Rebecca has done an amazing job with all my dogs the last several years that I have been bring them to her. She's always kind and understanding of any situations or problems that arise, whether it's a fussy dog or what have you. Parking is on the street. It's never been an issue for me to park and drop off the pups and pick them back up a few hours later. Note: I took my dogs here out of geographical convenience when i brought my dogs to another groomer and they hated their experience. One of my dogs was shivering from the groomer being too rough with him and there was a abrasions to his sensitive parts, and the other one wouldn't stop barking at the groomer. Needless to say, my dogs have a wide range of personalities, and Rebecca knows how to handle each of them. One becomes a little defensive when clippers are near his face and hates blow dryers, the other one doesn't like water near her nose, and the other one is a submissive angel. She knows exactly how to make each of their grooming sessions smooth as butter. My pre- and after COVID rating remains at 5 stars. For someone who has to deal with COVID protocols and changes to scheduling times while juggling a full house of pups with all kinds of personalities, she makes sure that she communicates to her clients. Her voicemail is always updated to the current situation in scheduling, future days that the shop will be closed, and updated hours. She ALWAYS returns my calls within a day and scheduling is always easy. Rebecca is the sweetest groomer I've ever met and I will continue to bring my dogs to her as long as her business is still open! read more

I called and left a message one day and the next morning I received a call and was ask to bring my dogs in. I was a bit shocked and said I will bring them in. Took me about an hour possibly but I got them in. Martiiy ask me questions about what I wanted for them and I left them to be groomed. She called back a few hours later and said they would be ready for me. I went to get them and they were happy and looked like what I ask for. So happy I finally made the switch. I had been taking my dogs somewhere else for years, but felt the staff was changing too often. First time customer but will definitely be back. I took my maltipoo Osito to Persmart for his first grooming a couple of weeks ago and let me say its not what I expected. This pandemic lockdown has been ruff on my pup. I wasn't able to get him an appointment for several weeks because his usual groomer is still not taking clients yet. Thankfully, I found A Shear Pleasure on Yelp and Rebecca saved the day! She did an amazing job on my dog's overgrown and knotted hair (he's a Shih tzu poodle mix). Rebecca was so friendly and welcoming and took the time to explain her procedures and make me feel comfortable in her salon. I was impressed by her knowledge about grooming and her ethical techniques such as not restraining pets by the neck! This is the first time my dog has been groomed without restraint and he seemed so much calmer after! Even though my pup has trouble trusting people since he's been with his one groomer forever, he took to liking Rebecca and I could tell he was not strained or stressed out when I took him home. Today was the first time I took my puppy here. Rebecca (the amazing owner of this place) was soooooooo loving to my puppy, maxi, right away! Rebecca was accommodating with my schedule. It was last minute and she was busy, but she was able To squeeze me in. Maxi is a feisty little puppy but Rebecca knew strategies to keep him calm and was able to give him a cute haircut. I have been seeing Rebecca for roughly 5 years now, maybe more! Her and her team have always done a wonderful job grooming my dogs. Today she did me a wonderful favor and squeezed my mom's pomeranian in for a bath and haircut. This was such a last minute request because I felt bad for my mom's dog since she had a haircut for colder weather and she really needed a summer do since she's visiting here in Cali. This is the second time I've taken my dog here and the groomer just does not respect the owner's wishes. Told the groomer we did not want her to trim her ears or face and when I picked up my dog the first thing I noticed was the trim around her ears and face. I highly recommend A Shear Pleasure Pet Salon because it is not just affordable, but they do an exceptional job. When I contacted a Shear Pleasure, I left a message and explained the situation on the voicemail. I said that I knew a lady who was homeless and living in a shelter and that she has a small emotional support dog that she couldn't afford to get him groomed, and that his toe nails were long and needed clipped. I got a call back immediately and it was from Rebecca, the shop Owner. She told me that she would like to help out. She said to bring the dog down to the shop. I contacted the lady and told her to take her dog down to the shop. She took her dog "Happy" in to the shop and was treated with 5 star service. The lady told me that Rebecca groomed the dog and when she was finished, he looked like a "show dog". She said he was soft and fluffy and no longer had dingy fur and long nails.
