The first of February, prior to the freeze, my 83 yr old neighbor called Daniels Plumbing for a leaking toilet. It needed a new wax ring. The plumber talked her into replacing the toilet, as well as both of her old, but functioning hot water heaters. He charged her $5000 to replace the hot water heaters, saying, "I will throw in the new toilet." Please note that, during the freeze, I had two hot water heaters replaced in my house due to freeze damage for $2400. (Mine were more difficult to replace, since they had to go up pull down attic stairs). I did not use Daniels Plumbing. According to the price i paid for my heaters, my neighbor's "free toilet" cost her $2600. One excuse for the delay was getting a carpenter (plumber's choice) to replace a short baseboard, which was removed to check for water damage. Meanwhile, she has had an open sewer line for six weeks, with only a couple of towels stuffed in the opening. When she complained to me of the smell, I knew this was not healthy for an 83 year old woman with severe allergies, to be breathing. My husband and I attempted to temporarily cover the sewer opening for her. My neighbor continues to call Daniels, and keeps getting a future date to have the toilet replaced. Not only was the price more than double what other companies charged, even during a crisisan elderly woman with medical issues, should not be exposed to an open sewer line in her house for six weeks. Decide for yourself if this was a case of taking advantage of an elderly lady, price-gouging, and total disregard for her health. Please note: The latest appointment was for 8:00 this morning. Extremely unreliable. I called and arranged an appointment a week early to have a certain plumber come out and plumb two sinks in a new bathroom vanity. I arranged my entire day around having them do this work, and when no one showed at the planned time I called to find out why. I was told the plumber I had reserved was not available. No one bothered to call me, and the office manager, while agreeing that the office should have called me the night before to let me know, did not seem to care that her staff never bothered to do that. I will start by saying I am very skeptical and weary of mechanics and trades because of bad experiences in the past and being new to the Tomball area and not knowing anyone didn't exactly help. With that being said, I could not be more happy with my experience with Daniels Plumbing. From the minute I picked up the phone and spoke to Jody to the minute the plumber left my house they were extremely professional and helpful. What I anticipated being a major/expensive issue turned out to be something minor and couldn't be more grateful for their honesty and integrity. Lets be honest, I cant even turn a wrench! I would rate this company at zero stars if I could. I called them out to check our water heater. The technician showed up when they said he would but without any close inspection of the tank, told me that I would need to buy a specific part myself and that he could install it for 1300 dollars. When I questioned him on this amount (which is almost twice what it cost me to have this heater replaced and installed) his only response was "hmmm". I escorted him off my property and called a different company that agreed that estimate was extreme. Would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

Called them because they were recommended by my neighbor. My shower head was pouring water from it with the shower handle turned off. It had been slightly leaking before and we knew if was the cartilage inside the shower handle. Conveniently, my husband was out of town, when it starting pouring water from the shower head late at night last Thursday. My neighbor came over and took the shower handle off and tried to help ease the leak up. Needed having to turn the water off. The guy came out on Friday and literally took 5 minutes to change the cartilage. The part was $60 and $365 was labor!! On top of that, he wouldn't he put the shower handle cover back together. He asked me who took it off and I told him, then he proceeded to tell me, "well if they have problems putting it back on, call me and I will come back out and put it back together". I flat out said, "You're seriously not going to but it back together, and he said, no" Ummm, hell NO! You're not charging me anymore than you already did. We will NEVER use Daniel's umbing aging and we will shout it to everyone on the roof tops that we were ripped off!! read more

We recently had Daniels Plumbing out to replace a worn out water heater located in our attic We called before noon, and by 5 pm the same day, we had a new water heater installed. The process involved two visits; one to diagnose water heater breakdown and replacement specs, and return trip with new heater which they hauled up to second floor and through attic stairs and across the attic floor. Technicians were friendly, response was fast. We have used Daniel's Plumbing for plumbing issues several times over last 15 years, and always been pleased with the results. read more

Well to make a long story short.........we could not hook up a bidet in our bathroom, and decided to call a professional............anyway the plumber who arrived was very helpful, and very professional, and did the job right..........in a very short amount of time........... Invariably whenever I tackle any plumbing type job, I usually end up regretting that I had......well next time I will just pick up the phone and call Daniels Plumbing........I found them to be affordable, and so much better for my mental health........... read more

On Thursday 9/20/18, Daniel's Plumbing sent a technician out to unclog our kitchen sink, the tech ran a snake through our line, he ran some water in our sink and said all is good. Well later that afternoon, our sink was still holding water and not draining good, I once again called and they sent out a different technician. We had already paid for the first visit and we were not charged for the second visit. He ran the snake again, well did not help, sink still would hold water, he said he would have to go over the problem with the owner, Mr. Daniel's who was out of town until late Friday. That same day I did some laundry, all of a sudden I hear water backing up in my kitchen sink with gross looking stuff in it, went into my laundry room off the kitchen and water was everywhere, my washer had backed up. We had never had this happen in the seven years we have lived here. I felt this was related to what Daniel's had done earlier. I called them Friday morning 9/21 and ask to speak to the tech or have him call, he never called me. I told the lady what had happened and she assured me that she would let him know the new problem. Well I did not use my washer anymore for fear of this happening again, I was also afraid to use my dishwasher. We went Friday through Tuesday with a kitchen sink that drained slowly for hours, did not use washer at all. Monday 9/24, no call from the owner, we waited until Tuesday morning and called, the lady admitted that she forgot to tell them I had called that past Friday. She promised that the owner would call that Tuesday afternoon, guess what no call and no call on Wednesday 9/26. That was it, we were so disgusted at their lack of concern, leaving us in one mess, and then being charged for something not fixed. We called another plumber, Keppner Plumbing that we should have called to begin with, he was at our home in no time, did several things to determine the problem, explained everything he was doing to us. He worked very hard and got the problem solved. And made further recommendations to us. We are very disappointed in Daniel's Plumbing, their lack of concern, never calling us back after our attempts to call them, promises never kept, leaving us for days in one mess. This is not right to do a customer like this, horrible customer service. I would never call Daniel's again, even if they were the only plumber around. We do not recommend this company at all. This is the second time we have used Daniel's Plumbing. Both times we had Jeremiah come out. His honesty and work ethic is outstanding. The price for a water heater replacement was $1000 less than 1 other quote. The quality of work and quality of the water heater chosen was excellent . So when we needed to replace a faucet and bring it up to code it was Daniel's we called. Again Jeremiah was professional and showed up on time. He cleaned up after the work and asked if I had any questions about the installation. Honest and reliable plumbers can be hard to find. For us we will always use Daniel's. read more

First appointment was scheduled for Friday, 2/19/16, when we scheduled the appointment we requested that we would like them to bring their plumbing camera, as we had an issue between the house and the septic. When Mike G. showed up he had no camera and had no idea what he was even to do for us. Complete break down of communication in who ever scheduled the appointment and dispatching.(First red flag). So Mike G. come back out on Monday 2/22/16 with the camera and says that we need to dig up the line between the house and the septic, which included having to saw through/jack hammer 20+ feet of cement, and replacing all the PVC pipe between the house and septic and quoted $4,500 to $4,800 for the job, and that if they did the work, he would drop the $300 charge for the sewer camera. We ask for a quote in writing and Mike G. told us that his word was he quote, and that he would stand by his quote, he would not be any more than the $4,500 if they did the work. So we accepted Mike G. verbal quote and asked when he could start. They were supposed to show up the following morning, and did not show up until about 11:00 (and that was because we called asking what had happened because no one had shown up). When they did show up they dug for approx. 45 min to an hour and left, no word to us as to why they were leaving or if they would be back (second red flag). They showed back up the following morning and discovered that the problem in the line was only about 30 ft away from the septic and only 4 foot of cement needed to be cut through. So I am thinking cool, the job is less than half of what they originally cost, so the cost should be less...Nope. When we ask Mike G. about the cost, he said no it would not be any cheaper, and that his boss (the owner of Daniel's Plumbing) was wanting him to charge us $5,200, but he had told him he had already quoted us $4,500 (we were paying cash so we were supposed to be getting a discount). Even if they did charge us $5,200, the job was half the size it was quoted, so should have been half the cost @ $2,600. I have called for three days trying to get the over-charge settled, and all that they wanted offer me was $500 back?! I told them that was unacceptable, as the job was half the size quoted. Mike G. should have never taken the full amount of the job, when the job was half the size it was quoted. And Daniel's Plumbing should have returned the overcharge/overpayment without me asking. I still have not gotten a phone call from the Owner. I have only been able to deal with Jodie (a very sweet lady in the office), but she claims that she was unable to get in touch with the Owner. We choose Daniel's Plumbing because on their web page says they are honest, and great plumbing at reasonable prices. I would have to strongly disagree. I gave then the chance to do the "honest" thing and return at minimum $1,000, I didn't think that was too much to ask for, since the job was half the size and they only had to cut through 4 ft of cement instead of the 20 ft quoted. They had to do half the digging and only replaced half of the amount of PVC originally quoted. We were willing to pay $3,500 for job that was performed. They work they did was good, my only compliant is that they knowingly took money they should not have taken, and so far seem un-willing to return what was over paid. I have requested that the owner come to my house and see the work that was quoted verses the work performed and explain to me why he was not willing to return 1/4 of the payment. read more

Where do I start? I called them earlier this week, after we saw them on the neighborhood app to fix a leaking shower, all they had to do is help me change the cartridge inside the cylinder because my neighbor didn't have the tool...( I don't know what the hell im doing so I got help from an awesome neighbor), anybody that knows about the job knows that the toughest part that takes the longest is opening everything... some guy showed up and looked at it and said after realizing that I didn't know what the hell im talking about that since he is there, it's a job that will cost me $325 ... WTH??!! I asked if that the best he can do and he said that he has $25 coupon.... hopeless as I am I said : well do it, less food for my new born I guess since I can't afford water running for more than it has been running 2 weeks already . I think when I said yes : he was like : what a dummy? Let me try to ask for more, goes back to the shower and within 30 seconds he says : oh yep thought it was easy, but there's more, we have to cut a hole and we will not replace or fix the faux-marble, or we will have to open up a hole in my backyard wall, but now you looking at $800.... WTF. At that point, I called my friendly neighbor who showed up and listened to the guy and he told me: " this has to be illegal, F... this s..., he is full of it, let's go to Moore plumbing supplies and get the part to open it and a cartridge and I'll fix it". I spent $70, it Took him 3 hours and now problem is fixed and saved $730. Hope your company feels good about making money taking advantage of people who don't know anything about plumbing , way to earn a living ... if they had 0 stars you would have gotten it. read more

He was very prompt and professional. They gave me a fantastic price! I will without a doubt use them from now on. My shower drain was clogged in my master bathroom and I called them but they would not give me a quote over the phone. I had seen their truck at my neighbor's house so I let him come out anyway. They charged me $460 to Roto-Rooter about 10 feet of drain. They had to remove the toilet which involves 2 bolts and the waterline. They charged $220 for Roto rooting and $240 for removing the toilet. The plumber that came out was a very nice young man and the entire job took about 35 minutes. This is the biggest rip-off I've ever had done to me in my life. I have learned a valuable lesson, if a contractor or service company will not give you a ballpark estimate over the phone then move along to someone else! read more

We called Daniels Plumbing after a co-workers recommendation to diagnose a leak on our toilet upstairs. They came, drilled a hole on our ceiling in the kitchen directly downstairs and found no problem and determined that the leak was from the base of the toilet. The description they put in the invoice is "Found glue joint was bad at toilet flange, replaced flange and reset toilet". For this work, they charged us $625!! My husband and I were not at the house when they came so my father-in-law thought he needed to pay which he did using his credit card. We found this to be unfair given that they worked on it for only an hour and a half and the cost of the materials is minimal. I called the office 4 times and I was only told the owner will be calling me back. The next day the owner called and told me he will talk with the technician and that the office will call me back to let me know the outcome. As expected, they never called me back so I called the following week, and they said they will credit us $150. After checking, they actually only put back $100 into our credit card. When asked why, they said they never told me they were going to credit me $150. This is a complete lie. They also told me it was their number 1 technician that came out which I think is irrelevant to the issue of them overcharging. Any good plumber will not charge $300 an hour to replace a toilet flange. We think this is an unfair charge for the amount of work performed and especially that they left us a hole in our ceiling that we now have to get fixed for another couple hundred dollars. It is unfortunate that we have to resort to other avenues to make their bad practice known simply because they were very hard to negotiate with. They are quick to respond when called for work but are definitely not easy to talk to (if you can even get to talk to the right person) after the work has been done and they have received payment. We feel we have been taken advantage of by Daniels Plumbing and because of this we will never go back to them nor will we be recommending them to anyone. read more

*WARNING* KEEP AWAY from this organization! I recently fell victim to Daniels Plumbing business ethics when one of there plumbers/drivers James Craig side swiped my vehicle on 2920 due to his recklessness. Daniels plumbing denied responsibility and fabricated a "witness" who of course I never saw or spoke to. I have two pictures of interest regarding this incident the first was taken 8 minutes prior to the collision when the company vehicle was traveling in excess of 80 MPH on FM 2920 and passing via the center turn lane. The second picture is immediately proceeding the collision, both are time stamped. This "company" obviously has no regard for the citizens in which they operate nor do they feel obliged to conduct themselves in an ethical manner. Based on other reviews I can only assume their already inflated pricing will increase after the ensuing attorney fees, court costs, and monetary settlement awarded me. Stay clear of Daniels Plumbing or it could cost you more than you could possibly foresee. read more
