I would love to try this because of its great reviews. But I've called twice and haven't received a return phone call. I'm very picky about the groomer that I use for my professionally trained seeing eye dog Merlin. Especially since we had a bad experience with another Groomer called Lucky dog. I love how this groomer gets five stars. But if they don't return phone calls, which seems to be the case for me, I'm not quite sure if I should even give them a try. Excellent small business and the owners John and Tomoko love what they do. My dog hates baths and going to the groomer, but he seemed perfectly content when he was in the truck with them. When John came to the door, Gatsby trotted right up to him with his tail wagging, almost as if he was eager to get started. The fact that they are mobile makes it even better. The whole process took about an hit and fifteen minutes. The cut looks amazing, just like the picture I showed them. Because I've been through 2 major surgeries, I haven't been professionally groomed in a looong time. The doctor also shaved me in different places due to surgery and ultra sound, so I was uneven all over. My mommy thought I was healed enough and stinky enough to get groomed and since she didn't want me to stay cooped up in a cage at a shop, she called a mobile groomer. I'm VIP so they came to my house and I didn't even have to wait in line. They brushed me, bathed me, gave me a hydro massage, and even trimmed the hair that was starting to grow between my paw pads!! This is the first time ever that I am writing a bad review, but I feel I have to in order to let other people know what a horrible job Dashing Doggie Groomers did to my dog. Today I used Dashing Doggie Mobile Grooming for the first time. I have a Briewer Yorkshire Terrier, an uncommon breed. I specifically asked them to go on the net and see the standard type of hair cut for this breed which there are many sites. Obviously they did not do this. They didn't listen to me at all. They shaved off all the hair on my dog and he looks pathetic. Now, I am afraid to take him outside if the sun is up because he could get a serious sunburn due to the lack of hair on his body. When I told John about this he wasn't very sympathetic. In all honesty this was the worst cut and most dangerous cut if the sun is up, I have every had from a groomer, and I've been going to groomers for over 30 years. They work best when you are very specific and even better when you are present during the haircut. After reading the review by Carol P. I feel that something must be said. Carol, if you wanted a specific cut why on earth did you not provide a picture yourself? Why would you assume that it was their job to do that? They are already doing a huge favor by going to your place and grooming your pup there. Such a shame that you have to badmouth them for what was mostly your fault. A little on the pricey side, but worth it for my bud, love of my life. They are very understanding about my concerns cuz my little man has very sensitive skin issues and hair loss. They help me groom him well and watch out for his precious few tail hairs left. John is also very good about washing him with my specific method... Using my special shampoo, conditioner, and rinses. These guys are THE BEST! We have them groom Rufus, our Old English Sheepdog. We love them, and more importantly Rufus loves them. They really love the dogs they groom and understand that they are part of your family. Rufus is an older large dog and has hip and back issues, John always takes the time to pet and talk to Rufus prior to lifting him into the mobile grooming van. Tomoko is an excellent groomer and knows her breeds and the proper cut for them. With other groomers Rufus would be wiped out afterwards but with Dashing Doggies he looks and feels great! When I would take them in to a groomer they would be so nervous and it would take them some time to calm down afterwards. I tried to get my 11-year-old dogs nails clipped, because they got so long because everything was closed with the coronavirus and they were so long they were causing pain. Nail clipping is not enough profit for Dashing Doggie to come to your house. I told them I would drive to them, they assured me that they would call me sometime over the weekend and would fit me in. But, I never received a call from them, thankfully Lucky Dawg came through! I am happy with this service and they listen to how you want your dog groomed. So far, so good!! I took my dog to a groomer and they hurt her neck and said it took three people to hold a 9 pound dog down to cut the nails. I almost cried! I knew I needed a different arrangement for her but I hesitated looking into mobile grooming because I assumed it was much more expensive. While Chloe gets Tomoko and John's undivided attention and care, she can see familiar surroundings of her home outside their van as she's being groomed.
