After ~5 appointments with a different prenatal chiropractor, Dr. Ho was able to encourage my baby to flip head down within 2 appointments. I continued seeing him for the rest of my pregnancy, and when I went in to be induced, my midwife noted that not only was my baby head down, but she was in the perfect position for birth. I was able to have a peaceful VBAC with no epidural, and I attribute much of that success to Dr. Ho. She will release some areas on my neck and back, but also goes on to check my wrist and shoulders or whatever else I've tweaked. I sprained my ankle the year before, and Kimia was able to adjust it to make sure it was aligned and healing well. When I politely told them that I didn't need my husband and if I could pick an appointment that works for me, they did not listen to me and forced me to take a delayed weekend appointment because my husband doesn't work weekends. I left giving them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe I misunderstood etc. A few days later, I canceled my appointment in hopes of getting an appointment that best worked with my schedule, as I am in chronic pain and don't want to schedule based on my husband's availability. I let them know explicitly that I was canceling my appointment because I needed to book on my availability, not my husband's. The gal literally responded with, "Would your husband be available to video call in?" At this point, my frustration and overall "ick" confirmed that this is not the chiro for me. For as much pain as I live in, it's illogical to delay care unless it works with my husband's schedule. As an Army veteran, I do not appreciate being made to feel like I need a chaperone. As a 40+ year old woman who is (for all intents and purposes) the CEO of all things medical in our family, this felt needlessly sexist. When I directly asked why I needed a chaperone I was told, "I'm sorry you feel that way; it's not a chaperone it so that he can sign off/approve of [my] treatment plan". After I picked my jaw off of the ground, I let them know that it wasn't working out and I would not be rebooking with them.

My baby was in a frank breech position, which my OB told me is one of the harder types to correct, with a success rate of no more than 50%. Before seeing Dr. Chan, I had tried multiple methods including moxibustion, spinning babies yoga, and various exercises - all with no success, and I was close to giving up. From our very first conversation, Dr. Chan was confident, calm, and reassuring. She told me she truly believed my baby could turn, and she consistently reinforced that belief throughout my treatment. Her confidence helped me relax, reduce anxiety, and regain hope at a time when I really needed it. Dr. Chan is incredibly skilled. Over three sessions, she corrected a pelvic imbalance where one side of my body was about 2 inches higher than the other and brought everything back into alignment. Just one week later, I had a successful ECV. She also truly cares about her patients. Her staff is warm and kind, and the clinic has a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend Dr. Michelle Del Bene for both functional neurology and chiropractic work…read more Out of desperation, I came to her almost 2 years after a car accident that caused me a traumatic brain injury. I had gone to many medical doctors and optometrists who could not help me improve my cognitive abilities, vision and other problems since my concussion. Identified the hidden culprit: Dr. Del Bene immediately figured out on my first visit that I had been misdiagnosed. She examined my neck and said that my neck was out of alignment. I showed her the X-ray report of my neck from after the accident that said everything was fine. She said that couldn't be true. She sent my x-ray to a chiropractic radiologist who indeed figured out that my neck was straight instead of curved. The lack of curvature in my neck explained problems that I had with my autonomic nervous system and that I wasn't having the right connections between my brain and the rest of the body. The main culprit was hidden in plain sight! Dr. Del Bene was the only one to figure out the problem even though I'd had neck pain since my accident. Another hidden problem: She most definitely takes the time to listen and to think through what are the root causes of the problem. She also suspected that I had leaky gut or dysbiosis caused by the concussion and this would account for my inability to lose weight and other problems. No other traumatic brain injury specialist I'd gone to had made the connection between the gut and the brain. I spoke to a gastroenterologist specialised in leaky gut and he corroborated Dr. Del Bene's thoughts about my TBI causing dysbiosis. Vision: Since working with her, my vision has improved to the point where I do not need to use my reading glasses to read on my phone or certain books. I can read with my normal distance glasses. I had tried five different prescription glasses since my accident and they didn't improve my sight at all. Improvement in energy, mood, mental alertness and cognitive abilities: With Del Bene's chiropractic work, the exercises on the Multi Cervical Unit neck machine and the functional neurology work for my inner ear has made my brain work better and I have more energy and my mood is better. I've been coming to her clinic for over 3 months and I feel much better. I've made a lot more improvement in the last 3 months than I have working with any other doctor since my accident. Even if your head trauma is not new, and you're still suffering the effects of a brain injury, I highly suggest seeing this doctor. Cost: She looks for inexpensive ways for people to improve. When she realized I had a neck issue, she recommended a $15 or $20 pillow. I thought I was going to have to buy one of those $250 Tempurpedic pillows. She's not the type of doctor who's going to unnecessarily make you buy expensive things. I do get part of my visits covered through my health insurance. Her office sends me superbills that I submit to my health insurance company. Shani is Dr. Del Bene's assistant. She takes her job very seriously and is also very funny and warm. She is very detail oriented. Note: The majority of appointments do not start on time. The doctor takes the time to really listen and work with her patients. I don't suggest planning anything directly after the appointment.
