Went to Dan's for a transmission flush. Was told my transmission pan was leaking and needed a new pan. I never saw any leaks but said OK fix it. A week later I got my car back for an additional $300. Fast forward several months. Now my car is leaking.... I brought it to the dealer and they asked if I'd had my transmission serviced recently. I said yes, and they said it's leaking from the crush washer and it all needs to be replaced again. I should send the bill to Dan's complete disaster for payment... read more

This place is a joke the front office looses keys and does not do payroll right fails to pay employees they left a 16year old kid as the only tech In shop and he clams all techs are ase certified the techs he has now are in the back smoking pot almost all of the time he lies to the customers saying they need stuff when they don't he under pays his whole staff I would not recommend this place read more

They were not fast or communicative on the first repair I had done there. That repair seems to have gone well. The second time I brought my vehicle there it sat for 6 weeks without any numbers about what it would cost to repair. I had to call them to check in constantly with no call back. I eventually picked my vehicle up with no repairs done. This may be a quality shop if you can get the owner to care about customer service. I would never go back here. read more

They rebuilt my hummer h3 motor and within the first week I had problems. It runs worse now than it did before the rebuild and when I called he didn't want to talk to me about my concerns and demanded I remove the message I sent that posted on his website or wherever it was viewed by the public. Serious knocking noise and compression is shit, having to downshift to keep it at a steady speed cause the compression is shit. Over 100 codes pop up and check engine light came on within the first week. It was thousands of dollars for the work they did and he wouldn't even look at his own work. Less than 4000 miles on the rebuild and I can't trust driving it hardly ever. I live 3 hours away from the shop and I told him to send a flatbed to pick it up cause I can't get stuck down at the shop if I drove it to him and laughed when I asked about a loaner car I could drive while they fixed the problem..I agreed to drive to him but needed to be able to get back home. I thought I was being courteous by even considering bringing it to him. He never returned my phone calls and didn't do anything to warranty his work. Horrible place! read more

Complete waste of time. Customers have brought in their vehicles for repair and are getting charged a "surcharge" which is basically looking over the vehicle while getting work done. Dans is so unorganized can't find keys or work orders half the time and failed to pay employees. The fact that one had to call the department of labor is sad. Would NOT RECOMMEND this business. read more

The guys at Dan's are top notch. I have a cobra replica that I spent the last five years building that I have had Dan do work on. He did an awesome job setting up the suspension and alignment. I arm wrestled the car to his shop and drove away in a car that handled unbelievably well. I also had him do some tuning work on my engine. My experience with Dan and Andy has always been positive. They have always demonstrated honesty and integrity in everything that they have done and have always looked out for my best interests. As a small business owner myself, I appreciate Dan and Andy's attention to always taking care of the customer. This kind of customer service seems to be lacking in the world today but you will find it at Dan's Complete Auto. read more

These people are cons! I used to drive for Rise and they sent their vans/buses here for repairs and oil changes. What galled me is a 20 minute oil change would take an hour. Not only that, but they know Rise pays me for the length of time I spend there. So as usual, I spent the hour waiting, Then they told me to mark down less time on my time card. This of course would screw me out of some paid time. I was pissed and put down an hour on my time card anyway. THEY are NOT my employer and had NO right to do that! Meanwhile, Rise habitually pays them to waste time and clown around! I only have 4 letter words to describe theses crooks! read more

I discovered Dan's Complete Automotive by word-of-mouth about six years ago and I swear by these folks. My van is a 2003 Ford Windstar, and these mechanics and their front office staff have kept it safely repaired, and up to date with maintenance things like oil changes and new wiper blades. One time I called about when a good time was for me to come in and get my headlights replaced since they'd both died on me within hours of each other. You know what I was told? "You come in ANYTIME! That is a safety thing and we don't want anything to happen to you with that." I arrived ten minutes later, and was back on the road fifteen minutes afterwards with new headlights. They never try to upsell you when your vehicle doesn't need things yet - in fact, they kept telling me it wasn't quite time for new brake pads when I queried if I needed them, or that it wasn't yet time for a tune-up when I worried if I was overdue for one. They absolutely gave me a heads up on time frame for those necessary things though each time I'd come in and they did their inspections. I love that the staff always educates me, and whenever possible, shows me what's being replaced and how it's impacted the running of the vehicle. I may not be mechanically inclined, but I can tell when my air filter is dirty, what the build-up on a spark plug looks like, and know what it sounds like when my transmission isn't shifting properly. Also, as a womann let me be very clear in saying that I have never felt talked down to, or in any way patronized by anyone in this establishment. Their estimator and front office person - essentially the office manager - Kathy, is AMAZING. She's been within a nickel of the actual cost - and by that, I mean that it was five cents less than she estimated. Dan and all the mechanics that I have been privileged to work on my vehicle are knowledgeable, personable, and skillful folks. Some have been there for more than a decade or close to it, if I recall correctly. Overall, I recommend Dan's Complete Automotive for anyone who has a vehicle they want to keep around for a long time. I recommend Dan's Complete Automotive for any mechanical or bodywork, but especially for older classic car work. They're very knowledgable on high performance, or any other kind of older vehicles. I've had Dan's perform lot's of work on my 1966 Ford Galaxie 500, from exhaust work, carburetor replacement, suspension upgrades, transmission work, etc. They're especially handy with older Ford products, from small and big block engines of the 50's, 60's, 70's on up. A friend has been bringing his Olds 442 resto to them for some time and recently had considerable fiberglass hood damage due to a deer hit. The finished work and paint matching and finish were impressive, especially on a difficult repair job as this one must have been. Nice guys and nice work. read more

Do not go here. My first visit I had been given an estimate for my clutch replacement, which was $1300. I asked Dan if that included parts and labor. He told me "yes." He had calculated all the factors in front of me. He told me the replacement was around $700, parts were around $300, and the labor was around $350. My first thought was "that's a little cheap, I expected around $2000-$2500 total." When I went to pick up my vehicle, the bill came close to $3000. I asked him where the rest of the charge came from. I asked about what had happened to the $1300. He told me the $1300 was for the labor itself. The extra charge was for the parts and other things they had worked on. They had changed the master cylinder and slave cylinder without my approval. They had operated on my AC and charged me for that as well. Again, I did not approve of this. I was more upset to the fact that he was not honest with me upfront. I do not recommend this place. Save your wallet and save yourself the headache. read more

I called up to dans and needed some service done on my old school car wanted them to take a look because someone recommended them to me, also wanted to discuss options on getting me other classic car together it needs body work. After telling the guy both make and models and years of my cars Guy on the phone told me they don't do just bodywork that it would be a project his exact words and yes they can also service my other car and we can talk about it more. He said wouldn't be able to get you in till later in the week if that works for me and I said yes he took my name down but didn't tell me a time, before hanging up I said hey you haven't told what time to come up there, he then tells me o the time doesn't matter just stop by and we'll will take a look and talk no worries open at 8am close at 6pm. I'm thinking project means like full body and paint...So needless to say I ran my errands on that day and headed to dans which is a 40min drive in a old school car. When I arrived I go in to talk to who ever is at the front desk. Being that he said stop by whenever I got there around 1 almost 2 because of the drive I had and they close at 6pm so I figured that was reasonable time to get the car looked at and discuss work on my other car. The guy at the front desk tells me o I'm sorry we don't due bodywork and paint we do frame off restorations only on 60s and 70s... I'm like ok I guess I misunderstood whoever I talked to on the phone but why would he tell me to come in anyways and I told him the cars I needed work on he didn't say they don't do that?? I could see that they didn't want to waste there time with me because the next thing he says is and I cannot look at your car everyone went home already. So Im standing there after driving 40mins and your telling me your not even going to look at my car and everyone went home but you close at 6pm??? Hmm again he's says well im sorry well sorry doesn't pay for my gas sorry doesn't pay for my time sorry doesn't pay for the miles I just put on a classic car to drive here. I understand the whole only doing full restorations but whoever I talked to could've easily said that on the phone and to not even look at my car for the service is complete bs I didn't expect them to fix anything just take a look, it makes no sense that there's no workers there if they close at 6pm not only that I drove around to the back and seen guys back there working so what does that tell ya also I seen a 5.0 mustang and my car is from the same era? With other new cars all around the place. These people lied dead to my face and told me well sorry that is the worst business practice I've ever seen. As a business you should take pride in your business and keep your word not waste peoples time like that, its unexceptable very disappointing experience and they don't care because they make money off of others just understand that your dealing with people that have no problem telling you lies and wasting your time!!! I have been going there since 1986 when they fixed my first problem in about 1 minute and charged nothing. They really know how to do a lot of things correctly and never try to up-sell you anything. They readily show damaged parts and give good advice on maintaining your car. They will work on any car from 1929 on and do a lot of classic car maintenance. I have never been disappointed in anything they have done in all the years I have been using them. I only go to a dealer for warranty work and even then, am often disappointed. I am using Toyota vehicles and they know how to repair them, too. I recently had my rear bumper on my 2006 mini-van repaired there and it's perfect. They monitor my tire and brake wear and let me know when it is getting close to replace them, along with replacing drive belts, etc. read more

I took my 1988 Anniversary Corvette to Dan's for an oil change and checkup on the recommendation of a parts supplier. During the oil change the upper left corner of the hood get nicked by a ceiling fan resulting in a small chip down to the fiberglass. To their credit they acknowledged the error and offered to fix it since they have an on-site paint shop and have supposedly have considerable experience in painting collector cars. I accepted their offer which turned out to be a mistake. After having the car for about a week they had repainted the chip but now the paint had a run by the emblem on the fender. After about another week that was repaired but now I had a chip in the paint by the front hood emblem. On my third trip back despite my misgivings I assumed they would fix this chip. By the next day they had, without my permission, painted my entire front of the car. The hood now does not look, in my opinion, like factory paint. So now I have a car that's likely decreased in value. I have no intention of ever doing business with them again and I can't recommend to anyone to ever do business with them. read more
