They have a wide range of frames within my insurance allowance and are open and honest about what I have to pay for and have never hidden any costs or messed up my many prescriptions over the years. Its been a month and I still don't have my new glasses. They charged me two co-pays and the balance on the frame the day of my visit, they didn't give me an itemized receipt, they gave me nothing but a slip of paper that says the amount I paid, but no information on what exactly I paid. Additionally, as I said before they charged me but told me the claim had to be resubmitted to the insurance company only a week ago (this leaves 3 weeks lapse in the order for my glasses). I find myself wondering how they knew what to charge me 3 weeks earlier, without verifying eligibility with the insurance company first (even though when I was there, they said they had it all squared away). I will never go back there, although I am very thankful to the wonderful optometrist I saw there, who notified me of a potentially serious issue with my eyes that I had no idea about before. They referred her to a specialist in Lake Success and she (the doctor) needs to go there immediately. Called a family friend after the appointment and she said it could happen but it's rare and she recommend a doctor we can see. The referral comment really sounded like they just wanted a referral fee from the specialist.

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about their wares, the fit of the frames and what shapes would work best on my face. The doctor was not in so I made an appointment for the following week, but luckily, they had a cancellation the next day. The doctor was extremely diligent in conducting the eye exam. He focused on the changes in my vision and mocked up a prescription for me to try. I was impressed that he actually took into account my work life and screen time. But he also spent a good deal of time examining my eye health. It was one of the most in-depth exams I have had. The shop contains very nice frames in a range of price points. I am so glad I took a chance for on the place and I can't wait to get my new glasses.

Was told first available appointment with my doctor was over 6 weeks away from my original appointment. Offered appointment with optometrist instead of ophthalmologist. Office called me back saying they found an appointment on the day following my original appointment with a different doctor (ophthalmologist) Sign says refraction not paid for by insurance but recommended as an important part of eye exam. After pictures of eye were taken I was told the doctor I was seeing did not do refraction so I couldn't get prescription should I need new glasses. Was again offered the optician to do my exam and was told "he does plenty of diabetic exams and can do the refraction as well". My appointment was with an ophthalmologist. I do not come for an annual eye exam to be told the doctor does not do a refraction when the sign at the check in states that OCLI considers refraction an important part of an eye exam. Why am I wasting my time. I do NOT recommend OCLI

Wait...they double book patients? The front office people did say that's how they book appointments! Nevermind having to wait to see the doctor but to have the staff/technicians be rude and speak to you with matter-of-fact attitude, that really takes the cake! Made my next appointment in the other office the doctor goes to and will see how that goes...otherwise, on to the next. Those front office people and technicians need to go for training instead of walking around with a condescending attitude. One of them was very nice and when I told her about the experience, she said, I like to treat my patients the same way I want my mother to be treated and that's how it should be when dealing people who have been waiting for hours.

This is my first time seeing an actual eye doctor. I had some sort of bacteria infection in my eye and right away Dr. Benjamin was able to rule out any type of blockage. She is a very intelligent and efficient. The whole staff was very accommodating and helpful. I would recommend this office to anyone for any of their ummm, eye needs.
