WOW - Danny Quijano is absolutely AMAZING!!!! I got married on October 25, 2009 at Seascape Resort in Aptos, Ca and Danny was our photographer. I am still in shock that I was able to get him booked, but if you can grab him, GET HIM. He makes you feel SO comfortable (he's Hawaiian so he's totally chill) and the pictures are amazing, I'll attach my favorite picture if I can figure out how to attach a picture on yelp, although all of the pictures he took (and he took a TON) were stunning. His prices are reasonable, especially for the quality of his pictures, his perosnality, and his experience in the business. You will not regret him if you can book him, BOOK HIM!!! Don't look any further - book him! Danny and Sue are true professionals. As others have mentioned, Danny is very laid back and just plain happy. You can't help but smile when he is behind the camera. I got the feeling during my wedding that it wasn't a job for him, but that he really enjoyed capturing the many special moments and that he is a natural at what he does. When he says in initial interviews that he won't be obvious or in the way, he means it! So far out of the few hundred pictures friends and family have shared with us, you rarely see him. We had a smaller wedding, so he had even less guests to "blend-in" with...excellent job. Danny knows his stuff and is able to listen and "get to know" important family dynamics. He and Sue also made sure to check-off the "must take" photo list I gave them. And they were able to finish all major group pictures before cocktail hour so we could relax and enjoy our guests (as he gracefully captured candid pics). We met Danny while he was the photographer for my girlfriends wedding. I knew after watching him work that we had to have him for ours. We got married on June 24th at 6pm. The ceremony and reception were both outdoors. He staged our first look, our group pictures, worked with any and all changes that we made or added. I have nothing but excellent things to say about Danny and Sue. I generally have very high expectations, and I can honestly say that they exceeded my expectations in every aspect. My husband and I first heard about Danny's photography business when we began planning our wedding at Chaminade Resort in Santa Cruz. The wedding planner at the resort highly recommended Danny and after looking at his website, along with many other photographers, we scheduled a meeting. He wasn't the cheapest wedding photographer, but that's not we were after. We wanted quality, and a sense of simplicity that meshed with our understated personalities aka natural wedding photos without gleam or gimmick. As soon as we met with Danny, we knew he was the one. From the moment we parked our car in front of his house/studio and he stuck his head out the window, flashed a genuine smile and yelled welcome, I felt comfortable with him. Danny's introduction and explanation of the process was thorough, and he never made us feel overwhelmed. The entire process of selecting our services, and scheduling the services was seamless. And on the day of our wedding - he and Sue were perfect. They captured every important moment which is all I could ask for. What was above and beyond was how they carried themselves throughout the entire day. Both Sue and Danny - but especially Danny - have an energy about them that brought so much positivity to the situation. Throughout the day, the wedding was often behind schedule but they remained flexible and always smiling. Their attitude and calm head allowed us to still capture all the important photos. Danny photographed my wedding at The Sesnon House, and I highly recommend him. He is so easy to work with, and he gets all the shots without being intrusive. My family and guests loved him too, because he was very efficient in getting all our family group pictures.
