He was amazing…read morethroughout this long process that took me three years and multiple consultations to finally get my wisdom teeth out due to fear of anesthesia. He allowed me to do it awake with only local injections. I was shaking like a leaf but both him and Leah were there to hold my hands (literally and figuratively) - having no problem taking a break when my anxiety hit and I needed a second to breathe and be reassured. I left there with hardly any bleeding, able to drive and able to resume normal functions by the end of the day. And, Leah gave me a gift card at the end and was so kind and hyped me up with pride. I haven't had hardly any pain and all I'm taking for pain management is tylenol and ibuprofen (I didn't want narcotics but it was an option). The next morning I received a call from Dr Sarraf himself checking in on me. I was asleep so i missed it but I greatly appreciated the thought. Although I did have a little trouble with the front office, they apologized and took care of me when I went back in for a follow-up. Dr Sarraf is an AMAZING, COMPASSIONATE and PATIENT doctor that genuinely cares. If you're worried and need assurance that your procedure will be done with care and precision, go here! If you see this, know that because of YOU, I conquered my biggest fear and I finally feel free. You are my hero, Doc!

*This is a review for my experience back in 2014 before becoming a Yelper. I found a Pen that I…read moregot from that office and it actually brought me some fun memories (of me getting my wisdom teeth removed). After getting my first real job and getting the benefits and funds to (finally) take care of myself. The one thing I wanted to get done ASAP was removing my wisdom teeth. All 4 of mine had grown in, luckily straight up, and didn't cause me to get them out sooner than expected. I was referred to this location and from what I remember, was an easy process. I made the appointment, went to it and told them what I wanted. They gave me the process/plan/billing of what it would be to get that procedure done. I remember meeting Dr. Harris and just saying "Please get these extra teeth out of my mouth. I have too many and I want them out!" haha. The front desk staffs were super friendly and helpful with any questions that I may have had. Day of surgery: My boyfriend (now hubby) was the driver who got me there and home after the surgery. When I got there, I signed my forms, and was brought to the back. They gave me some medicine that knocked me out and then woke me up when it was all over. I seriously thought it was maybe 30 mins or an hour. My husband still to this day told me that it was no more than 10-15 mins. He said he was just getting cozy on the waiting chair and just got mid-page of an article until they call him back to come "Pick me up". I "supposedly" kept telling the staff and Dr. Harris "Thank you" while they were doing the finishing process and got me into the car. No more than the weekend, my mouth healed great. It was so crazy feeling those crazy holes of the missing teeth in my mouth. At the follow up, Dr. Harris checked my mouth/gums...everything looked good. I couldn't help but ask if I could give him a hug. He really helped me out with the removal of my wisdom teeth and I highly recommend him to those who wish to get their wisdom teeth out! He was really awesome (AND great at his job!), staff were super friendly and helpful. Thanks Dr. Harris!

This second time I had minimal pain and downtime. They're practicing social distancing -- masks required, hand sanitizer, minimal patients in the office at the same time. You should read this before considering Aspen Dental…read more My review will be lengthy so here is a quick introduction to my experience. Staff was friendly and the appointment got scheduled quickly, that's the extent of the good and why I awarded them two stars. The bad includes incompetence, incorrect charts, unprofessionalism, and a Hippa violation. I broke a tooth a few months ago and at the time it wasn't causing me much pain. When I originally contacted Aspen a couple things really stood out. The receptionist was very friendly and explained that they had to do their own exam but it would be free. The appointment was set quickly and was told that because I was in pain that they would make it a priority to have the tooth extracted, possibly even the same day. On the day of my appointment I was greeted with friendly faces and a genuinely nice staff, I was seen quickly and they began their exam. After the x-rays were completed I briefly talked to the dentist who informed me that I have not one but two teeth that need to be extracted. The dentist seemed professional enough. After the dentist left I was told I was then going to be seen by an oral hygienist. The hygienist was nice but talked to me like I was an idiot. Even used the phrase "you know, like science" (use your best meme voice). I wasn't really upset by this but was shocked by the unprofessionalism and only later did it become more relevant. Only once all the exams were performed did they want to discuss what brought me in to their facility. The office manager came in the exam room and gave me a quote for around $4000.00 for all the recommended work including the extraction of the teeth, deep cleanings, a small cavity, and some cosmetic work. I informed him that my main concern right this second was what was giving me pain and would address the rest of the recommended work at a later date. This is where I received a complete change of attitude. The way I was being spoken to went from how can we help you to, this guy is poor get him out of here. Upon my request the office manager quoted me on removing the teeth that were causing my pain and the quote was almost double per tooth the quote I was given over the phone. No big deal but I had to ask why. He then proceeds to justify the pricing by telling me it was wisdom teeth that need to be removed. Well the dentist told me it was two molars that needed extraction and that my wisdom teeth haven't even emerged yet. After he accused me of being wrong, you know poor dumb person, he then realized someone marked the charts wrong, literally wrote down the wrong teeth needed to be extracted. At this point I was left with more questions then answered and told him that I would have to think about this before I made an appointment. I happen to have a friend who is a dental assistant and called her for some further understanding. She asked me to find out some more information and to get a copy of the x-rays. I will talk about the x-ray request in a minuet. I believe my first call to Aspen after my visit was received by the office manager again, I could be wrong about this, but was informed that everyone was too busy over there to answer any of my questions. Only when exclaimed that I was in pain and was trying to gather more information so I could make and educated decision as to how to correct this pain was I reluctantly given the information I called upon. I then had to call a second time to try to acquire the x-rays they took earlier. I was made aware of a form that needed to be filled out but that they could email me the form. When I received the form via email there was a note sent with it as well letting me know they would not email the x-rays because it was a Hippa Violation (not true, but maybe company policy). The problem is the form that they sent me was partially filled out by another patient, which is a Hippa Violation. Even though I am still in pain and am having to wait for another appointment with someone else I am glad this facility is not performing surgery on me. Human decency does not exist here. The recording the charts wrong is really scary. Could they have possibly removed the wrong teeth if I proceeded with their recommendations?

This is the fast food of dentistry. Terrible follow-up care. No concern for a patient in pain. They…read moresaid just make another appointment in 2-3 weeks. Once they get your money they will ignore you.

My upper and lower jaws fell apart. He was shocked. I could see it in his face. They flopped around like dentures! He immediately tried to fix it, taking the all of the loosened screws out, screwing new screws in. Sent me home, told me to come back for a check up. When I came back, same thing. His eyes were showing his shock. He did it again. Eventually, he referred me to Dr. Robert Strauss who teaches at MCV/VCU. A third major surgery. He had to take a block of bone, FROM MY HIP, to put into my face since my jaws were full of holes where Dr. Padget had kept screwing screws into my face. I asked Dr. Strauss, what happened? He stated, Dr. Padgett repeatedly used the wrong screws every time. Fast forward. . .I now look like a dog. Truly. People tell me that. I had a good job. The district manager was on speaker phone with my manager and didn't realize I was within earshot. He said that I now look like a dog, that I needed a water bowl and bed in my office now since I had the surgery. It ruined my marriage and I lost my job since looks are important in sales which I did. I filed bankruptcy. Now I avoid being seen. It truly ended my life as I knew it.

I was also able to get in next day to get molds for a much needed new retainer, as the one I had was falling apart in my mouth. Everything went great and super quick. I was in and out.
