MDP was recommended by a friend. I had a toilet that was constantly running. The guy who doesn't have teeth on the bottom told me everything in the tank would need to be removed and replaced for $385. I watched a YouTube video and saw that all I needed was a new rubber flush valve seal, so I purchased one for $4.17 and easily did my own repair in ten minutes. No worries though, when I got a second opinion from Nytech (before doing my own repair) their dishonest sales person/plumber tried the exact same trick and got the same one star review. My husband and I were in the process of selling our home when our Buyer's Inspector blew us out of the water suggesting 3 items to be repaired/replaced and insisting that we had a sewer problem in the line that had "offsets, roots/fecal matter at elbows, a number of problematic bellies", etc. We called, texted, emailed and spoke with several plumbing companies. We got a lot of different answers, different ideas to solve our problems and of course, different monetary numbers ranging from ridiculous to outrageous! Here enters the company of the year, My Denver Plumber. We started our communication out with the Administrative Lead person named Nanci. She was very pleasant to deal with, and she walked us through the appointment process and what to expect from the sewer line crew. By the time our conversation was over, we fully understood the upcoming process. She was thoughtful, knowledgeable, fun to speak with, proficient and very professional! Next, we dealt with the Assistant Manager named John. He was very skilled in his craft, professional, experienced, courteous and answered all of our questions. It was very refreshing to find someone who did not seem to be in the business of ripping customers off and taking advantage of those of us who are not familiar with sewer issues. Especially since we had none the entire 22 years that we lived there! So, talk about a shock that this was something that we had to mitigate. When John came out to meet us, he did spend a lot of time explaining everything to us, walking the property with us, pointing and measuring out where the defects appeared to be as well as scoping the sewer line slowly to allow us to see the problematic areas in the line. He was in no rush and wanted to make sure that we understood the next steps. Needless to say, they earned our business, and we felt good about everything we were about to encounter in order to address this problem. We got on their schedule immediately. John and his crew, headed by Manny, were on time to our house, had all of the equipment they needed, were very courteous, professional and ready to get to the job at hand. They were in our home and on our property for a day and 1/2 in all. Manny and his crew went above and beyond and were communicative answering all of our questions and when we didn't quite understand, they took the time to show us what they were going to do to address our problem. Jim saved the day! I tried to let a friends husband who is a Master Plumber come see why it sounded like there was a leak from the upstairs bathroom into the main floor living room. The other plumber proceeded to actually make the situation worse and then refuse to come back. I found My Denver Plumber on Yelp and gave them a call. They had time to come out the next day and that is when Jim showed up. He was able to diagnose the issue, fix the problem and I was so happy with the work he did I am requesting him for another job at a rental property next week. This company surpassed my expectations! My past experience in dealing with plumbers has been less than great and way too expensive. I called My Denver Plumber to install a backwater prevention valve and was pleasantly surprised by the customer service right from the first phone call. They were able to get a plumber out within a day or two. Jesse H., who came out and eventually did the work for me, was extremely knowledgeable, patient and professional. I had many questions and concerns and he took the time to talk me through everything. The work was done in a timely manner for a reasonable cost. Jesse did top notch work and cleaned up the entire area before leaving! Super great service, this company is lucky to have him!! I cannot recommend this company and Jesse H. enough! The plumber showed up for one issue. By the time he left, he had broken two additional things and hadn't fixed the initial issue. I was left with three shower issues, the worst of which was a a new issue the plumber caused: permanently scalding hot water temperature. During his diagnostic, he broke off a plastic adjustment piece that allowed the water temperature to adjust to warm or cold. He just cranked on the temperature handle until he literally tore through the plastic component. I was left with miserably hot water temperature for weeks, until I was able to diagnose what he broke, find a replacement part out of state, and have a competent plumber come fix his damage. The plumber was friendly enough, but he was responsible for a good deal of misery and painfully hot showers. Oh, he also tried to bill $300 for simply diagnosing an issue, and $1,000 for the part to fix it. No thank you. Bluefrog plumbing sent out an intelligent plumber who was able to fix the issues while staying in-budget, and they didn't have a long wait time. I honestly don't know what happened here since based on the reviews, I was expecting a completely different service. 1) We scheduled an appointment at 1PM and the person arrived until 1:30PM. When we agreed on a 1PM, I made sure to clarify that I only had 1 hr, still they arrived 30 mins late. Since they arrived late, my fiancee had to take additional time from work as I needed to go back to my work. Complete disregard for the customer's time. 2) When I first contacted them via Yelp message, I mentioned that there was the need to remove the toilet as the crawl space wasn't very accessible (proof included) and they provided me with a "flat fee" of $165. When they arrived, however, they wanted to charge me $60+ extra to remove the toilet regardless if this was already discussed during our first conversation. Not until I contacted the company, the person agreed to do it for the estimate. 3) They spent 1 hr trying to do the work but apparently they were not able because according to them the angle of the pipe didn't not allow them. I had done it with another company before and this was never a problem for anybody or a reason to try to charge me additional fees. They gave me 2 options, charge more to try to accomplish the work or put back everything as it was and leave without charging me. I asked them to leave. Why? Well, when I receive a "flat fee" and there are 2 attempts to get more money out of me, that leaves a bad taste in my mouth (ironically, their van has the words "honesty. integrity. up-front pricing" in big letters). I called the company directly and the worker didn't even clear this with them. I gave them the courtesy to address this, they said they were going to call me back...they never did. read more

Second time hiring My Denver Plumber in a year. First was a shower repair, this round my kitchen faucet went on strike and would only spew water into the caliber below. They were easy to schedule with, and responsive. The day of service, Jim and Joe were dealing with other job chaos and communicated timing so I wasn't just waiting. When Jim and Joe arrived at the end of their day, they were both friendly, focused, handled the repair quickly, and answered my question. Know that I can ask a lot of really dumb questions bc I don't understand anything about plumbing--and they graciously answered my questions anyways. They left my kitchen clean and my sink is no longer on strike. Pricing is clear and reasonable, and there were no surprise charges. Highly recommend. My Denver Plumber is okay. The positives- reliable, on time. Negatives- overpriced. They charge $185 per hour. I see in their Yelp page they only hire licensed plumbers. Perhaps if you have a complex plumbing job, I'd use them. They don't charge a trip fee. I called for someone to come out regarding a water leak. Spencer M charged $99 to come out for 15 minutes to confirm there wasn't a leak based on what he saw. It definitely takes using different plumbers to find the best one. Really, really...really let us down. We went with My Denver Plumber because of their great reviews here on Yelp. So, as much as I dislike spending the time and energy to write this, at this point, I feel obligated to. 1) Service requested was not the service we received. We scheduled preventative maintenance to check our plumbing for potential clogs, clear the lines if needed, etc. Today, we came to find the only thing they did was pour some chemicals down the drain and called it a day. See #3 to find out how we learned this. 2) Our 16-month old cat was poisoned by degreasing agent they used. This cost us nearly $1,000 and 6-hours at urgent care, 10 days of administering five different medications, and an incredible amount of stress. I spoke with Lisa once everything calmed down and were sure our pet was going to survive, and simply asked for a refund of the service fee. I said we would pay for parts and services ($46) but didn't feel we should be charged for the service call ($205 for 1-hour) based on what happened. She laughed at me, saying "why would you want US to refund you??" she went on to tell me it was my cats fault, and that a refund was "not going to happen." I was (and am still) shocked by this reaction, given how calm and understanding my husband and I were through the entire situation, paired with the reasonable request we were making. So, in an effort to reach resolution and prevent this all from dragging on longer, I asked if she wanted to think about it, and maybe discuss with the team first then let me know. She again said that it probably wasn't going to happen, and that she would call me back the next day. She never did. Note: Accidents happen. And when they do, you thank your lucky stars you're responsible enough to be working with a fully insured contractor. Their liability insurance is literally in place to cover them in case of a mishap (example: $1k at the vet). But I guess none of that really matters when conducting business like the fine people at My Denver Plumber. 3) We had 1 guest staying with us this weekend, which meant multiple showers and bathrooms in use simultaneously. Low and behold, some blockage in our line caused our basement shower and toilet to back up completely, flooding our basement with sewer water. This would not have happened if the service we schedule weeks ago had actually been completed. Cue calling every plumber in town to see who could help us on a Sunday (turns out emergency Roto-Rooter services could - should we have just gone with them in the first place?), emergency water remediation contractors, and an insurance claim for everything in our basement that has to be torn out and replaced because it is covered in poop water. So yeah we're pretty upset and cannot recommend this business at this time. read more

With so much rain our sump pump was not keeping up, or so we thought. I called a number of plumbers and no one called us back. My Denver Plumber actually picked up on the first try and sent some one out almost immediately. Jesse, the service man showed up and told us our sump was clogged out in the yard but the sump was working just fine. It was all an easy fix. However, he did show us our hot water heater had a lot of corrosion and was indeed ready to pop. He came back the next day and fixed it. I was pleased with the pricing but even more so with the skill and professionalism of Jesse. The front office of My Denver Plumber is also to be commended for their promptness. He offered to give me a credit of a half hour but didn't actually do it. I had his time logged on my Ring camera. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. If you are fortunate enough to get a good plumber who does a good job, you will no doubt leave a five-star rating. But be warned, if ANYTHING goes wrong on the job, they will hang you out to dry. The plumber they sent created more damage than he fixed. I had a small leak in a sink drain line. He fixed that, but while working he nicked the dishwasher drain hose, which he "repaired" using duct tape and a screw clamp (see photo). The resulting leak in that hose damaged my hardwood floor. When I sent incontrovertible photographic evidence and a description of what happened to the company, I was told, "He is a master plumber. It is impossible that he did that." Period. When I asked if they would really risk the reputation of their company for a lousy $500, they responded, "It's not about the $500, it's about right and wrong. And we are right." Wow. It was quite obviously about the $500, and they are clearly a greedy, dishonest company that will not take responsibility for anything other than cashing your check. Be warned. read more
