Our initial experience with Daniel was excellent. Our fence was completed on time and his team was very professional. The problem came up when we noticed the fence posts were bending, pulling the fence forward, and not allowing us to open the gate completely. The fence was about 1.5 years old at the time. I messaged Daniel and requested he please come and see what would be required to fix the situation. We were concerned the entire gate would be damaged if the repair was not completed quickly. Several weeks later he responded to my request. Daniel came to our home, reviewed the situation, and said he would get back to us. Several weeks later he responded with a text stating he could guarantee his work but not the materials since he had no control over the materials. I was very surprised at his response and requested a quote to fix the situation since the gate was at risk at this point. A quote was requested in August 2023 and we have not had a response to date. He said it was a software accident. I was willing to still move forward with the job at the reasonable price. I then unexpectedly received an email stating that they are unable to help me with the job and wish me luck. The recent storms had hit me like they had hit so many and my entire fence needed replacing. Daniel returned my call quickly and came out right away to give me a bid. He explained the entire scope of work to me including how he would need a few extra days to make sure 811 came out to mark all the utilities. Update: 2/9/24 Owners response is not true and just trying to make excuses for his poor business practices. Our neighbor paid the fence company $900 for his share of our new fence and was involved in the entire process as we shared the fence. At the original estimate time yes, we were unsure of what to do because we were getting bids for possible fixes, but by the time we reached out to inquire for a whole new fence we were ignored and told he would call us to reschedule the second missed appointment and never did. Seems like owner is confused on what we were needing which shows his poor communication skills. If you would have called us back you would know everything you needed to know. Thanks for wasting our time. There are to many great companies to waste time on company's who think they have enough business and don't need the money or too lazy to get the work done. Weather is unpredictable and understandable, but follow through, if you say lets talk later in the week to reschedule and then never do, that's on you. On 18 Dec I notice the gate settled somehow and was not catching properly at the latch, so I contacted him back for a follow up repair. Daniel repaired our porch steps and stained our decks. We had some wood steps that were rotted out and he was able to have the steps replaced at a reasonable cost. He then prepped and stained all our decks. Daniel was courteous, on time, and hard working. I reached out and spoke to Daniel via phone at 2pm on a Monday to come by my home to look at my yard and give me a proposal for a new wooden fence install because the current one is falling apart. He ask that I text him my address, which I did shortly after hanging up, and he didn't confirm via text until 10:42pm Monday night that he will come by Wednesday between 11a-12a. There are not enough good things to say about Daniel & Son. They worked hard all day right up until it was too dark to work. The fence it's self, is extremely well built. They work with me and my crazy schedule, they showed up on time and only took about 20 minutes to eat lunch. They also worked very hard to help me stay within my budget which I truly appreciated.
