Beware, Customers be careful as I found that this beautiful clean friendly shop that promised to do…read morethe right job, charged over 2/3's the National suggested cost of the job for a 2005 Ford Explorer needing a Rear Wheel Bearing. To start, they refused to list a complete parts list to justify their $908 in parts, when Ford OEM was $350, we were merely told we weren't comparing the same products (but then why not tell me what products you purchased). "The Invoice didn't allow for such an entity", but it did have room for 18 NECESSARY suggestions of repair and 17 additional minor needs; items like car needs an oil change, hello a brand new Oil change was done 600 miles ago, or to clean my battery terminals or to replace the rear dried wiper, the thread depth in brand new tires, etc.... listed way down on page 2, Rear wheel bearing $1500 THATS WHAT ITS THERE FOR. I asked, what are your Labor Fees? Well this job called for what I had to calculate to the nice bookkeeper on the phone who couldn't or refused do the math, as I explained it to her three times, anyway it was $207+ labor per hour fee. Mercedes Benz, BMW, Audi doesn't charge that much in central Ohio no less NY. The calculation of hours was also interesting, how do you configured 2.01 hours? What is that 2 hours and 2 or 3 minutes, point is added FLUFF to support and confuse the customer. Murphy's took advantage of a out of state customer who's sons go to the local University. (ironically I'd like to say this is my first review of service of any kind, due to the fact I feel People need to earn a living and deserve a second chance, but not this place). The job was done its fixed, its not as difficult repair. Nationally said to take 45 mins and possibly be $850, ok not every job is the same, I get it, but why not express such difficulties. Why not get a little annoyed or bothered when you are being told that I will be filing complaints to the BBB. BBB, Carfax and Kelly's Blue book will be having reports filed against Murphy's of Centerville Ohio, as well as the University chat line(s) where by Parents share needs to assist their children from afar. Nice looking business on the surface. My take never again, stay away.

WARNING!!!! Do NOT USE THIS MAN!!!!…read more Lorenz came to my home and told me I had a simple oil leak and towed my car to the "shop" on a Friday. We had some bad weather and he stated that they needed until Wednesday to complete the job. I paid him $40 for diagnostics and then $150 for the tow. Then sent $550 for parts. I also got a rental for 5 days through budget rent a car which cost me 500$ Wednesday came and it wasn't done. He said it would be done Thursday. I got the rental another day. Another $68 and $15 extension fee. Friday came and he said it's still not done. So after a week I have paid over 1k and it's not done. He promised it would be done the following Tuesday by 8pm. I returned rental that morning. At 9pm when he didn't show up he texted that he was done but there was still an oil leak. WHAT!!!!! He said he had parts and needed until Monday. Monday morning I asked him if it was going to be completed as promised and he said no. He needed til Wednesday. So 13 days he has had my car and it's in the same condition. I just had enough and sent a tow truck to their shop to get my car. When tow truck arrived it was at someone's house. They told me it was a mechanic shop. It's a random house on a sketchy neighborhood and my car sitting in front untouched with snow covering it still. He misled me as he had a shop. He just paid google bc he was the first to pop up. I trusted him and he lied several times. I am now at a mechanic shop hats legit and have had to get ANOTHER rental car for the week. This guy has lied and set me back almost 1500 and my car is in the same condition as it was 13 days ago. Do not trust him

Took me in without appointment and very quickly repaired a tire. Great guys. I went back recently for new tires. They did their best with my old dry rots. They were out of the Pumpkin Spice, but gave me nice round ones that roll at a very good price. Sadly lacking in different flavors.

Summers made thousands of dollars of me when I was driving around in my craptastic Chevy Blazer…read more Yes, you can get your tires here - included are your rotations btw. But they also repair just about anything. I bonded with most of the guys here because we were all truck drivers in the army. They always think its cool since I am a girl. Even without that fact they were always nice and never tried to get me to fix something that didn't need it. One time I came in and said "Jack, its leaking oil but I don't have any money yet, please don't let it cost too much". When I picked it up he said "I fixed the leak for now, just keep it topped off, but if you don't get a new tire you are going to die". How's that for honesty? My truck sucked and I was there often. They would drive me home, to work, or just give me one of their personal cars to drive. Jack let me haggle a little bit over cost, and would offer me a shot or a beer from his secret stash in the back to soften the blow. Once, after I practically dropped my paycheck to fix my ride he threw in a 6-pack of tall boys. That is service my friends. When I told them I was moving to Cali in my heap they were worried and checked it out for me. They did "just enough" work on it so I could make it there but told me to ditch the thing once I made it. I got to Cali with no problems. I only wish I had sold it sooner - it broke down within a few months and cost $700 just so I could then trade it in. Oh well. Thanks to everyone at Summers - you guys rock! HIGHLY recommend.

If you are reading reviews on Brownies in Beavercreek....read mine! It's worth the read!…read more BUYER BEWARE!! I have checked reviews on this place not only on here but also other resources and I find it extremely odd how the owner tends to accuse a lot of his bad reviews as "fake" reviews from their competitors! Hopefully this review will hold some value to what happened to my husband and me. Please note: I am no stranger to giving a 5 star review, or even less stars if warranted. Please read my experience before wasting time with these jokers. We took my car over to brownies in Beavercreek to get some feedback on what our issue could be. We explained to the guy who did the "intake" what our main concerns were and that word of mouth opinions pointed us to get a check on the transmission. They had the car for about 24hrs and gave us a call. Me and my husband put the guy on speakerphone at the first call to us, and the first red flag was the first sentence out of his mouth "we found you a new transmission for 6200.00 but it's the last one and the dealership only has one left" um okay....where was the diagnosis explanation at in that sentence? Seemed quite pushy once we started to ask questions and the longer the conversation became, the more apparent this guy was acting as a salesman NOT a concerned mechanic. He made us a bit uncomfortable with not being able to answer our questions. We both began asking questions and aside from the pushiness of getting the sale, he didn't offer up a whole lot of "diagnosis" He did however, let us know that we are smarter than most customers bringing our beautiful car in and noticing the "shudder" that we noticed between 60-70mph and that they also noticed it too when they drove it. I asked about 3 different times if there was anymore to the "diagnosis" than them just simply driving the car, but little info was given up to us. He mentioned that a diagnostic test would show no readings for them because of a "shudder" but how strongly he recommends us getting ahead of this for only 6200$ out the door. Mind you, when we dropped the car off....it was said that they try to pass savings off to the customer by "rebuilding" transmissions NOT buying brand new ones from a dealership. Long story short, we got off the phone and told him we would let him know our decision. As soon as we got off the phone I told my husband I don't feel right about this company and let's just pick the car up. Upon our drive to their shop (about an hour) to pick up the car and come back home....this guy calls us TWO more times trying to make this sale. When we picked the car up there was a shop tech in the office area, who seemed out place to be there, and when we asked for the keys he simply nodded and dropped them in my husbands hands. No words spoken, no hi, no see ya later. Keys were in our hands and out the door we went. 20 mins later--guess who calls us? Our Brownies friend JOHN again! The same salesman (or whatever this guy named John was) and he calls us once more to see if we made our decision yet. We explain how the car has been picked up and at home. He stuttered nervously over his words, and said he was sorry he was at another Brownies working that day and not at the Beavercreek office. Say what??????? I thought we had a beautiful car John? I thought you had first hand experience driving our car and recommending we spend 6200.00 on a new transmission????? Lesson learned folks....these people are the type of car shop a lot of ppl warn you about. ONLY OUT FOR YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!! PROCEED WITH CAUTION. Oh and my real diagnosis with my car? I needed 3 spark plugs changed out. A total of 250.00 out the door at a different, HONEST mechanic who laughed at the business model Brownies in Beavercreek operates on. My car has acted brand new ever since. DO YOUR HOMEWORK WITH THESE PPL AND GET A SECOND OPINION EVERY TIME!!!!! This is the type of business that makes me lose faith in humanity. I'm not mad, just disheartened how many innocent wallets they have emptied on lies and fake diagnosis. Guess nothing is really for "free". Glad we were smarter than their pushy sales pitches in all those phone calls!
