I had difficulty deciding because of their varied menu of choices. Certainly wanted one of those tasteful looking scones, too, but will save that for another day. I ordered a sausage galette, a blend of sausage, bacon, egg and pepperjack cheese. It was like a gourmet croissant sandwich with soft flaky bread and perfect flavor mix and some excellent pop! There was a bit of coldness in the egg, but managed through that. Topped it off with a Scandinavian coffee, that was a delectable combination of coffee, cardamom and cream. It was a perfect post-morning drink without being sweet. This place will be on my list on future stops along Highway 71! Excellent service and great presentation!

I was shocked when the flavor of their espresso, their drip is great, and I love the little pitchers they use to give you the half-n-half! :) Most coffee shops that serve food and coffee are lacking in one of the departments, but this place serves both well! Plus, there are SO many food and drink options, with salads, teas, Lotus Drinks, specialty coffee beverages, and fresh sandwiches. All of the workers are polite. This is definitely the kind of place that you want to sit down at. I wouldn't describe this place as super fast, but that is no bother! No matter how busy it is, you still receive the same high-quality product with your drinks and food. As for seating, bring a large group, or come alone; there are SO many comfortable seating options here, from booths and comfortable leather chairs. Every time I come here, the food, drinks, and the workers here exceed my expectations! It is totally a hidden gem in Menahga, Minnesota. :-)

I ended up getting a sour-ish beer and it was great! It's a small brewery space but it felt very warm and inviting. I loved their wall of merchandise I ended up getting a hoodie to take back with me to California. Because I came in the winter I didn't get to go on their back patio, which I heard has an amazing view of the river (hence the name) River and Rails. I hope to come back when it's warmer to enjoy a new beer with a great view.

I, along with…read morefriends, have always remarked that the staff is friendly (especially the young lady who has been there for six years, I believe), polite and knowledgeable. Their beer offerings are varied and quality (including the bottled root beer). Plus, the place (tables/restroom/glassware) is always clean.
