We wanted a photographer there to capture pictures of us and our children. As a result, we only needed a photographer for about an hour on a Saturday afternoon. I contacted Christopher via email on September 20 and explained our situation, and he said he was available for our October 20 date. Christopher sent us his contract via email. After that, I tried to contact him several times to follow up both via email and phone. I left several voicemail messages in the ensuing weeks, but he never returned any of the phone calls. Plus, time was running out to find someone new. Our wedding is in less than a week and Christopher is MIA. We can't find a replacement. Horrible! Thanks a lot Christopher! Maybe some day you will get around to reading these reviews and realize how badly you dropped the ball and let us down. If you couldn't do the job you set out to do, then you should have notified us ASAP so that we could make alternative arrangements.

He was very responsive, punctual, professional, and captured some amazing moments from our wedding. Package: We picked the "Il Tipico (The Typical)" package and added the cinematography ad-on (3-4 minute video summary of the wedding). The package covered 6 hours of continuous photography throughout the wedding. Photos: We had a few typical wedding "poses" prior and after the ceremony. However, my favorite photos are the photojournalistic ones that captured real moments. Video summary: The video summary was so amazing! Jorge took some wonderful video clips throughout the wedding day, and put it together into a cool video for us. Most of the other photographers I found were using silly photoshop filters or taking pictures at an angle to make the photos look creative, which I think is really cheesy. But what stuck out for me in Steve's sample photos were that all the images were so sharp and looked naturally beautiful. Before I met Steve, I had worked with several other local photographers and I can say Steve was by FAR the best to work with. He pays a lot of attention to the details in the photo like the sourroundings, positioning and lighting. His photos are beautiful, plus his prices blow the competition out of the water! I couldn't stop staring at them! We later started our search looking for a wedding photographer. This is no small feat. I learned that just because someone is a photographer doesn't mean they do weddings. I checked into several photographers and did thorough research. When I called Artlynn, I spoke to Jeff. He was professional, helpful and very friendly. I had many questions and he answered them all. He encouraged me to come into the studio to look at their work in person. So, I came in the next day (conveniently located) and was absolutely wowed by the photo work displayed in the studio along with the photo albums I got to look at. The pictures are clear, so much so, I felt like I was actually there in the scene. Now, that's talent. The pictures online don't do them enough justice, definitely go pay them a visit. When my fiancee was available, he came to see the photos for himself. Like me, he was impressed. Jeff once again was friendly and took time with us along with being very accommodating which we appreciated. We were glad our wedding date was available as it is a popular date. We are also relieved because Artlynn has done photography at our wedding venue many many times so they are familiar with the place which we know will be to our advantage. He has a unique eye for lighting, and his ability to capture stunning images of people and their environment is impressive. We were also amazed by his ability to efficiently handle large group photos (often including 20-30 people). Overall we are thrilled with the quality of our photos and had a very positive experience working with Travis. Our only major complaint is that at our reception, only guests who were dancing were photographed. Since we had a large outdoor balcony where many (especially older) guests went to chat, this meant that over half of our guests were not in any candid reception photographs. Additionally, we had a large fire pit and s'more making station on the patio, and there was only one photo from that (when then bride was roasting a marshmallow) - again, it's a really nice photo, we just wish there were more of the other guests who were out there. We enjoyed sharing the reception photos with our friends and family (there were some great images of those who danced), and wish we had photos to share with everyone. Aside from that issue, we have to note that Travis really went above and beyond in many ways. We were able to do our engagement photos in Chicago (where we lived at the time) while our wedding was in Michigan, and Travis traveled at no extra cost. He arrived early and came to our rehearsal to scope out the venue in advance to make sure he was prepared for the day of (again, at no extra cost). He even navigated a last-minute curveball when a family member decided to setup video recording of our ceremony, discussing with him in advance where to setup so that he would not be in the background of any photos. As noted above, he and Justin (second photographer) handled the group photos with impressive efficiency. Based on our experiences, we would strongly recommend Wasabi Photography!
