He had very little medical knowledge in general and would look up webMD on his phone to tell me about what my problems could be. He didnt know what kind of tests to do to diagnose my issues. I had fungus in my hair as a result of which I had hair loss. He though I had alopecia and was balding. He is quite impulsive in making decisions and does not follow a scientific way to analyze the problem. I would recommend him for allergies or stomach aches but if you have a peculiar problem, go to a better doctor.

I had a good experience with Dr. Costabile for about a year, but one day when I was sick, I called to make an appointment with him and was told I couldn't see him because he wasn't my doctor. The receptionist said my "doctor" was a physician's assistant. I explained that I'd been seeing Dr. Costabile, but she said she couldn't schedule me with him. After several months, they offered a new young doctor and I saw him for a little over a year. Today, I called to schedule my annual physical and was told the new doctor was leaving the practice and I should call back in a month to see if they had hired someone else. The receptionist quickly gave me the names and numbers of two other practices. It seems Devon Familiy Practice doesn't want to keep their patients and is actively trying to unload some of us, so I'm looking for a new practice.

I have had some challenging conditions for which he coordinated my treatment between several medical specialists. He diagnosed a very rare blood cancer. Most other doctors have never even heard of it. He always returns calls promptly. Always on time for your appointments. His physicals are thorough and he meets with you when finished to discuss his findings. I could go on but the fact that I've been his patient for so many years shows my confidence in him. I have always found the office staff to be attentive and very friendly. They know your name when you arrive and always ask about your family.

Previous to this place, I used to have Chestnut Hill Family Practice as my primary. I was never happy with CHFP between the long waits and poor communication. Finally when I moved to Wayne back in the day I switch to this place, so I could have a more convenient provider. Best move I ever made! Unlike other providers, they have you get your blood work done before your yearly physical. This way your doctor has your results in hand when he conducts your physical and he can focus on any concerns the blood work may have revealed. Other places (like CHFP and where my wife currently goes) will do your blood work after your exam, and then you never hear from them. I like the way the doctor takes his time with me here. I love the short wait times too. It takes me 25 minutes to drive there from Chestnut Hill, but it's worth it. I remember waiting much longer than that, multiple times, at CHFP to receive inferior care. I highly recommend this place. Oh, another benefit with heading out there is parking is easy.

She had absolutely no bedside manner and had such a lack of compassion for the pain I was feeling. Having friends and family members in the health field I know how important it is to have empathy for patients who are vulnerable and in pain. I called this morning with and was totally disregarded. The nurse acted as if I was bothersome and annoying for calling in to speak with someone. I am the furthest thing from a hypocondriact; I have never ever complained of pain before. I woke up and literally couldnt turn my head and had the worst muscle spasms in my neck to where I was in tears. The nurse was so standoffish and when I said ok well then Ill just try some advil, she said in such a snotty voice "well then try some advil" and hung up. I hate to think how I would feel if something more personal or traumatic were to happen. I am absolutely switching Dr.'s as I think the people that support you are vital to a patients over all comfort level and satisfaction with care. Obviously I just googled and was given some great tips, but what has patient care come to when a nurse can't take 2 minutes and try and offer some advice? Very scary...

Very satisfied with the urgent care service I received here last night. Long story short: I hit on…read morethe car door corner when I opened my car door last evening, which caused a laceration on my right eyebrow. Although the bleeding stopped shortly after, the cut looked pretty deep. So I went to IM at 7:20 pm (they close at 8 pm). I was seen by the Michelle at 7:45 pm and she stitched me up. She did a very good job as far as I can tell. She closed the edges perfectly. The whole process was smooth and her bedside manner was awesome.
