Our waiter Kyle was on point, introduced himself and dropped the special of the day with gusto. If I hadn't already had a ton of carbs for the day I would have gone with it. Ended up ordering the scallops, and fried zucchini appetizers. Scallops are served almost like a soup. The sauce in the bowl was to die for. I'm thinking white wine, and lemon were the major components. It was phenomenal. Fried zucchini was super tasty and is coming home with us. I'd swear it was enough to feed 4 people. For mains, we ordered pot roast and fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Wife loved the pasta and chicken. Surprisingly enough she ate it all, none to go which is super rare for her. Pot roast was fantastic. Mashed potatoes were on point, the mixed vegetables were amazing. Gabby looked at me and rolled her eyes and said loudly "whatever I guess" and scoffed. The lady behind the bar apologized for her. I got my drink and left the area. My group ordered 3 family meals and it came out wrong and we politely mentioned to gabby, we'll gabby immediately got defensive and said "so what, what do you want me to do about it". The owner came out and apologized and offered to fix it. Never were we upset or blamed anyone, we just asked for it to be fixed. Overall gabby was so rude and not welcoming. We wont be coming back.

My boyfriend and I have been to Standard Pub several times during the day, and every visit has been fantastic. We've enjoyed the food, drinks, and even had the pleasure of speaking with the owner on multiple occasions. The service was always welcoming, and the food was consistently phenomenal. Because of those great experiences, we decided to bring some friends on a Saturday night. We arrived around 7:30 PM, and the atmosphere looked promising. There appeared to be a DJ setting up, and the crowd seemed excited for a night of music, food, and drinks. Unfortunately, our experience that evening was completely different from what we had come to expect. We ordered food and drinks, and while our server wasn't outright rude, he seemed uninterested in providing the level of service we had previously received. As the night went on, things became increasingly odd. Shortly after ordering another round of drinks, while our drinks were still full and we had just received them, the server approached our table and asked if we were finished. My boyfriend jokingly responded, "No, let me talk to your manager," and laughed, assuming the server was joking as well. The server responded, "Yeah, it's my brother," but with an attitude that left everyone at our table looking at each other wondering what had just happened. He then informed us that we needed to put a credit card on file. At that point, we had already been there for over an hour, and it seemed strange that this requirement was only being brought up then. We also noticed that no other tables around us were being asked for a card. The most disappointing part came when we received the bill. There was an additional $60 service charge added--$35 on my friends' bill and $25 on ours. Confused, we asked for an explanation. The explanations we received kept changing. First, we were told it was because my boyfriend was sitting with another group, which was completely false. Then we were told it was because the bill exceeded $100. After that, we were told it was because there were more than six people in our party, despite there only being four of us. The inconsistent explanations were frustrating and made it feel as though the staff were simply making up reasons to justify the charge. Our issue wasn't necessarily with a service fee itself--it was the lack of disclosure and the conflicting stories we were given when we asked about it. To make matters worse, the receipt also included a separate line for an additional tip. After discussing it with them and explaining that additional charges should be clearly communicated to customers, the service charge was ultimately removed. This review is not a reflection of the food, which remains excellent, nor of our previous experiences at Standard Pub. It is solely based on the service and handling of the situation during our Saturday night visit. We left feeling disappointed and confused, especially because this establishment had earned our trust through many positive visits in the past. I sincerely hope this was an isolated incident and that management addresses these issues so other customers don't have a similar experience

Such a shame because it is only 5-minutes from my house. My dad ordered the chicken fried steak and my mom got the taco salad and both of their meals were inedible too. The food here is just BAD. I told the server I didn't like my food and he didn't even answer me. He took away three plates of uneaten food and no one asked if there was an issue and no manager bothered to come over to even talk to us or try and make it right. What a HUGE waste of money. Don't bother eating here...so many other places to eat that are so much better. This place was packed and no real waiting area...everyone just squished together. He didn't like the potato salad (but ate it all with little time spared). He liked the meat in the sandwich, giving it a 5 out of 5. He liked the service less (I felt it was on point and just fine.) When we got to the table, we noticed there were only two plates for our party of three. We asked for an additional plate, he said he would bring one, but then never came back. There was a group of four young men (around the server's age) who kept ordering rounds of beer sitting at the table next to us. The server kept only going back to that table and helping them out. He would look directly at our table, and then go back to chat with the one next to us. When we were finally able to flag him down for drink and bread refills, he walked away and brought us neither. When he came back to our section, he went straight back to that other table. We asked him a second time for the refills and he acted like we had never received the request in the first place. He also never cleared our table. Usually, when the main dishes came out, the server would take the small plates and remove empty cups and bread baskets. We were left with the empty trays and plates which made our table feel super crowded and dirty. Despite this really annoying service, the food was really good. The kitchen never misses here. I ordered the beef tips, loaded mashed potatoes, and a Caesar salad. The meat was super tender and everything was very flavorful. This evening it was bustling and crowded as usual.
