyond excellent! She even won awards during her residency. She will even call you during the weekend to discuss results with you! After the pandemic, when you called, you usually have to wait over 1 hour to speak with someone. Around 2024, the wait time reduced to 5-10 mins. There is a way for a doctor to request info from you over a secure communications channel. There is free WiFi. The clinic is wheelchair accessible. There is one gender-neutral washroom which is also wheelchair accessible. There is paid and free neighbourhood street parking. Review 2025-147

Probably one of the worst medical clinics I have ever encountered. The nurses are incredible, but…read morethe one doctor that I had there is really bad. The most he does is prescribe medications - he doesn't care about one as a human being or follow correct diagnoses from other doctors not associated with St. Mike's A huge part of the problem lies in the fact that bookings are controlled by the Manager of Receptionists at St Michael's Hospital who books patients for - St.Lawrence Health. I believe Lauren Massey is her name, and she acts like the Gestapo. I intend to take them to court.
