Office staff is incompetent and communicates poorly with patients. See other 1-2 star reviews, same complaint - so let me add mine. During my last visit the office manager actually read out loud to other patients and staff what my insurance deductible was. When I said I wish you had kept my information private, her response was "We don't have a private room." Think on that for moment. Further - they now charge you upfront money beyond your co-pay prior to submitting to your insurance. they are profiteers. You have been warned. Note: this is the second bad office experience I've had with them and the first time ever I've had an issue at a doctor's office in 45 years. You know you have a good doctor when you look forward to the office visit and seeing him and the entire staff, regardless of whether you have an issue or you're just there for a check-up. They are all attentive and uplifting and they treat all of their patients with integrity. The technicians and doctor were fine, but the office is run very poorly. So many administrative issues ... Their 'portal' is impossible to navigate and even the office manager, Christine, (and on another occasion, another person in the office) couldn't (a) get me set up on the portal for over 40 minutes or (b) tell me where on the patient portal I could access my medical records. They charged a 35 'admin fee' to fill out paperwork for a prescription that needed prior authorization (though it should be part of the 'service' of the doctor's office to ensure a patient can receive and afford a medication needed to preserve their vision), and last time I was there I waited over an hour to see the doctor for less than 10 minutes (and parking in the building parking lot is $5 every 15 minutes). None of the waiting patients were advised the doctor was running late, and no one in the office kept me or the other patients advised as to when we would be seen. At one point (when I did have portal access), I sent a message re a prescription and then was told they never received it. That was blatantly untrue and staff then tried to backtrack their comment that it hadn't been received. Please be aware that the doctors may be fine, but the administrative staff will slowly decimate the practice. read more

Dr Park and his technicians are caring and awesome. Dr Park takes all the time you need and is a brilliant doctor. He has a great bed side manner and understands how difficult it is to have glaucoma. He is extremely bright and skilled. His technician Rob is a complete sweetheart. Rob is a kind and sensitive human being. He is the perfect person to have running the techs in Dr Park's office. I can't say enough of the brilliance and awesome bedside manner of these two medical professionals. Sonia, the surgery coordinator is also amazing. She is on top of her game. She is sweet and kind. She takes very good care of Dr Park's patients. She patient and sweet. One thing though, the front desk staff could use some sensitivity training. You get to have this wonderful experience with Rob and Dr Park, but have to get by the front desk which is not as nice. I wouldn't let this deter any new patients because the incredible brilliance and kindness of Dr Park and Rob WAY makes up for the cold treatment at the front desk. My Ophthalmologist referred me to Dr Krivoy about nine years ago for glaucoma uncontrolled with medication. Dr. Krivoy is very personable and professional. He explains all options and makes risks and benefits clear. The office staff is very professional and helpful. Dr. Krivoy did surgery on both of my eyes. My glaucoma is now well-controlled. I am very comfortable with this office caring for my vision. I highly recommend them. read more

Very disappointed at Dr Daniel Krivoy. He was in a rush and only spent five minutes with us without going over the test results. He left the appointment room door open, so I had to close it for patient privacy. Without acknowledging our concerns, he stood up, opened the door, and put one foot outside, making me stop asking questions. He couldn't wait to leave. I don't recommend him anymore. I've never been treated like that in any office. We only have two eyes, and we pay for the visit, so we expect proper service. Lowest standard of care. Dr. Krivoy was very unprofessional, did not let me ask a single question, stood by the door the whole time, with hand on the doorknob while answering my 1 question. By the 2nd question, he opened the door and walked out, telling me to just "Google it". Did not spend 1 minute to address my concerns. Will not be coming back. Patients should be treated with respect, and allowed to ask just 2 questions without the doctor walking out mid conversation. Maybe don't take in so many clients a day, feels like a DMV inside. Cancelled the rest of my families future appointments as well. There are much more respectful doctors in the area. read more

Dr. Krivoy saved my vision. I had been to 4 ophthalmologists before I found him. Meanwhile I was losing vision from glaucoma. On my first visit he assured me he could treat my eyes. Here I am 10 years later and my glaucoma is under control and I've lost no more vision since my very first visit. I never experience excessive waits and I'm usually called in within 15 minutes. Three years ago, my regular eye doctor told me he was concerned I might have glaucoma. It was not a definitive case so he wanted me to see a specialist. He gave me several names -- I asked "Who would you go to?" His response was emphatic -- and that is how I learned about Dr. Krivoy. I was terrified of what this might mean and went into the appointment with great trepidation. Dr. Krivoy was very reassuring. He did an amazingly thorough exam and sure enough, I did have glaucoma but it was caught early. Dr. Krivoy told me that most eye doctors might have missed it. Most of all, Dr. Krivoy really set me at ease. He said that with proper treatment, I would not lose any more vision. And he's been absolutely right. I have held steady since the day I walked into his office. I've now moved away, but happily drive an hour and a half to see Dr. Krivoy for my check ups -- now only 2 or 3 times a year. His staff is competent and kind. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Krivoy. I will also add during the pandemic, I am very impressed with the protocols they have set up to ensure that everyone is safe and comfortable. From making sure there are only a few people in the waiting area and properly distanced, to fastidious wiping down of all equipment. Finally -- regarding a couple of negative reviews that are very old (one was 10 years) -- sometimes people don't like hearing they have a problem -- e.g. that they need cataracts. Dr. Krivoy is the top of his field. You can tell that these reviewers are not very sophisticated, so I would take their comments with a grain of salt. There is a reason that it is difficult to get an initial appointment with Dr. Krivoy -- he is in great demand. But since becoming a patient, I've had not problem scheduling follow up appointments. My father is 91 and had to have glaucoma surgery. Dr. Krivoy came highly recommended but I also had my father go to see another Doctor to make sure that the selected physician was the best. I recently had surgery in both eyes for cataracts and glaucoma with Dr. Krivoy presiding over the operation and numerous exams. I can't speak highly enough for him and his team's friendliness and professionalism. I never had a long wait in his office for the many necessary exams to begin and found the office to be very clean and modern and the staff extremely professional and pleasant. The office staff is very unprofessional, rude and impolite, with zero friendliness and courtesy. You must be prepared to wait a whole month to schedule a simply check up appointment and at the time of the appointment the incompetent front desk receptionist will let you know that for example your insurance does not cover this service, because this stupid lady doesn't bother to ask you any information about your insurance, thought everybody is a master in insurance policy which she definitely is not herself. In short, do not waist your time and ruin your nerves with such an incompetent staff. read more

Ok Feitsty N You must be too feisty for your own good because Dr Krivoy's office is the most quietly orindarily exceptional office I have been to. I too am a doctor and have had many many good doctors make careless judgement calls for my condition over the last couple years. Unfortunately I was faced with a very serious situation yesterday and not only did his office get me in....but Dr Krivoy got my procedure done that very day as he recognized the urgency for procedure and he CARED. His tech, Keith-OUTSTANDING informed me that since they did not have any of my scans that I would have to repeat them even thought I had all the same tests done in the last 30 days and actually had one test done a week prior to my appointment. I was told that if I wanted to see the doctor they needed the results of all these scans in front of him at the time of my exam because " Dr Krivoy has no room for mistakes or errors" How can you be mad at that. I wish my previous doctors had the same level of excellence that this practice has. All his staff was excellent and I was OVER the top satisfied. From start to finish I was there about 5 hours but this is the reality of having serious eye problems and no one should EVER rush a good eye specialist if they really care about their vision. I wish I could give them 10 stars. This is probably the first yelp review I have ever written because I don't have time for such things, but this was too close to my heart and I was sickened by Feisty's review. I would recommend this doctor to anyone in need of his care. He is so precise and excellent I wish he could manage the care of my retina. Today, an emergency appointment was scheduled for me by a referring physician. To my disappointment and aggravation, I arrived at Dr. Krivoy's office at 12:45 PM and I left at 3:30 PM.Not only did the doctor not accomplish the mission he was set out to embark upon, he put me through unnecessary examinations, dilated my eyes and charged me for all these extras.When I explained to Dr. Krivoy that I wanted him to focus solely on the problem I went there for, he said, "Don't worry, I'll let the front staff know we spoke and they'll take care of everything for you." As innocuous a statement as that was, I assumed I would not be overcharged when I approached the snotty front desk assistant. She ran my credit card and said the doctor did honor his word and he gave me a discount. No, on the contrary, he overcharged for procedures I did not need!Not only did he lose a new patient, he has shown himself to be unethical and uncaring about the best interest of his patients.If you want competent and proper treatment, I recommend you find a different ophthalmologist to go to. read more

These reviews annoy me. Yes, let's be straight up, you will wait FOREVER to see Dr. Krivoy. It is annoying. But there is a reason. He is the best glaucoma doctor in Los Angeles and if you are at risk of losing your vision, I would say it's worth the wait. Dr. Ritch is known as the best glaucoma doctor in the world and I saw him in NY and he referred me to Dr. Krivoy. I am pretty much friends with all the staff I go there so much and they are always nice to me. I could see maybe some people may have a problem with staff and billing, but you aren't reviewing them, you are reviewing Dr. Krivoy.
