Dr. Galaif is awesome! The staff is awesome too! They were so patient with my 5 year old daughter, who did not want them any where near her mouth. Eventually, they did get to clean her teeth and do front x-rays. She had a great happy experience, which I find crucial for future dental care. I don't want her fearing the dentist as so many people do. I've been with Dr. Galaif for over 15 years, and I wouldn't trust my teeth or my daughter's teeth to anyone else! Dr. Galaif takes the time to talk with me and discuss all my questions. I love the view from the chair, window in each room with a view that is beautiful, helps when your in the chair for some time. I usually go to the dentist when I'm at my worst, i.e., in a lot of pain. Going to the dentist to get a tooth pulled was the last thing I wanted to do as California had just declared a "safer at home" policy. I had been in a lot of pain for five days when a friend of a friend gave me Dr. Galaif's number and I called right away. To my surprise, he answered immediately and got me a prescription for antibiotics because of the infected tooth. Then he had his oral surgeon, Dr. Maranon, call me. They called my previous dentist to get x-rays sent. And they did all of this on a Sunday! The next day, they both called to check up on me and Dr. Galaif said he would be in his office on Tuesday for emergency appointments as they closed down normal operations due to Covid-19. My pain had dropped from a 10-out-of-10 to a three or four with just antibiotics. He told me to come in and get new x-rays because the last ones were not great. I arrived to find not only a very nice office with super friendly staff but a great view as well! Dr. Maranon was even there! After taking a look at the new x-rays and consulting with each other in my presence but six-feet away with masks and gloves on, they decided they would be able to save the tooth repairing a bad root canal. I didn't even get to share my fear of needles to Dr. Galaif because before I could, he informed me that they use computer technology to numb your nerves and gums. No needles ... no way?! To my surprise and delight, I felt no pain in the process. And, side note, my cheeks, and lips didn't get swollen or numb so I could talk like a normal person immediately after getting out of the chair! I'm so impressed by this office, I can't tell you how happy I am with them. They all went above and beyond. To giving me some Advil before I left or giving me a glove to put on to get out of the building (doors, elevator buttons, etc). Everyone at Dr. Galaif's office is awesome! Five stars all around! Before Thanksgiving I was visiting my mother-in-law and my crown fell off at breakfast. Dr. Galaif is her dentist and he fit me in before lunch. Dr. Daniel Galaif is the Gold Standard for dentists! 6 out of 5 stars! I truly cannot imagine finding anyone any better. I was very fortunate to have a work colleague refer me to Dr. Galaif years ago when I was unhappy with my dentist at the time, and I recommend him to others every chance I get . . . including right now. (Regarding my dentist BEFORE Dr. Galaif, have you ever noticed how some dentists almost seem to be making up things that are wrong with your teeth, sort of like how a crooked car mechanic seems to continually find things that are "wrong" with your car, even if they were recently replaced? You won't have that problem with Dr. Galaif. I don't think he's ever recommended a single thing that I didn't actually truly need to have done in all the years that I've known him, although he maybe does over-do it a hair with X-rays.) Dr. Galaif is passionate about his work and really makes an effort to stay current with emerging technologies in dentistry. I'm astonished at how fast and painless his procedures are on the rare occasion that I need something done. Dr. Galaif is a warm and funny guy, who has a great touch (i.e., gentle with the scraping/poking/prodding devices), which makes him ideal for kids and/or adults who might be a little phobic about dentists. His staff is exceptionally nice, and really on the ball about using email and text alerts to remind you of your appointment. In fact, I wish I could get his personnel to give lessons on how to run a medical office to the staffs of my other doctors! My only minor complaint -- a petty one, really -- is that the valet parking in this HSBC Bank office building can sometimes be a little bit of a hassle if a bunch of people are arriving at the same time.
