I never feel in jeopardy but get a good workout while feeling safe and respected. I also enjoy the classes with women of various ages. We have fun but get great training. It was a great open mat, I wish I was able to stay longer. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, the level of Jiu jitsu is very high at this academy. Got beat up a bunch and enjoyed the learning experiences. Thank you to Michael for beating me up but also taking the time to teach me as well - inside camping lesson both during the round and after. There aren't many academies that have a master walking around and mingling with their students. I was so lucky to be able to talk with master Machado and take a pic with him. He has improved so quickly under the teacher here it's amazing to me. Our son has also asked us to up the days that he goes each week because he enjoys it so much. This is thrilling for me because we homeschool and he's typically a pretty shy kid. This school has really helped him come out of his shell. We love the school and love the teaching! My husband has been doing Jiu Jitsu for a while now but since we've moved to this school he's really fallen back in love with it. He's expressed to me his excitement of going and he loves all of the "extra sauce" professor Tony gives with every move. He loved it so much he convinced me to give Jiu Jitsu another shot. I know that's a bold statement, but it's the truth. The coaches at 3:16 are top-notch BJJ fighters with a wealth of knowledge. But here's what really sets them apart: they know how to teach. I've known a lot of people who are great at something, but they struggle to transfer that skill to others. That's not the case here. The team at 3:16 teaches through critical, rigorous training, all wrapped in genuine love and compassion. I've watched my boys grow--not just in skill, but in character. They're learning high-level jiu-jitsu, competing at a high level, and becoming better young men in the process. Because of that, at 43 years old, I decided to join 3:16 myself. So this part is for the men. Life, family, and business bring a lot of stress. I've turned to different things over the years to cope, but nothing helped quite like this. When you're on the mat, nothing else exists. You step into a mental space where the world's stresses melt away. It's the healthiest escape I've ever found. I highly recommend 3:16 to any man looking for a meaningful, effective way to deal with stress, anxiety, and fatigue. I wrestled in the past and I tried many Jujitsu establishments before I found this one. The coaches make the classes engaging and they break down the moves, so anyone at any skill level would be able to understand. Every training partner is friendly and welcoming. This place breeds positivity. Aloisio Silva also participated in tournaments/completion which gives you the option to scratch that competitive itch without making it mandatory for the students. My daughter isn't old enough to participate in the kids courses, but I often will see the kids Bjj classes end before the adult ones begin. It looks like a safe and fun environment. I will be enrolling my little one when she's grown some. If you're looking for a place to train I would highly recommend coming here!

Coach Eric's instructions are very broken down and easy to follow. I never felt that he's pressured anyone or made anyone feel incapable. He actually has a very opposite effect and makes you feel like you can learn it all with time and practice. I'm glad my wife found this place. My daughter has improved a lot during her time here. She's just competed in the NAGA novice tournament and brought home first place in no-GI and second in GI. Really proud of her and the coaches for teaching her so well.
