Mike, the supervisor, kept a good eye on everything and was very helpful throughout the process. He thoroughly inspected the work once it was all finished. I was very impressed with how solid and strong the material was. The posts were made of cedar, and the construction was a quality job. The staining added the perfect finishing touch to our patio. Attacking a customers character is never good First off I have to say the work and speed that their crew delivered was great. We love everything that they did for us. We had a number of requests for them to: 1. Build a deck near our pool with cover 2. Replace our fencing to hide the pool equipment 3. New fence towards the back of our property In the photos you can see how great it turned out. Now where they lost their stars is in communication and dealing with conflicts. 1st issue - We had a dumpster provided that they subcontracted and had a number of issues. James gave my husband the phone number to contact dumpster company and "deal with the issue". As a customer all issues pertaining to a subcontractor that THEY hired should have been handled by them and not us. 2nd issue - some of the fence posts they installed warped and we asked for them to come repair. We had to text and call about 10 times! We were given dates that someone would show up and then no one showed up and no communication about 5 times. Continuous calling and text had to occur with the same result. Then random out of the blue one day someone showed up to fix the fence and once again no communication to inform us they were coming nor after to check how the repair went. This process was extremely frustrating and clear that dealing with conflicts isn't their forte.

The original estimate was $1,800, but the final price ended up being $2,200. For that amount of money, we expected professional workmanship and a finished product that we could be proud of. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. The project became frustrating almost immediately. The contractor ended up working alone, and my husband actually had to help with the work. We were given multiple explanations for why the crew was unavailable, including that they were working at another job or were sick. Regardless of the reason, we ultimately paid $2,200 for a project where the homeowner had to pitch in and help the contractor get the job done. Even when the project was finished, we had concerns about the quality of the work. We decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and accept it rather than make an issue of it. Then it rained. After the rain, multiple areas of the deck showed obvious staining where water had pooled. The finished product simply did not look like what we expected after paying $2,200 for repairs and staining. At that point, our concerns about the quality of the work could no longer be overlooked. We contacted the contractor and gave him the opportunity to address the problems. His response was that he could not come back to fix the project for another month. After already dealing with the problems during the original job, having to assist with the work ourselves, and paying significantly more than the initial estimate, we were not willing to wait another month for an uncertain resolution. We have decided to cut our losses and repair and redo the work ourselves. This was an extremely disappointing experience from beginning to end. The price, the lack of available help, the need for the homeowner to assist with the job, the quality of the finished work, and the lack of timely follow-through were all unacceptable to us. A $2,200 deck project should not leave the customer feeling like they would have been better off doing it themselves. We would not hire this contractor again and cannot recommend their services.

Last year we interviewed several contractors for our privacy fence project and decided to go with…read moreW&D Fence. Guiellermo, the owner, is trustworthy, stands by his promises, and builds a really nice fence. Since it was a custom privacy fence with an electric dual gate, the project had its challenges. We used pictures of similar fences to frame what we wanted and then put our own touches to the design. It did take a few field adjustments during construction but his guys were on top of it and the overall finished project is outstanding.
