So... sometimes you see things online and they end up not meeting your expectations once they are delivered ...but this place is the place to go if you ever need beautiful flowers , I live far away and needed a very last minute delivery made to a friend who lives in the area , I searched Yelp and found this florist , called at 10am and a very helpful lady took my order right the way . I explained I needed delivered before 2pm and so I waited . At 12:30 my birthday friend ( the receiver ) sent me this beautiful pictures .. The website is relatively easy to navigate - to select an arrangement, arrange delivery, and pay. They're certainly on the pricier side, but at least the money's going to a local shop and not an international conglomerate, which may matter to some. read more

I think this place has potential...just seems to be missing something that other florist in the are have...oh yeah thats flowers...I walk in and its so empty...and they have been opened for a year now so thats really no excuse. Anyways the lady behind the counter was really helpful as I needed to pick up some flowers for a wedding. She showed me some in a book and came up with some great ideas, so this pumps up the place a star. An odd thing happen though as I am flipping through the book of flowers...in comes an angry looking delivery guy...he throws the keys at the lady...screams..."I FUCKING QUIT"...and storms into the back...she looks embarrassed but lets it go like nothing happen...and continues to help me. I felt bad and also a little freaked out that this 250lbs monster that looked like he just broke out of jail was still in the store. We decide on an item and then comes out comes the WWE's next character Franky the Florist...he looks at her and says "IM DONE...GET SOMEONE ELSE THIS IS RIDICULOUS" So with the roided delivery dude gone I can now breathe a sigh of relief that my last moments on earth were not at some florist shop. I will not rate the place on that incident because shit happens and they can not control how the workers will act. I thought the price was good for flowers and the lady explained that they were in the process of remodeling the place so many of the flowers were in the back. So if you need some flowers check them out...just BEWARE of delivery guys with anger control issues. read more

Working with Lisa at Danielle's Florist in Rockaway was a great experience !! I did not have much of an idea on what I wanted for wedding flower bouquets or centerpieces.  I only knew what I didn't want.  Lisa worked with me so patiently.  After going through ideas and combinations, she created the perfect arrangements for my wedding (while keeping my budget in mind).  The flowers looked amazingly elegant and detailed, beyond anything I could have created on my own.  I received lots of compliments on the florals that night and even weeks after the wedding. Also, I accidentally ordered 1 less bouquet then I needed...!  They so quickly (and calmly) put together one more and it was a complete non-issue for me that day.  Was much appreciated. Prompt, efficient, and great customer service! Ordered the morning of for flowers for my friend's wake and the gentleman who handled my order was patient and courteous. He helped me decide on the set of flowers to have delivered. I called back a couple of hours later to possibly upgrade the set but alas they were too quick! Had the set done and ready to be delivered. Not a con but a note for those who may be also ordering last minute! Today I walked into this flower shop and was blown away. The store is very beautiful and I had a nice warm feeling with the polite and kind staff that helped me explore all of my flower options. I bought a few really nice arrangements for a special family occasion and I am also having flowers sent to friends as well. i have known danielle who owns the place personally for quite some time now..and i donot have a problem critizing..my brother had recently passed away and my mother had gotten in touch with her..danielle quickly made up many many pieces and one piece made took many many hours to make.,.she is an artist and payes so much attention to detail if you want something custom..she made the comedy n drama face on a large funeral piece with all types of flowers..everyone who came was in awe of how wonderful that piece was..i will rate her on originality,presentation,service and promptness..as for prices..some flowers and pieces can be pricy, but she is well worth it and the quality is suberb..kudos read more

Okay, this is during "Sandy" or rather it's aftermath. One of my neighbors had to go back to NY to help their family with their mess from Sandy. They've been there with grandma/pa, aunts, uncles, etc., all trying to get the house in Rockaway back in some kind of condition. Since they are still there as of this post, I decided to send them something to pick up their spirits and at the same time help out a local business (I hoped!). Since there are so many people at the house, I went for a big basket of fruit, chocolates, etc., and had a plant added for future gardening. When I called, I got Danielle herself at home, working partially from there and her store. I told her what I wanted, including the live plant. She couldn't have been nicer. I told her to just deliver it when she could before Thanksgiving. Now, I'm going to add one small note, my friends are both on the short side. Okay, Danielle had to leave the basket on the side porch because no one was home and their cell phones were dead, typical now with no electrical. Anyway, they got their basket and they said it was almost as tall as they were! The response I was in almost incredible. My friends were absolutely thrilled and said it was incredible. Beautiful, chock full of fruit and goodies, ribbon, awesome basket and a new plant! I can't say enough about the service, professionalism, and help she gave me....and all while trying to deal with the remnants of the hurricane herself. Now I live in California, so this was a stretch finding a place that was open and would deliver, all on the other side of the country. Kudos to Danielle and I hope any of you reading this that live out there or near, or have friends that you want to send something to, please use Danielle's Rockaway Florist. She was great! read more

I ordered through Telaflorist (Cape Winds Florist in West Cape May, NJ) the Thomas Kinkaid Country Christmas centerpiece to be delivered to my best friend in Breezy Point, NY. I placed the order on 12/12/15 and paid cash, for delivery on Monday, 12/21/15. Upon delivery (after 4pm) my friend sent me a Thank You text with a photo. I was shocked when I saw the photo. The centerpiece was much smaller than the advertisement I had seen and purchased. There was no greenery, white carnations, pine cones or miniature red ornaments as in the promotion. The whole centerpiece was the Kincaid Cottage (minus a battery - my friend had to install it to light it up) and regular & miniature red carnations with baby's breath. Very small and definitely not worth the money I paid. I was very upset and immediately called Cape Winds Florist and emailed them a photo. They in turn contacted Danielle's Florist the next day and were not impressed with the reaction and lack of response to the complaint. I wanted the centerpiece replaced with all the trimmings, as in the Teleflora Ad. Danielle's refused to cooperate. To top it off, Danielle sent her delivery guy back to my friend's home and he told her the order was cancelled and that he needed the centerpiece back! What a liar! They had been paid in full. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL OUTFIT!!! BEWARE OF THIS PLACE. Cape Winds reported Danielle's to Teleflorist Headquarters and I plan on reporting them to NYC Better Business Bureau and the Rockaway Chamber of Commerce! read more
