Finding the perfect…read morematch was tough, and we were hesitant to consider a breeder with shelters full of amazing animals. But then, we stumbled upon "Paws Deep Animal Rescue," and it was an absolute game-changer! The owner, Victoria, was incredible. She responded promptly to our emails, texts, and calls, providing us with more information than we could have ever imagined. She truly understood our needs and found the perfect match for us. Now, we have a new furry companion to love and care for, and our lives are complete. They're dedicated to saving animals with no behavioral problems that are at risk of being put down because there's not enough space. They mostly rescue dogs from Texas and Georgia. Both of these states are in the top 5 for having the highest euthanasia rate in the United States. Please help these wonderful dogs find a forever home before it's too late.

We purchased a dog from her less than a month . When I messaged her for help after the dog bit my husband she responded saying she had no clue he was a biter. Then she changed it to say she disclosed it. Not only had the dog bitten my husband but he also bit our dog walker and son! She didn't care and just told me to take him to the shelter. Aweful person.

Then they are closed Monday's so we called on Tuesday and the cat we adopted is gone!!! I'm so heartbroken that the cat is gone and they won't do anything to resolve the situation. Someone "adopted" the cat after us and they refused to call and have them return the cat. They offered to take the cat we picked up back but let's take in account they wasted our time going to a vet and now we have to go to a vet again and shelter again to get another cat. I had to change my review after this because me and my husband are so upset at the carelessness of the paperwork. We really had our hearts set on that cat. They also said they will pay the vet bill to get a new cat neutered but how is that compensation when we just paid to neuter one of there cats!? We also had to drive back and forth to centerville to pick this cat up. I'm sure some future person will get told to pay to neuter that cat and then they will pocket the money since that's how corrupt this place is.

The shelter is running a special throughout the month of June (2016) where all cats are $20 (this includes micro chipping, neutering/spaying, and shots). The facility is clean, the caretakers are nice, and the process is easy. Visit during the week if you dislike crowds, because on weekends they get packed. Pro-tip: they take cash or check only. No credit cards. Be prepared because you'll probably find at least one animal here that'll capture your heart!!

I understand the need to properly vet adoptees but do not believe their passive aggressive disposition is warranted at all. I was interested in adopting an adult cat from them and all they did was send me an email borderline disparaging me, making unwarranted assumptions about me, and insinuating that I didn't read the online bio well enough. I ended up adopting a cat from AWLA instead, and they were much more seamless to work with and friendly. I am concerned for the animals that aren't able to find their homes sooner as a result of SPCA staff's nasty and unprofessional attitudes towards adoptees, but I can't stress potential adoptees avoiding this organization enough.

My husband and I both work full time but from home 1-2 days a week, we own our house and have a fenced in yard. Last year, we attempted to adopt a dog from them, which entailed a level of paperwork and in-person interviews that rivaled a job application. We showed up to a pet store to meet the potential dog at the specified time but they basically booked a whole bunch of people for that same time, so about a dozen of us were meeting the dog together in a sort of awkward group interview. The dog was about an hour late arriving and seemed stressed out by all the people. After, we waited as they individually interviewed us one by one. It took half a day and we didn't end up getting the dog we applied for. It was a waste of time for us, the other families, and certainly the dogs, who looked pretty stressed out meeting a huge group of people for the first time. Disheartened, we asked around and found another organization that rescues dogs from kill shelters in the south (Pet Rescue Alliance) and brought home our wonderful beagle mix same day. He's the sweetest dog and the joy of my life.

Since I work from home, if I can't entertain her enough she tends to get a little bit restless and then neither of us are very productive. She needs a lot of attention and exercise, so being able to drop her some days is a godsend. She comes home tired and happy. The staff here are super friendly and really seem to enjoy what they do. If my crazy pooch rolls around in special sauce (code for just about any excrement a dog can possibly accidentally roll into), they give her a quick bath so she comes home clean. Even if they're concerned about her, i.e. that small kennel cough epidemic that swept the area, they call to tell me if something is wrong. I love that they celebrate holidays and dress my pup up and send home pics and report cards. It feels like I'm getting a lot of bang for the buck, and I know she's in good hands because I can spy on the webcam! Also another awesome perk. She really loves coming here. I say "daycare" and she is by the door ready to go. I appreciate the enthusiasm they share for their pup clients and that they provide excellent service for their human clients too. It's definitely worth even the occasional splurge to have your pup be entertained, tired, and some sane human time. Let's be honest - we love our pups like we love our kids, but everyone needs a break! 2/1/19: I had to come update this because it demonstrates their high quality service. I live very close to the daycare, and yesterday when temperatures were just not safe for people or dogs to be out in, I planned to take my dog and spare us both. But the cold weather killed my car battery so we were stuck at home. The owner actually came and scooped her up for me. Now THAT is too notch and I was so very grateful, and it shows just how well they treat their human patrons too. If I could give 10 stars, I would!

When I picked her up, I noticed she had a bite wound on her back that was bleeding. I immediately asked the staff what had happened, but no one could give me a clear explanation. After I requested that they review the security camera footage, I was eventually told that the dogs had been "playing rough." What concerned me the most was that while I was speaking with the front desk, I could clearly see one of the daycare rooms where dogs were playing roughly without any staff member actively supervising them. That raised serious concerns about the level of supervision being provided. The following day, Luna's wound looked worse, so I took her to the veterinarian. She was diagnosed with a bite wound and required an examination, skin cytology, wound treatment, antibiotics, and medication. The veterinary bill came to $299.53, all because she was injured while in Dogtopia's care. As a customer, I pay for professional daycare because I expect my dog to be safe, closely supervised, and well cared for. Luna is a rescue dog, and trusting a facility with her care is a big decision. Instead, she came home injured on her very first visit. While I appreciate that Dogtopia refunded the daycare fee, I also believe they should take responsibility for the veterinary expenses resulting from an injury that occurred while she was under their supervision. This experience completely destroyed my trust in this facility. I will never bring Luna back, and I cannot recommend Dogtopia Manassas to anyone looking for a safe daycare for their dog. I sincerely hope they improve their supervision practices and take greater accountability so that no other dog or owner has to experience what we did.
