This is a difficult review to write because we really wanted to give Danny a great rating for remodeling our rental unit. But the fact is he walked off the job before it was done, and this was after he blew up at us about a flooring question we had. Not only was this disappointing, but very unprofessional. This put us in a very tight spot to find people to complete the job before our tenants moved in 2 days later. The work was okay up until the very end when you need a seasoned professional to complete the job (install baseboard trim, caulk bathroom sinks, install lighting fixtures, see the attached photos for reference). It seemed to us that Danny took on a lot more than he was prepared for and when we were in the home stretch, he just quit. Danny might be a good handyman for small, short-term household fixes. But if you're looking to do anything larger than that, you'll want to find a true professional who stands by their work and is committed to the very end of the project. read more

There were several projects around the house that needed to be taken care of, but we did not have time to get ahold of a mechanic for some electrical work or a carpenter for some wood. It was very convenient to have everything done around the house! Our garage door switch within the house was broken and he was able to easily rewire everything to make within a few minutes. Then we had a job for in the backyard where our patio shade was dilapidated and molded after being exposed to rain/sun damage for the past 25+ years. We did not plan on fixing it that same day, but since it was such an eye soar and the garage door fix was so fast we were intrigued. Danny said he could get it done within a couple hours after getting the proper material and for not much more -- we thought MIGHT AS WELL! Like he said Danny said he got out patio shade fixed within a couple hours. He sanded down the frame to level it out, went to the hardware store, got everything cut within our backyard, & cleaned up everything within a couple hours. Overall, Danny was very efficient, reasonable in price, and fast. We were very happy with his work and we'll definitely hire him again for more work around our old house. read more

Danny is an very talented and able professional. Danny rescued me from a nightmare situation. Before hiring him I had a terrible contractor situation that required me firing the previous contractor. Danny came in and helped finish the job as well as fixed multiple issues the previous contractor had caused/miss planned. I hired Danny because I had some projects around the apartment that I had tried and failed at. Additionally I thought his prices were much more reasonable than other handyman companies that I had looked up. I didn't have to commit to a whole half day's worth of work or spend hundreds of dollars. His hourly rate is perfect for a poor student like me who just wants a relaxing, functional home. Danny was efficient and very capable at putting some Ikea shelves into the walls and a shelf into my closet. He also put up some Ikea blinds for me and was able to handle the very weird configuration of my windows. He helped me take down my through the wall AC, pack it and bring it from my third floor apartment all the way down to the first floor for FedEx to pick it up, all by himself. He was a really nice guy, responsive and came quickly. However, when putting up fixtures for curtain rods he forgot to attach one of the screws (to be fair when I texted him he came back). That rod and the fixtures are all pulling out the wall now (a couple weeks) and I only have sheers on the rod - not even anything heavy. He didn't replace all the old fixtures with new - when he did, there was a long screw and he damaged the wall which had just been painted. I get that it might have not been possible to do anything else, but I could have done it badly myself for free and he should have told me first that that was going to be the outcome. I have to get my painter in now to do a touch up. This was a super simple task and I am surprised at all the good reviews. I asked him to have a look at a ceiling fan that was squeaking a bit - he took it apart and couldn't find the problem (that is fair enough and he said he might not be able to from the beginning) but now it has extra problems - the original squeaking and now also a clicking sound and a wobble. read more
