Thankfully I found Joe. He was knowledgeable, funny, a great guy and didn't try to upsell a thing. He replaced my water heater at a great price. While he was here my sewer was backing up when he tried to drain the water heater. He asked that we get it cleared before he finished the job. We called Homeservice plumbers and they came out, said there was a block and they would have to tear up the basement and the starting price was almost 7k. More if they found other problems and they repeatedly tried to use, used car sales tactics and scare tactics to get me to replace Joe as my plumber and destroy the basement to clear a "block". Joe recommended Colorado Sewer Service and they came out and cleared the "block" in 10 minutes for 1/50th of what they were going to charge to tear up the basement and install a new unnecessary pipe just to begin with, which I am sure they would have tried to turn into a 20k plus job. Joe did a fast and excellent job and is just a good human being. I cannot say enough good things about this man and his business. Without a doubt I will use him for every job I need in the future. It was after hours, of course. I called TNT and they promised me they could take care of it. They quoted me a super expensive after-hours service charge, but I was desperate and agreed. An hour later, they canceled, saying the best they could do was Monday. Now it is WAY late, and I have a tenant that is freezing, the pipes might also freeze in the house, and I am stuck scrambling around trying to find someone to do a late emergency repair. Their only suggestion was to call another company that has a reputation for being horrible. This used to be a reputable company, but now they have new management that is part of another big "group". Stay far away from this company.

They responded almost immediately to my Yelp request, and were able to come out the next day. Their communication is excellent; I got numerous messages confirming my appointment and letting me know the technician was on the way, as well as a follow-up call to check that everything was satisfactory. My only gripe (for which I knocked off a star) is that they are very expensive, even as plumbers go. They charged $857 for a 1-1/4 hour job, for which I provided the materials. One nice feature, though, is that they do flat-rate pricing based on the job and not on time, so you know in advance how much it is going to cost.

My wife is in Hospice care and I am 73 years old. I accepted the estimate thinking that it must be a complicated job. I also didn't want to have a parade of plumbers inspecting the problem to get multiple quotes. I also feared the pipes could burst soon, so I felt a sense of urgency. But I accepted the estimate. One hour and 15 minutes into the job, the plumber told me the job was done. I was surprised and angry. I asked him if they always charge $600 PER HOUR ( I included some travel time in the calculation).. He told me he doesn't set the prices. I called the company told them my thoughts on pricing and asked for the owner to call me as I didn't want to blindside him with a bad review. He/ she never called back. I called them to snake our sewer from the house to the main line in the street. We have old clay pipes and a big tree....so, roots are a problem for us. I had been told by another company that our line was in bad shape and that we would need a new one VERY soon. (That was 4 years ago). So I've been losing sleep over it ever since.....waiting for the poop to fall, so to speak!! So when Ken drove up, right on time and in a nice looking truck, I was worrying that the very act of augering the line would cause a big problem for us. I begged him to be gentle to my 60 year old clay pipe. Well, he got the roots out quickly and without even complaining about my mean old rose-bushes that surround the clean-out. But here's the sweet part: he heard my concern and worry about the condition of our line, so he got out his camera and scoped the line to the main for me, letting me see what was REALLY going on down there, explaining it to me as we went. And I DO NOT NEED A NEW SEWER LINE!!! IT"S FINE!!! And then he took his flash drive and burned me a DVD of the video to keep for my records!!! I know that many companies will charge extra to video your line. Ken did it to ease my mind and make sure that he had done the job right. He cost less than the last company and gave me a 90 day warranty. If you need sewer cleaning or diagnostics, this is the company.
