Because it affects all hormones in the body being hypo parathyroid. no wonder i am frustrated. The office didn't like being told they weren't doing their job, which was proven, instead they let you go as a patient. All i needed a release of records so i could get back into the study for the higher dose. The release was sent to them but it wasnt good enough. Then they didnt even read the form that clearly explained it was for CLINICAL TRIAL. The office manager called me to argue (real professional) and not listen and told me she thought i was moving to another office. i explained no, I need the records for the study. Good riddance. After seeing him a couple of months I kept being treated like a "squeezed in" patient which made me feel uncomfortable at best. My health kept declining and I went ahead with the radioiodine treatment for my Graves Disease. Dr. Kuhadiya started seeing me by teledoc only and became less and less informative with what I had to do to prepare for the radioiodine treatment. He failed to mention I needed to set up a special appointment for important labs and tests, he failed to mention I had to do the lid diet to help the radioiodine work and he stopped answering all my questions and stopped seeing me period! I had the radioiodine treatment over a month and a half ago and I still haven't had a single appointment in person or on line nor have I started medication for my thyroid!! Had I known I would be left to do this on my own without any help or information that could guide me through this extremely difficult illness and procedure, I would have gone to California to seek proper help with doctors who are more experienced and prepared to help someone like me. I'm getting sicker and sicker, I can barely move, my muscles are extremely sore, I get nauseated all the time, my sugars are constantly through the roof among other things! I already went through the abuses of many doctors in this small crappy town who can't treat, manage nor detect and resolve issues they specialize in and now I'm left on my own with no help. I don't know why it's so difficult to help people like me that have the insurance and can pay for whatever treatment is necessary, can clear payments and show up on time and still not get proper care! I'm not asking for anyone to care but I am asking for individuals in the health care industry to do their damn jobs!!!!! Thanks for nothing! Because of people like you I advocate against donating organs because if people like me can't get proper care that has the potential to shorten my life, then I refuse to donate my organs in exchange for the horrible neglect I've received.
