He told me to come in at 8am on the Monday. I get there at 8am, and they told me to come back at 2pm. I come back at 2pm, and they made me sit in his office for 2 hours. I finally got up and walked out, got home and called a real dentist who got me in immediately the next morning, and fixed the problem. Never again Duane Schultz. Your nothing but a pompous ass

Ask the cost and was told $286.00 with 6% discount if paid by check. = $269.00. Went to appointment and a whole lot of X-rays were done. I inquired why so many and was told "it will be OK". Ask about cleaning and was told Britney would be coming in to explain that to me. Then another person came in and did exam on teeth and gums. This took all of 10 minutes. Ask again when I was going to get my teeth cleaned (as this point I had been there quite awhile) and was told Britney will be in to talk to me. Britney finally came in and starting explaining a Periodontal Cleaning. Told her I did not want to do the Periodontal cleaning just a regular teeth cleaning. At this time I believe I had been there over an hour and still no cleaning. She showed me quotes for a Periodontal Cleaning. They were way out of my budget and told her I could not do that at this time and I just wanted my teeth cleaned. She then said she would have to refused to clean my teeth because I would not do the Periodontal cleaning. I told her if was my decision on if I wanted to do that procedure and she replied "she could get fired for cleaning my teeth". I don't think I believe this at all. I'm a senior citizen and have never had a dentist refuse to clean my teeth. Being a little shocked by all this I went up front to check out and was told I owed $263.00. Still in shock for not getting my teeth cleaned I wrote them a check. Going home, I realized that since I didn't get a cleaning I should not be paying the entire amount they quoted for X-rays and cleaning. Called the office and was told my check covered $169 for X-rays and $117 for the 10 minute exam. This WAS NOT what I was told when I made my appointment. I have never in my life paid $169 for x-rays only. She emailed me a quote on the Periodontal Cleaning - a little over $600 with no explanation on what it covered or how it worked. I assumed it covered the entire cleaning. It was out of my budget but was thinking of ways I could do this. I wrote back and ask if this was a one time fee - imagine by shock when she informed me this quote was only for ONE SIDE of my mouth and I would pay the same amount for the other side. PLUS I would have to come back every 3 months for this cleaning until teeth and gums were healed. That would be $1200 every 3 months until they were satisfied that my teeth were healed. Please note that no where on the quote was this explained. The dental procedure should have been explained at the time I was making the appointment NOT AFTER the appointment was over. I know I was ripped off big time with their dishonesty. Just be warned they are not honest people. Follow-up - I found a new dentist who did his own cleaning and he told me he only saw a little periodontal disease in the back two teeth on my upper teeth. He gave me a plan for treatment that way less than Seven Pines Dental.

Dr. O'Shanick and his staff started taking care of me in 2006, two years after I received a…read moretraumatic brain injury from a dog attack. From 2004-2006 another local neurologist was treating my daily migraines and many other symptoms from the (as of that time undiagnosed) permanent brain injury that I received in the dog attack. This other neurologist's ONLY treatment for me was Vicodin, which was not helping me, it was only making it worse. He did not listen to me nor do an MRI. At the time that I first went to CNS I was barely able to speak in full sentences. Each morning would start with me being sick, from waking up with a migraine, so I could not be around bright lights w/o extreme pain in my head. I had a severe balance problem causing me to fall down three flights of stairs fracturing my spine in several places. I could go on, but you probably get the picture. Dr. O'Shanick listened to me. He properly diagnosed me and helped me with O.T., Speech Therapy, got me off of the Vicodin and on proper migraine therapy. After two years of daily migraines and not wanting to leave the darkness in my home, I finally started to function again! I could remember words when I would have a conversation with my kids. The migraines slowly went away, thank the Lord! I stopped falling, learning how to deal with my balance being 'off'. In short, thanks to Dr. O'Shanick, I actually feel 'human' again. That can only be understood by someone who has suffered a brain injury. I do still have ringing in my ears, but unfortunately that is permanent.
