I would highly recommend Dr. Sahar Bedrood of Advanced Vision Care in Century City for your upcoming eye surgery (cataracts, etc). She puts each of her patients complete ease and calm, from the very first moment you step into her office. From one glance at the waiting room (not long a wait but many pleased patients returning to see their doctor(s), I was assured and impressed that I was in the very right place for my upcoming cataracts surgery. Dr Bedrood places no pressure on when you wish to have your surgery, but very gently encourages it if needed. And she promised my world will be so much more vibrant and vivid once I do choose to do so. And indeed, she was spot on! Even with only the first eye (my right one), I stepped from a matted, muted drab world to a technicolor one. Dr Sahar is a modern day miracle worker and my 'hero' surgeon. "I can see clearly now." The problem here is no one in this office knows hwo to actually listen to patients. I was referred to Dr. Fram, but was quivckly told that she "wanted me to see" this other doctor in her office. Fine, my issue was watery eyes not catracts. Upon arrival I was sent in to meet with, not the docotr, but a series of technicians who stumbled thru using various gadgets that did or did not work properly. I mentioned to one that I was just here for watery eyes and she told me that liquid tears would help but get the one without preservatives. After about 45 minutes of various tests, which included dilating my eyes, which I was not told about ahead of time, a young, pretty doctor walked in, did a 3-4 minute exam and then declared, "Oh, good news! You don't have cataracts!" I explained that I didn;t come here for that, but rather for watery eyes, and she said "Oh, just get some liquid tears!" I asked how long I'd have to wait to drive home with my eyes dilated and she said "Oh 3-4 hours." When I began to object, she said "Oh we can do reversal drops!" and then walked out and did not return until I demanded that I get these magical reversal drops. They finally found another doctor who applied these reversal drops and I asked how long I'd have to wait and was told "About 1-2 hours." So after 2 hours, with my eyes still feeling dilated and a $50 parking bill looming, -- this is Centruy City -- I just left. I ended up paying a lot of money for being told the same thing about liquid tears I could have found on Google, almost got into an accident on the way home, and was out $50 for parking. A complete waste of half a day, my nerves shot, and frustrated as hell. I'll obviously never go here again, even if I do need cataract surgery, I have no idea whether Dr Fram is as good as they say, but clearly everyone else in her office is sorely lacking, mostly in their ability to stop and listen to what patientss need. read more

I drove an hour and fifteen minutes for a 10:15 appointment and arrived at a sea of patients in the waiting room. I asked what the wait would be and was told that she didn't know. I have been going to Advance Vision Care since 2005. Every doctor I saw were top-notch ophthalmologists. I first saw Dr. Bedrood in Sept of 2022 for annual cataract check. In early 2023, she explained the surgery process after learning I had Lasik done in 2000, and the options and difference of lens I could chose to correct my vision. I've been in the care of two doctors here, Dr. Fram and Dr. Bedrood. Dr. Fram was an excellent physician who took great care in discussing laser surgery to correct my problem with post capsular opacity caused by the development of scar tissue following cataract surgery. In short, she educated me about the condition, the surgery itself, the post care and had a tremendous bedside manner. Dr. Fram also referred me to Dr. Bedrood, the glaucoma specialist in the practice. Unfortunately, Dr. Bedrood was the polar opposite. Rather than to alleviate my understandable apprehension and anxiety regarding the diagnosis, she accused me of having negative energy when attempting in good faith to discuss viable treatment options. I'm certain that Dr. Bedrood is a competent physician but her communication skills are in dire need of significant improvement. A business, not really a medical office. I had a problem with a procedure done by Dr. Bedroot. I was in her office for an appointment. To see the problem, she would have to dilate an eye, but she did not want to spend the time, so she told me to make an appointment with her optometrist. They gave me an appointment for 4 months later. Dr. Bedroot should have taken responsibility for her work and checked out her own work. Instead, she sent me to an optometrist who works there part time, to have me wait 4 months. Yes, it has a professional atmosphere. Like a well run business. That's because it is a business more than anything else. I only went there because I live down the street and can walk there. These are your eyes. Don't trust them to people who don't take responsibility for follow up. It's even unclear who are the doctors there. It appears that Dr Bedroot has some financial relationship with the other doctors who are listed. But it really is just her. That practice has continually changed doctors over the years. They keep selling the practice to different doctors. It's a business. These other reviews are a little too gushing. Maybe they had a good experience and were prompted to write a review. All I can say is that Dr. Bedroot does not take responsibility for follow up on her own work. read more

We recently left this practice after being sorely disappointed, every time we had an appointment the wait was 3 hours at minimum for a 10 minute appointment. I am not exaggerating - 3 hours. I took my mother there each time and had to cancel my entire day. They are about quantity of patients not quality. Unless you want to be a number and nothing more I highly suggest you find a different practice that treats the patients with respect. read more

My elderly mom had an appointment 1 month ago. She has been a patient for over 10 years. This has been a daily and weekly issue to get a response from a technician who doesn't call back or from Dr. Bedrood herself that I ask the front desk to mark urgent. No one takes responsibility to answer a simple question for a prescribed medication. The receptionist has some nerve saying they will get back to you. So many calls and know one can call back for weeks. I have been so polite but now I feel this is a review needed. Patient beware care is below standards. read more

To busy to worry about waiting times- the start of the assembly line for an exam is typically a minimum of 1/2 hour later than your appt time. You then wait at the 'stations' for different techs and equipment. I don't have 3 hours to see a doctor when the whole process should be well under 2 hours. BTW with no parking validation more than 3 hours costs $20! read more

I can't rave enough about this office, its staff and the doctors. The docs are all female and they are incredibly collaborative within their specialties. We were thankfully referred to Dr Bedrood by our former doc because my husband has glaucoma and corneal issues. Had a 2 p.m. appointment, got there 10 minutes early. Waited in the normal waiting/sign in area util 3 p.m.! Finally got called into the exam room, and the fellow gave me my vision test etc. Rather then seeing the doctor I was escorted into another waiting area were after about 15 minutes I got up and complained. Then about another 5 minutes I was escorted into a exam room where after another 15 minutes I said screw it and left. On my wy home I called to complain. Told them they better not bill any of the insurances or I would tell them it is fraud, as nothing was done etc. So it cost me $10 for parking and a BIG WASTE of my time. I recently had cataract surgery performed by Dr. Nicole Fram on both of my eyes. She is a miracle worker! I now see better than I did when I wore glasses. Dr. Fram is professional, knowledgeable and so caring. She is definitely the best of the best and according to my primary physician, she not just one of the best surgeons in the United States but is one of the best eye surgeons in the world. She also has an excellent staff who are all very efficient and kind. I didn't realize how much my eyesight had deteriorated over the years. After surgery, not only could I see clearer but colors were brighter also. I experienced no pain and the day after surgery, my corrected eye was close to 20/20. Had an appointment with Dr Naids. When I got there all the receptionist wanted from me was $75.00 for a vision test which she said was not covered by my insurance. I asked he to check with the doctor as I made the appointment for another problem with my eyes. I asked her to check with Naids if I needed it and if he said I did I would pay for a vision test. All she did was argue with me and said she was reading my chart. She would not listen to me and would not check with the doctor. I left the office without seeing any and anybody, all they wanted was my money. I will never go to that office again. Very disappointing. read more

I recently completed cataract extraction with lens implant performed excellently by Dr Nicole Fram at Advanced Vision Care. I entered with a lot of trepidation to have cataract surgery and finished a very satisfied customer. Dr Fram explained a number of options to not only take care of the cataracts and astigmatism but also replace my existing lenses with monofocals to correct both my near sighted and far sighted vision. Two relatively short processes, a couple of visits to Dr Fram's office and I'm now 20/20 for short and long. The process is well worth it. The very WORST place to go to. A horrible experience for a third time. Waited over an hour after my appt time (again) and never saw an eye doctor for my appointment because the office had my appt service listed incorrectly. I went in for a complete eye exam and they had me down for dry eye!! So nothing was done and I had waited over fourth months for this appt. Then I had to pay over $20.00 for my parking as there is no other parking available other than valet. A complete waste of my time and nothing accomplished. Don't waste your time going here.... The original eye doctor I loved that brought me to the center left to set up her own practice out of state and the left overs are basically assistants that know nothing about eye health. Dr. Chung is my husband's doctor and we absolutely adore her. I sometimes go with him and it's always a good experience. All of the staff is really friendly. One of the last times I was there someone brought in boxes of pastries and shared with the patients that were in the waiting room, which was sweet. Dr Neda Shamie miracously restored my vision after 3 unsuccessful operations. Initially I needed a cornea transplant.I had 3 surgeries all of which failed.
