I am a 25 year old female and I have been seeing Dr Daniels for over 10 years. I was referred by my mother who had been seeing her prior to that. As I got older and taking more responsibility, around last year when my insurance changed I was supposed to start paying the copay. It was a lot for me to keep up with along with the other bills so I began to think about my progress and that I might be okay without seeing her so often. I explained all of this to her assistant, Angela, and asked her to please transfer my records to my primary physician. She had never been rude before but immediately after this request she acted differently and no longer was friendly. Angela did not send my records I had to follow up two times before finally, coming close to 30 days, they were sent.
After about 6 months, I realized that I would really benefit from seeing her again and talking some things out because I was struggling on my own. It was to my complete shock that my phone call was Never returned, I had to call again, only to hear back from Angela (verbatim referring to herself as the 'messenger') letting me know that Dr. Daniels would suggest that I seek help from another provider... instead of seeking help from the one, singular psychiatrist I had been seeing my entire life. Being upset, I begged Angela for a reason, which she would not give. I asked her to please talk to Dr Daniels and get a reason and even said that I would want to come in and talk to Dr Daniels to understand why she would say that. It has been over 24 hours and I have not heard back and I honestly don't expect to.
I am so astonished at the lack of compassion and care of this person with a medical degree shows to her patients that try and go independent. Her receptionist choice is fitting to reflect those traits listed above. There is no grounds or reasoning to treat a life long patient like this and I am most definitely going to make this as known as possible. read more
