They did some brickwork in our backyard and though it looks really nice, they damaged our underground electrical line to the garage in the process, and it took 2 months and hiring a completely different crew to get it running again. I felt it was necessary to warn potential buyers that they didn't yet have the experience to know that this mistake could happen (which I'm sure they do now), and that they initially pushed the blame on us. When I pushed back, they agreed to fix it, but when things got too tough, they gave up and stopped responding. I'm writing this review to let everyone know that this company is absolutely the worst I've ever had to deal with. First off they came out the first week and cut the lawn, and proceeded to clean up my alley if leaves which would have been great if they did not blow everything in my back yard on to my children sitting at the patio table while they were eating lunch and into my pool. The next week they didn't even show up. This went on for two weeks. I called and got the runaround via text, the owner wouldn't even talk on the phone. Out of nine possible weeks to cut my grass they cut it five times. The final straw was the day before the Fourth of July, they came out and absolutely butchered my grass and cut my neighbors flowers. When she came out they swore at her and left. This company should not be in business. I give it zero stars. Beware, just an awful company and terribly rude owner. read more

Edit: Since Rudy wanted to call me and deny receiving my emails, I checked and they went through on 1/28 to which he responded he was working on pricing. He got back to me on 2/1 and apologized for the delay because they also do snow plowing and I even mentioned wanting to add to our request. That was our last correspondence. Rudy was very responsive for a while. Instead of coming out he asked for pictures - which is perfectly fine. I sent 2 very detailed emails with extensive pictures and descriptions of what we wanted. We corresponded back and forth for a week or two and he delayed providing a proposal due to being busy but then I never heard back from him. We found a great partner in STK Landscaping and are grateful. We have done an extensive amount of work around our single family property and we're fortunate in landing our business with a super partner. I reached out using Yelp quotes and Rudy was first to reply (few mins at most) and has gone out of his way to find options to help my parents even if he is fully booked. I wish I had read all the reviews. Did poor job on Initial service (one time), then just stopped showing up for service on my property altogether. Being a remote owner, I called to check in, and he asssured me the work was being done. When I went to view property it had not been mowed in at least a month. I got a notice from the city and almost got fined $500, had to pay A DIFFERENT company $200 to clean up because it was so unattended. I promptly told them I know longer wanted their services, and obviously wouldn't be paying for the weeks they DIDNT SHOW UP. This all would have been bad enough...but then I got a bill in the mail. I responded again, reminding him that they had not done any services, and i wouldn't be paying. I have since received 3 messages/bills, after I asked them to stop contacting me altogether. I can't tell if they are just extremely incompetent or actually bad people. Either way, STAY AWAY. My attorney is now involved, honestly the most ridiculous situation I've ever experienced. read more

I found the initial communication very prompt and the owner seemed very reliable. However, upon requesting documents and official proposals, the prompt communication stopped. We requested proof of insurance, and official proposal for a simple, recurring lawn care job for our condo association and were met with delay after delay, and excuse after excuse. I am giving them 2 stars because I cannot comment on the quality of their actual work since we decided not to proceed with signing a contract. We made a contract with Rudy for leaf and snow removal, instead of what he promised about 3 sessions of leaf removal his staff just showed up once when we were literally buried in leaves and their excuse for not showing up on the other scheduled days was: IT IS TOO COLD TODAY! They of course did not show up for snow removal the first time we had snow and their excuse this time: WE DID NOT EXPECT SUCH A WEATHER! Each time, they did not even bother to send a text or call to apologize, they just didn't show up as agreed and we had to reach out to Rudy each time. Seriously dude! We had a very difficult situation with several dozen "rose of sharon" stumps and other random little trees and bushes in varying states of health completely overwhelming our back yard. The previous owners left a bunch of rocks, bricks, and concrete pieces buried throughout, and we had a big mud pit where there had been cheap astroturf. Our lawn and flower beds were riddled with creeping charlie and other weeds and we had a huge ash tree dropping an avalanche of leaves everywhere. Needless to say, it was well beyond our capacity to address ourselves. We talked to four different landscapers to do a lawn "demolition" and address these other issues. Of course, no two of them recommended the same approach. Rudy presented what we felt was the best plan, with the clearest communication and the lowest price. We had a bit of scheduling trouble, but once they were here, Rudy and his crew tore through our lawn. They dug out all the stumps, trees, and bushes; laid down soil to fill holes and level depressed areas; sprayed for weeds and pulled up a ton of junk; put down sod over the mud pit and other ruined areas; spread seed to fill in other spotty areas; took up all the rocks, bricks, and concrete pieces and leveled a cement walkway; and did a full fall cleanup. They were quick and efficient, with strong attention to detail, and they did everything we asked. We still have a ton of work waiting for us in the spring, but we feel like we've made a lot of progress toward taking our lawn back. Thanks Rudy! read more
