But after reading those reviews in its entirety. My husband and I decided to give them a call for an estimate. I spoke with Joe the owner of The Paint Pro's. He was able to come out and give me an estimate that same day which was awesome. He arrived at the scheduled appointment time which is always a plus. We told him what we wanted painted but we really didn't have any colors in mind we just knew we needed a paint job. Joe suggested some colors that I would have never considered and little did we know that we would go with those suggested colors and our walls would look amazing. After the estimate the next day we decided that we wanted to go with The Paint Pro's. The price was very reasonable and if Joe feels that you don't need a wall or a room painted, he won't paint it, it not about painting more rooms to get extra money with this company. Joe had such an amazing personality. He was very pleasant, had a great sense of humor and was very knowledgeable about paint. Joe came that same day we called him and spackle the walls. The next day he arrived and began. The job was suppose to take two days. However, Joe finished everything in one day. Communication was excellent and he explained everything he was going to do and everything he was doing. Joe went above and beyond and definitely exceeded our expectations. 1 Star - Defective Work, No Contract, Avoided Responsibility…read moreI hired Long Island Mason & Concrete Corp in June 2024 to pour a concrete patio for $5,900. The experience was a nightmare from start to finish. The Problems: The contractor requested payment in cash and never provided a written contract, which is required by New York law for jobs over $500. Within one week of the pour, two slabs began flaking and scaling. I immediately contacted the contractor. The work was done on a 100-degree day. When I raised concerns about the extreme heat affecting the concrete, the contractor acknowledged "this is the result of extreme heat" but refused to take responsibility as the professional who should have managed weather conditions or rescheduled. Months of Delays: Instead of promptly addressing the defects, the contractor stalled for months. When he finally offered to replace the two damaged slabs, he demanded I sign a liability waiver and warned the new concrete wouldn't match the color of the existing slabs - meaning I'd have a permanently mismatched patio due to his defective work. I offered a reasonable cash settlement to resolve the issue. He refused. I had no choice but to file a complaint with Nassau County Consumer Affairs. Official Violations: Consumer Affairs cited the contractor for multiple violations, including failure to provide a written contract (violation 202360, originally a $2,500 fine). He only agreed to a settlement after facing thousands in fines and potential license suspension. Ongoing Defects: After settling, two additional slabs developed structural cracks running completely across the slabs from joint to joint. All four slabs now show defects, confirming my original concern that the entire pour was compromised. Bottom Line: For a $5,900 job, I received a defective patio that required a 7-month battle through Consumer Affairs to get partial compensation. The contractor operates without proper contracts, pours in extreme conditions without adequate precautions, and avoids responsibility when problems arise. I strongly recommend hiring a licensed contractor who provides written contracts, follows proper procedures, and stands behind their work. This is not that contractor.

After investing a significant amount of money into what was supposed to be an exciting backyard…read moreproject for my son and me, I am left beyond disappointed with the workmanship, lack of accountability, and unfinished work by Ageless Masonry and the companies they chose to work with. This has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a contractor. More than a year later, the job is still not completed, and getting any response from the owner has become nearly impossible. The grading and drainage were done improperly, leaving my yard filled with puddles after rain and even after normal splashing from the pool. Multiple parts of the project remain unfinished, including lighting and wiring that were paved over before the electrician could complete the installation. The outdoor kitchen was never properly finished, the grill does not function, and the sink was never installed at all. To make matters worse, the pool company they used, Sweeney's Pools -- another company I would never recommend, caused damage to my sewer line, which ultimately had to be repaired by my own personal plumber. Despite the damage and ongoing issues, no one involved was willing to take accountability, leaving me completely responsible for dealing with the aftermath myself. Recent attempts were made to contact Bob, the owner of Ageless Masonry, regarding these ongoing issues. One response was received initially, but after I clarified my availability for him to come assess the problems, there was no further communication. No follow-up, no accountability, and no effort to make things right. For a company that promotes itself as a local Wantagh business, this level of customer service is unacceptable. What should have been a beautiful addition to our home turned into over a year of aggravation, stress, and disappointment. It is extremely upsetting to feel taken advantage of after trusting a company to do the right thing. I would never recommend Ageless Masonry to anyone. Save yourself the time, money, and stress and look elsewhere.
