Initially our rating would have been 5 stars. We were given Danny's information from a neighbor. We recently built our house and used Danny's to install our patio and lawn in the front and back. Our patio was beautiful and our sod in the front was great. We had the back seeded with the promise that Danny's would come and put extra seed down in any bare spots that didn't take. Danny's also gave us a three year guarantee on our brick patio. All this work was done in October of 2016. In April of 2017, 6 months later, all edges of the patio had began cracking and pulling apart. They also built a step going into the house which has fallen apart on both sides and came loose in the middle. It was so loose, if you stepped on it the brick would pop up. I started calling trying to resolve these issues in mid April 2017. They finally came out in the beginning of June to look at it. They spoke with my wife and said that since it was not a safety hazard, they would come back later to repair the patio/step and reseed the bare spots. Never gave a date or time when this would happen. I had Carlos' cell phone number, but at this point it had been disconnected so the only way I could get in contact with them is to call the "office" line. The office is someone's house. It is virtually impossible to get in contact with them. After several messages on the office voice mail, Carlos called me back and came out to look at the issues. This was the final week of June. He said that they would be in the area during the July 4th week to do any repairs. He gave me his new phone number. Well, the week on July 4th went by. So did the next week, and the next week and the next week. I have sent many text messages, left many voice mails to all the numbers that I have. They have not returned any of my messages. My wife called over a week ago, multiple times, to all the phone numbers we have as well. No call back. No one showing up to fix the issues. Now we are stuck with a patio and step that are falling apart with absolutely no way to get in contact with them. We are just about 5 months in with trying to get our repairs taken care of. 5 months!! I don't know of any customer service industry where this is acceptable. When we were new business and new money, Danny's treated us like royalty. After they got our money, we are basically outcasts to them. This company needs to be reported to the village and need to be shut down!!!! They should not be able to service no one in Frankfort. They Get your money, they do CRAPPY WORK!!! They won't come back to fix any issues they messed up! We had weeds coming from under the paper bed like crazy! They used cheap weed paper, cheap mulch, flowers I didn't ask for, the stone bed they built is coming down and the tree is leaning. Also the sod he put down wasn't put close together we had to seed the yard to fill in it was a mess. Carlos, Danny, who ever the owner is make false promises never come to see his flaws so know he don't stand behind his work. If he do a small job he probably do better, but larger jobs( Hack No!!!) They came back one time to fault each other but didn't return. Saw him in the Frankfort Meadows sub division stop the car to tell him he needs to come to the house so we can show him some things. Never showed up. They get your money, they don't stand behind their work. Danny landscaping in my opinion from my experience, are just some drive by so called landscapers. Carlos promised us a berm in the corner of the yard. We arrived home to see it awkwardly in the middle of the backyard. He said it could not go in the back and admitted that his guys should have checked with him and us before moving forward. He promised to make it right and shook my hand. 6 weeks later he still is not answering calls. I paid $800 for an eye sore. DO NOT trust this place. read more

THE BEST. After a dozen quotes and a serious delay in response from local landscapers, my husband and I were referred to Danny's by our neighbors. Danny's was quick with a quote and were below average in pricing. They came out quickly and did sod on our parkway and some pretty fancy front and side landscaping. Our retaining wall is gorgeous and they did EXACTLY what I wanted with my bushes and flowers, and let's just say picky is an understatement when it comes to my taste. I am so impressed by the quick and beautiful service. The guys were such hard workers and super friendly. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for any kind of landscaping needs! Danny is brilliant ! What a lovely guy, we used him a few months ago as my husband saw him finsihing off some lawn nearby- to have sod laid in our back yard. He did a wonderful job and then we ruined it -long story- he just returned to redo it and it looks amazing. Terrible company. Never shows up when they say they will. All new plants died within 3 months. Never answers phone or calls back when you leave a message... Carlos is a huge liar. BEWARE: do not use them. My parents gave Carlos 2000 as a down payment and promised many times he would come over and pick out the plants needed. He never showed when he said he would. My parents had to go to the address listed as the business address, guess it is his in-laws. The lady assured them they would get their money back. We needed a new front walkway and a seating, walkway area in the back yard. The property is over 100 years old and presented some unique and unforseen challenges such as routing around a large tree, extensive route systems, small area to work and unusual structures below ground. The estimate was very reasonable. Suggestions were made as to how best to achieve our "vision" and they were right on target. The workers were congenial and worked harder than any crew I've ever seen. The work was meticulous, in some areas hand crafted and the end result was perfect. Danny's landscaping recently did our backyard patio and did an excellent job!!! We received several estimates and they were by far the best. Jose was extremely professional and did an excellent job on our patio!! I was so impressed with how hard they worked and how efficiently they managed their time. We even recommended several of our friends use Danny's for their patios. The 2 star review goes towards the side landscaping business ran by Carlos. After seeing what an excellent job they did on our patio in April, Carlos approached my husband and I about a side lawn care business he runs and a "spring clean" special he was offering. We immediately said sign us up for both the spring clean up and weekly lawn service after seeing what wonderful work they did on our patio. We went ahead and paid for the patio, a few weeks went by with no lawn care or spring clean up. We tried to reach out to Carlos whose cell phone had been disconnected. We then reached out to Danny's and left several voicemails. Someone called us back saying there was no record of our lawn care/spring clean up and Carlos was out of the country for 2 weeks. We waited the 2 weeks and called back again. When finally getting a hold of Carlos (6 weeks later) he was very unprofessional. He did not apologize but instead became very defensive on how busy he was. He asked for our business which we agreed to on the spot because of the work we had witnessed Danny's apply to jobs. Carlos then said he would come that Sunday to do the "Spring Clean" up. Sunday came and went with no contact from Carlos. We reached out again he said he was sorry he forgot and that he would come Tuesday. Tuesday came and went with no spring clean up/lawn care. We reached out again and he said Thursday he would come. Thursday came and went with no spring clean up or contact from Carlos. We reached out yet again to both Carlos and Danny's landscaping with several phone calls and texts but have yet to receive a response. It is now 2 1/2 months later and we did not receive the service we agreed upon and have not even received a phone call back. I am very disappointed in the professionalism of Carlos and Danny's landscaping. We understand lawn care/spring clean up does not bring in as much profit as patios but we were approached about the service to which we agreed to. If you were too busy to carry out the task a simple phone call would have been respectful so we could take our business elsewhere.
