Service: 5 Facility: 5, Products: TBD…read more Our group of 5 came to try out making pottery during the Valentine's Day promotion, which is now sold out. Rakhi and her staff, including Maya and Karis, were fantastic. Our ability to follow directions and create the initial form varied among our group, and some had to restart from the beginning more than once. Maya was very patient with us and adjusted how much she assisted by each person's ability. Knowing we were first timers, the staff were very encouraging and helpful as we selected our shapes and attempted to create them. They also helped us personalize each piece with additional designs, and we're very excited to see how everything turns out. There are two parts to this class, creating a piece for baking and in a few weeks we'll return to paint and glaze the pieces so they're food safe. I think we're going to take a longer course the next time!

The event post noted one price and when we got to the event, we were told it would cost extra to glaze the bowl which was a necessary step make the clay piece food-safe. We were making dog bowls so of course we wanted them to be food-safe but it was a bummer that we would have to pay an additional fee on top of what we had already paid. I was charged more than others in my group! We were instructed to make our bowls outside on the picnic tables which weren't flat surfaces. The event poster also stated that we could shape our clay by hand or use the spinning wheel. The spinning wheels weren't even offered to us. Overall, I attended this event to make new friends and create something nice for my dog. I accomplished both so that was a win! While I most likely won't come back, this business is a fun concept that is great for groups of young children and I even saw a mother bring in her young daughter with her to glaze pottery together which was so sweet but the pricing and timing to pick up your artwork could be clearer. Also parking is very limited so park next door at the gymnasium.

Didn't really know what to expect as it was my first time but was surprised that the host didn't know what images I sent before my group arrived. They also ran out of important yarn colors, such as black. I wish they were more prepared. Once we got into the actual instruction, the host was really helpful and allowed us to practice using the tufting guns. First, we trace the images by using projectors. Next, we picked yarn color. Then, after threading the yarn through the gun, we start tufting! Finally, the rug is shaved and glued. Took us three hours but it was well worth the time and effort! It was a lot of fun and can't wait to try making bigger rugs!

We got there on time but we didn't start until 30 minutes later because the last group was running behind schedule. I think the host was not well prepared. The were so many yarn out of stock even the most common color, black. Some of the projectors to trace the images were not working so we had to connect our phones. Good parts: I do like the open working area with natural sunlight. The host did give instructions and try to help out as much as she could. She was engaging throughout the experience. The host glued the rug together at the end. We were there for three hours and took longer than expected. I rug tufted Iron Man. Ran out of material but it still turned out decent. I couldn't do my initial idea because they lacked yellow and black yarn. Overall, it was a fun event. I would go back but would first call to see if they have enough material.

Greeted with excitement, owner Rochelle of Board & Brush had me check in on her iPad. Showed me to my seat where we chatted for a bit. I saw my project in its raw form. I'm so excited to tackle this project. This is actually my second time coming so I know a little of what is expected. Rochelle does an amazing job taking you step by step and helping you. Even if you're not a crafter, never even handled a paint brush, Rochelle, and her staff are very patient, and very helpful. You start off with a raw board of pine. You're given a couple minutes to release your stress on the board. Hammering marks using chicken wire, a hammer, a mallet, and a large screw. You'll sand it lightly, and then stain it. Then it's time to stencil. Using a semi dry brush, you'll dab your brush on the stencil. Give it a minute under the fan to dry and peal the stencil off. And you're pretty much done. You get an official Bb logo sticker to complete your project. I recommend signing and dating your project on the back. Viola you're an artist! The Fancy Marshmallow Co. owner, Tina, she is such a sweetheart. She set up her beautiful marshcuterie spread. All made from scratch. Soft, fluffy, and flavorful treats. She has the cutest treats. All kinds of shapes and sizes. My favorite is the strawberry champagne. Trust me, they are amazing. Tina also brought in her hot cocoa mix ingredients and we all got to make our own bag of hot cocoa mix to take home. And we got to pick our goodies from the marshcuterie and box them up in the cutest boxes with heart printed tissue paper. Such a sweet touch to a fun class. I highly recommend coming to Board & Brush. Such a fun girls night out. They are BYOB, so it's a great group celebration. The Fancy Marshmallow, such a cute boutique, I've been several times. Tina comes up with the most delicious home made treats for all holidays and celebrations. Her boutique is the girliest cafes in Cedar Park! So darling. Check them both out. 5 stars!

Overall: We invested a lot of our time searching for Hana, and working with her to carry out our…read moresmall wedding. While we do appreciate her time and all the work she did, we cannot recommend Hana as a wedding coordinator because of her unprofessionalism. Please read below for why. For more questions, please reach out to us: noobebe0710@gmail.com. We hired Hana as our Day-of Coordinator for our wedding with 40 guests on October 5, 2024. We only hired her for Day-of Coordination and not Full Coordination since we were on a budget, and I, the bride, took on most of the planning with the help of my groom. We chose her over fourteen other candidates we thoroughly interviewed, where we spent about an hour for each interview. At the time of interviewing and hiring Hana for the job, she was very enthusiastic and thorough in explaining her role and the additional things she could assist with. Here are her assigned roles from our contract: I reviewed how each role went during the wedding: P for positive on what she did well. Our constructive feedback is below for what could've been done differently. P: She was fun to work with and very easy to reach before the wedding, even during times when she was sick. I was living out of town and the groom was living in Austin while planning, and most of our communication was virtual. She always tried her best to execute the vision we had for our wedding. Timeline management: Ensure the wedding stays on schedule P: On our wedding day, she was punctual and ensured she was the first person at the venue, making sure everything was organized. Rehearsal: Attend and coordinate the wedding rehearsal with the officiant to make sure everyone knows what to do when P: During our Rehearsal Lunch on October 4, 2024, she helped us coordinate our wedding entourage along with the DJ, which was very important to us since we wanted our plans to be executed smoothly. Venue walkthrough: Oversee the final walk-through of the venue P: She attended the venue walkthrough on September 19, 2024 and met with our photographer. Decorations: Ensure all decorative items are in place P: She did well when directing the setup for the wedding ceremony. She also assisted other vendors with logistics, whether it involved decorating or setting up for the reception. Vendors: Manage vendors when they arrive and confirm their setup locations and arrival times Ceremony: Line up everyone for the ceremony and cue the officiant and musicians for key moments P: She was able to tell us our officiant was late and she tried her best to contact him. He arrived on time. Reception: Coordinate the couple's entrance into the reception Cleanup: Oversee the breakdown and cleanup of the venue P: She made sure the venue was clean as the wedding concluded. She helped direct what happened with the wedding decorations during the cleanup afterward. Our decorations went to different cars. Even if some of our family members didn't give her the keys, she carried decorations to the cars. She tried her best to make sure the decorations went to the correct car. Communication: Keep everyone involved informed so the day runs smoothly Areas for improvement: For example, she could have contacted our other vendors such as our wedding cake vendor and DJ during the wedding planning process to ensure better synchronization on the wedding day. We understand that we only hired her for Day-of Coordination and not the full service, but we hired her believing that she would still assist with "some part" of the planning. It was very important to us that she proactively contacted our vendors so we wouldn't have to worry about the logistics. We also wish she had given clearer instructions to the vendors about our specific requests and expectations. Although my husband and I also discussed our expectations with her, it should've been written into the contract. Unfortunately, it didn't feel like she made much effort to contact them in advance. While we provided the vendor's contacts the day we hired her--almost two months before the wedding--there was no evidence that she reached out to them in a timely or consistent manner. This lack of communication became evident when our DJ made a few mistakes during the latter part of the wedding ceremony and parts of the reception. While we know this isn't entirely Hana's fault, we strongly believe that better coordination with the DJ could have prevented these mishaps. We also should've advocated having a meeting with Hana and DJ a week before the wedding to go over the final timeline since DJ Abner had a big role in the timeline. After the wedding, we tried reaching out to Hana for clarifications and feedback. We called, texted, and emailed her multiple times to set up a simple discussion, but she didn't respond promptly--or at all--for several weeks. When she eventually did respond, her email was not apologetic, nor did she acknowledge any responsibility for the mistakes or mishaps.

She went above and beyond and out of her way to help find special additions to make the event that much more special. Her personality and professionalism is the best in the business.
