I don't like ribs, I never have. Now with that being said...my son loves Dan's ribs. He orders them without the sauce, and devours every one! We have tried many other places: Texas Roadhouse, Outback, and Chili's. As far as the other places for ribs, they do not compare to Dan's, at least in my son's opinion. I like the mac 'n cheese at Dan's. It has bacon on top and it usually has a bit of a kick to the sauce. Last night we tried the double trouble burger for the first time. After a day of travel, then a workout - I was starving! This place was close, so I gave it a go! I asked Dan what he suggested - he told me best sellers, and also his favorites... I decided on a sample plate with three meats and a couple sides to go... Brisket, Chicken, and Tri Tip for the meats - Mac and Cheese, coleslaw, and I added some garlic fries... the Mac and Cheese was really good - but I wished I had a little salt and pepper for it, it needed just a smidge of something - but good. I didn't care for the coleslaw, it had a very citrus hint to it - and I just couldn't get on board with it, it wasn't bad - just not my taste. The garlic fries were shoestring type, and also not my favorite. They were really crispy and dry - and not very garlicy... the ranch had great flavor, but I'd like it a tiny bit thicker. Now to the meats... they were all super delicious! Cooked well, flavorful - YUM! And there were decent portions too! The meal came with some Texas toast that was good, and one small bbq sauce (2 would have been nice) If I find myself in the area again - I will for sure come back! Love the food, hate the location. First the food- hot, fresh, delicious. Recommend the ribs, tri tip, pulled pork and mac and cheese. Mashed potatoes were just ok. Garlic bread is tasty. The location- just terrible. The dingy, dirty strip mall has terrible parking and is full of transients. We couldn't eat inside because of Covid but that might help with the location/atmosphere. 4.5 stars for food, 1 star for location. read more

First time here and the place smelled amazing but the food was average at best. The combo with an extra side of meat was 17 bucks. Somewhat disappointed with the around of tri tip but I will not go back because the ribs were cold to the touch. There were 5 pieces and two were inedible because of how cold they were. The other three pieces were warm at best. I told the receptionist but she just smiled and said oh ok. Maybe she didn't hear what I was saying. But serving cold food like that shouldn't happen. Dan and his family always comes through. On our last visit we had burgers. The DUBB, OMG, & Mexicali. The burgers were cooked to order (as always) and tasted fresh and perfectly cooked. Most times when a burger has jalapeños (like the Mexicali) they are usually just raw chopped up jalapeños (not at Dan's). Dan's roasts their jalapeños which adds so much depth to the flavor of that burger. We all had steak fries which were really good. We can always count on great service at Dan's BBQ, always super friendly. We took our meal to go. Personally it feels like during the summer the dinning area is uncomfortably hot. That's the only thing I would say could use improvement. Besides that little detail I will continue to visit Dan's when I'm in the mood for some good food. read more

From first look out side it doesn't look like much. Once Inside the smell of BBQ slaps you in the face and grabs you by the nose , like something out of a cartoon. I chose tri-tip, ribs and pulled pork. Comes with two slices of Texas type toast and two sides. For my sides I chose garlic fries and chili beans. Ribs....3 Tri-tip.....4 Pulled pork....4 Texans type toast....4 chili beans....3 Garlic fries....4 The fries were fresh, hot and good. The chili beans were warm and needed more flavor i.e. spiciness. Ribs were OK but not hot. Tri-tip and pulled pork was sliced thin and was good. The Texas toast would benefit for a few minutes of browning on the grill. After hearing great reviews in person and on Yelp, my wife & I decided to try Dan's tonight. I first tried calling but after several times "circuit busy" from my house phone, I drove over and placed the order. Just as I imagined they were packed, so calling ahead would have been perfect. So I ended up waiting for about 25 minutes for my order Togo. We ordered the 3 way combo (pulled pork, Tri-too & linguisa), 1/2 slab of ribs, home style beans, steak fries & cole slaw. It came with toast, pickles & onion slices. I gave the 2 stars for the fries, cole slaw & toast. Everything else was so-so. Tri-tip had no flavor, barely can taste smoke. Pulled pork, was ok, linguisa was burnt and although the ribs were tender and had a taste of smoke they were not bad. You definitely have to ask for extra BBQ sauce, they hardly put any on, so unfortunately I can not review the sauce. We ordered three burgers because we kept hearing about how great they were and were very underwhelmed on top of the fact that the portions were small. One of the burgers was made completely wrong so I had to go back to have it remade I called on the phone still had to wait 15 minutes after I got there when it was their mistake and they were rude about it. It was as if I imposed upon them for them having to do it right. while everybody else's food got cold they didn't even offer to remake my fries that went along with my burger so that I could eat them at the same time and then both be fresh. Could've just save myself time and money by going to McDonald's would've been half the price and pretty comparable on the scale of quality. read more
