A neighbor recommended: Mike's General Landscaping in Camas WA. I have since hired Mike (Actually Ishmael) Vazquez, owner/landscaper and I am very pleased with the quality of his work and the fact that I can trust him to arrive when he says that he will and be very diligent about doing my landscape maintenance while he is at my home. Mike uses his Translator app on his phone to converse due to Spanish being his native language and doing that is just fine with me. Mike is very good and careful about asking before he trims stuff to ensure we are both on the same page and Mike has good suggestions regarding what he thinks would be advantageous for my yard. I am very pleased that Mike was recommended to me and is now is taking care of my landscaping projects. His prices are also reasonable.

Submitted a Yelp request for tree trimming services due to a recent issue with a large branch…read moreunexpectedly splitting away from a backyard tree. The Yelp response resulted in submissions from 5 different companies responding with contact details for arranging an estimate. As a result of Tony's tree service response which included a ballpark estimate on the basis of my input, I contacted Tony and made arrangements for a same day on site estimate. After reviewing the requirements, which I expanded during the visit, we agreed on an estimate which I believed to be very reasonable for the scope of effort. Better yet, Tony proposed commencing work the next day which was very important due to weather and concerns with tree stability. The results provided by Tony's Tree Service exceeded my expectations. The tree has been trimmed back and is stable with no problems. Following my requested instructions, he thoroughly cleaned the area and was careful due to a fence bordering the tree and adjacent properties. Most importantly, Tony was a pleasure to work with and very responsive to my questions & requests. I would gladly contact him to perform similar services in the future.

When it came time to clean up, they did a nice job in front of the client's home and then stopped. There is mud, sand and silt in the curbing area in front of my home and the next home over. I have called 3 times over the past 2 weeks asking them to rectify this situation. Neighboring homes should not be left a mess! Woody's has not returned my phone calls nor sent anyone to sweep, hose off etc. As a retired Landscape Designer, a contractor would not have remained on my 'Preferred Contractors List' leaving such a mess or not returning phone calls.

The tree removal company my insurance set me up with thought the job was too small after looking at the pictures I sent and luckily gave my information to Darrell and Heidi, the owners of A Better Choice. Both of them came out the next day and gave me a quote on the spot and scheduled the tree removal for 2 days later. Darrell and his crew had the tree down and the whole area cleaned up, even reinstalling a down spout that the tree took out and propping up a plant that the snow had knocked over in less then 2 hours. On 10/02/19 finally around 4:30pm I received a call back from Anna and as I picked up to start talking she hung up so I called her right back and had to leave another message and waited for another 20 minutes before she called me back and said I must have butt dialed you and that she needed to call me back anyway. We start talking about days that would work for us and she had one day in mind but it was not good for me, so I gave her 3 other options that would work and she couldn't give any answer and said that she would have to call me back with the answer on 10/03/19. On 10/03/19 at 7am I called them again to set up a day and a time and once again no answer ... still waiting for her to call me back. This company only has 2 guy's on the job and 2 guys on call and no cherry-picker or a lift. 10/04/19 by this time I have called 4 other companies and have had quicker responses back. At this point I will not be using this company. Poor customer relations, lack of  communication, therefore their services are probably poor and worthless.
