We had a very similar experience with Danny & Sons Irrigation as one other user. We used him for a few years to service our sprinkler system. This year, one of his team members turned on the system and charged $175 for 45 minutes. I noticed water piling up after the sprinkler ran over the next few days and realized the guy didn't uncover an entire station. Sprinkler heads were still covered in dirt and grass. I called and asked him to fix it. He was unapologetic and told me it was because the station wasn't running on the first program -- we have multiple programs that run and an expert for sprinklers should know that. He came and fixed it the next day. A few days later, I noticed that another station he initially had fixed was again not running correctly as well as multiple other heads. I called and he said he would fix it when he has time. It's now 3 weeks. Never heard back from him. I'd be very cautious using this company again. He doesn't seem to know what he is doing. read more

I had Danny and Sons Irrigation and Landscaping for number of years for normal start on and winterize the sprinkler sytem. This year I had some patio work done and call him to fix the sprinklers and his price kept changing depending upon time and day. I agreed to pay whatever he was demanding and I paid while the work was going on but worst came after wards, one of the zone was not done properly and I brought to his crew attention and they mentioned they will fix it and they never fixed and next day the zone was flooded and now he refuses to fix it and want to charge more. read more

Warning: Get every detail in writing before agreeing to a project and look out for shoddy workmanship. I contacted Danny and Sons to get a proposal for a small project to install a PVC conduit under a sidewalk. During the consult, Daniel verbally communicated some requirements (to install 1.5" sized PVC). The written proposal was vague and simply said "sidewalk pipe" and I assumed (wrongly) that he was a man of his word and would remember. When the crew arrived to do the project, they only had 1" irrigation line on-hand. Daniel left to buy different sized PVC. He returned with 1.25" PVC, not 1.5" and installed it despite me mentioning and asking several times on-site why we were not using 1.5" as originally discussed. The work did not change. The crew finished installation and cut one end of the pipe too short, requiring a fix which they were unequipped to handle and they were in a rush to leave to get to another project. I asked Daniel if he would accommodate the shortcomings by lowering the price and he denied committing to 1.5" pipe or that any mistakes were made. He demanded to be paid in full citing no written proof he ever said 1.5" PVC would be installed. If you decide to work with this company, I wish you luck and I hope you are very detail oriented up front because the work you pay for will not likely be the work you receive. UPDATE 1 WEEK AFTER WORK: Since the work was not complete or correct and Daniel was not interested in doing anything to make it right, I moved ahead to finish the work. During that effort it was immediately clear that the Danny and Sons crew were unable to glue the PVC fittings on to the pipes. The whole underground assembly came apart as soon as the earth was disturbed. Stay away! read more

I had no issues with the company at first. Then years later they started slacking on keeping their appointments with me. The first was an appointment made for the end of May for my irrigation system. Called them and no one answered after the appointment was set. called a week after my appointment again to schedule. Talk to Danny son and we made a commitment for 6/12/24. They never showed and never called to reschedule. They take long to even send the paperwork to the city. At this point. I'm done and that's very unprofessional. Be careful when dealing with them because of the lack of communication and professionalism. Not a good way to treat your customers. I will report this on all platforms l can. read more

They we're working in 100 degree heat that day. I had them come back out & move some pipes around because I got a new driveway. They keep their appointments & do great work. Very fast and responsive, but you pay for it in the form of overpriced services that have questionable value. Danny did an irrigation blow out last fall that we thought went well, but was ultimately not successful as our pipes burst this spring. Thinking he would want to rectify his mistake, we had him come out again to replace the pipe. He was efficient and came right out....but at the cost of $400 (for a pipe that was probably under $50). Our mistake for assuming he would want to fix his mistake from the prior winter. read more

Danny's crew did not drain our system for the winter, as a result the pipes exploded with the cold weather. But ... we used his company again for this summer's irrigation for our container garden. Some of the hoses did not work. Danny never returned our phone calls. I advise against using this company. read more

I had a sprinkler system installed for my lawn in September, the install consisted of 5 watering zones, a back flow device and a sprinkler controller that automatically waters my lawn accordingly to the weather or preset options. Danny was very detailed and clear as far as what was included, the pricing and the time frame were good. I live on a corner lot so I have a lot of grass to water. Danny's team was very professional and courteous. I will definitely recommend this company for all your irrigation needs. My grass came back to life after a week of automatic watering. I hired Danny and Sons to repair a crooked brick retaining wall and regrade and level a brick sidewalk and steps. They were very responsive to my request for a quote and completed the job in the agreed upon time. I think they did a great job at a fair price. I wanted my downspouts to be buried as well as my sump pump discharge be diverted to the back of my property. I called several landscapers that did not return my call however, Danny promptly returned my call and set up an appointment for an estimate. He arrived on time, reviewed my request and gave me a quote onsite. I thought this guy is too good to be true and was a bit hesitant to give him the job but he seemed sincere and willing to meet all my requests. We agreed on a date for the work to be done. Danny and the crew arrived on time ready to get the job done and they truly did. All my expectations were met, they buried two front downspouts to the front of the yard and diverted my sump pump discharge to the back of my property, a job well done. Granted it was raining on and off today, but decent business practice is to at least call if you're not going to make an appointment.
