This particular Dash's in Clarence has someone quite skilled in cutting corned beef in the New York Jewish deli style so if you are at the store when the carryout café is open, you should avail yourself of that for corned beef or pastrami. Must ....stop....coming...here !! My Daughter wanted "Dash's Pizza" for her Birthday, called ahead and ordered a whole Cheese Pizza and a Half Buffalo Chicken Pizza. Arrived and was handed two large boxes, certainly one of the boxes was quite large for a "Half Pizza", asked the girl if this is a half and she shrugged her shoulders and said "yeah" Got them home, opened the one Pizza and it was correct. Opened the other Pizza and it was instead a Whole Cheese Pizza with some Chicken Fingers baked on top...no Blue Cheese Sauce, no Wing Sauce. I should have known better, apart from a couple of slightly older ladies all they employ here are teenagers / early 20's kids who are more interested in staring at their phones and talking with each other than doing a decent job. Ugh, Joe ...get some training and accountability as based on the reviews I'm not alone. Went in looking for a ready made meal. They have a large selection but the chicken pot pie caught my eye. I was so looking forward to the comfort food - heat and eat how can you go wrong? Where in Williamsville the store manager lacks any kind of respect for customers, this location's management and employees go out of their way to make your shopping experience pleasant. This location. Has a good variety of products including both brand name and generic items. They also have a fresh produce, meat, seafood, deli and bakery department. They also have a prepared food department where you can pick up a quick meal. This market is close to my work and very convenient for picking up quick groceries and lunches; with many healthy options. Their Market Cafe has an extensive menu with hand carved sandwiches, fresh subs, pizzas, salads and sushi. They also have a great soup and salad bar. There is even a website for the soup bar so you can see what are in the TEN crocks before you get there - with three different soup-to-go container options. Favorite Dash's in WNY. Seems to have the biggest variety of food and by far the best cafe out of all the dash's. Love getting slices of pizza or subs to go, all very tasteful. Probably my favorite grocery store to get meat in the area. Absolutely love their chicken sausages and get their baby back ribs all the time. What sets this dash's apart is there is always less then a 30 second wait to get cashed out. Absolutely love that, your in and out in no time. I've always liked Dashs and it's my favorite store besides Wegmans. I hate grumbling about products but this really irked me. I purchased a large chicken Caesar from the grab and go case. It was 9 bucks but I knew that going in. What I didn't know was, it did not include the package of dressing that comes with the salad. So all I received was a big handful of lettuce, 3 ounces of chicken breast and a small handful of croutons. Maybe it's petty but, I felt kind of ripped off. This is one of my favorite markets. I love this location because there is always a buzz and everyone is very friendly. While there are always some good deals to catch, the store can be a bit more pricey than the average market chains. I absolutely love the meat department and getting help from butchers. The seafood is always presented well and there is a large selection of great offers. The market has an indoor cafe' as well as a bakery. The foodie finds are gourmet sandwiches, subs and pizza. They also have a soup bar with at least 7 different kinds to choose from. Let's not forget the awesome finds in the bakery ... Cookies , muffins, cakes, pies, cannolis and more. The indoor dining area is a cute little cozy nook. There is a fireplace and plenty of seating . My favorite part of the store is the produce section. read more

Back in wartime, most communication was done in morse code. There was the dot store (Tops), the dot dash (Wegmans), and then there was the single dash store (Budweys), and finally there was the double dash store (also known as Dashes). I'm not sure what it used to be called back then but it came to be known colloquially as Dash's. And now you know the story. So you can tell everyone and their mothers and sons the story. And maybe even their cousins. And stuff. I thought I already posted this review, but I guess not. So Dash's is basically a fancier version of Tops, a smaller version of Wegmans, a sexier version of the Moulin Rouge in Paris (ok, I made the last part up). It's a little pricy but has a lot of nice stuff, not a huge selection but it's definitely worth "dashing" into, in a pinch, although I'm not sure what a pinch is, or why one would be in one. Specifically, I like the good price on their Coconut Milk (they have the good brand, and it's usually priced well), and the decent spice collection, their decent veggies and fruit, their sub shop (which I will review separately, it's called LT's), and their soup bar... which almost always contains Angus Beef Chili... which I have to say is absolutely delicious. I can't quite give it a 5 because like the rest of the store, it's a little overpriced... but it is definitely delicious Chili and if you're in the mood for Chili and like Chili, try the Dash's Chili... you might be surprised and delighted, and not necessarily in that order. I've tried their other soups too, by the way, and some of them are delicioius. The Eggplant & Zucchini one really made my day. read more

It's the Dash's I'm most familiar with, and I love stopping in on my way home if I forget something or to see if they have any good deals. Typically, I love going to their deli. They have some of the best brands of cold cuts, and the staff knows how to get the cut of the meat just right which can be an issue elsewhere when you request shaved. They also have a great seafood and butcher area. Their assortment of Italian sausages are fantastic, and they're a go to when I'm thinking of making pasta dishes that require them. I'm a huge fan of chicken Italian, and I can always count on them to have it. I also love their market specials and their produce area. Their little cafe area is nice. If you want to take a break from shopping, it's a quiet little corner of escapism with coffee, tea, and delicious little desserts and pastries. The staff is generally very friendly and helpful. Many of them are local teens from the area. The clientele can be a mixed bag of individuals. There have been some unpleasant moments with customers, but it's never a reflection on the store. read more

I've been here a few times. The store is very clean and the associates are very nice. I came here a couple nights ago to get some cheesecakes for a friend's birthday party, since I was in the area. I wanted to get two large ones but instead, I bought two small ones. I bought one double chocolate cheesecake and one strawberry cheesecake. Both were really delicious. (I wish I would have remembered to take photos of them.) I bought a few snacks that were on sale on my way out and a gluten free dessert for a friend. She enjoyed it. The cashier gave me a free paper bag and the cashier at the bakery gave me a free plastic bag. I was happy with both. I enjoy dash's as a grocery store, even though their supply is fairly limited but this review is specifically for their fish fry. I've gotten it a few times during lent over the last couple of years and was appalled by what they had at the lunch hour today. The cabbage in the coleslaw smelled rancid, and the fish was lukewarm. The fries and Mac salad were ok. It is dished up pretty sloppily, and I certainly wouldn't order again. During this time of Covid, it is also very off-putting that a number of food prep employees are not wearing masks properly. read more

The staff are always friendly, and even the family of the owner can be found work g here . They have everything you could need: large meat and seafood section, good produce, nice bakery ( almond ring is to die for). Large selection of fresh soups, decent salad bar, and a sub shop that includes a variety of pizza and fresh roasted turkey or roast beef. Sandwiches are fresh, lots of meat, and great price. If you like fish fry they offer one every Friday featuring shrimp or fish, crab cake or scallops and very reasonable. Also popular is the SPOT coffee and bakery attached offering all sorts of yummy treats. Dash's is probably my favorite supermarket in the region. I only wish there was one closer to where I live. The meat department and deli are what keeps me coming back. I see many reviews complaining that the prices are too high, but when it comes to deli and meats, Dash's has Wegmans and Tops beat hands-down for value. The quality is probably equal to or better than Wegmans, and definitely better than Tops. However, I do understand that their prices for other groceries can seem high, so I really only go for the meat and deli, and look for other sales and products that you can't find elsewhere, and they do have them. I also appreciate that the size of the store is much more manageable than a gargantuan Wegmans. Here's hoping for an expansion into the Southtowns at some point. read more

I stop here whenever I am passing by. Seafood is wonderful. Produce is great but you will pay for that. This store also sells Campbell's beefy mushroom soup, which is darned hard to find. I pick up a few cans for my father each time I stop in. Fast food staff are on their cell phones visibly whenever I am here. Parking lot can be crazy at times, so park farther to avoid those in a big hurry. I now do not stop here on Fridays, ever, as the customers calls for fish fry do not have a dedicated phone number. They announce each call overhead, asking for staff to pick up for order call. This is nonstop on Friday afternoons. The checkout staff are always very pleasant, polite younger folk who will ask if you want something additional or a replacement item. Best checkout staff I ever encounter! This store sometimes has great markdowns on meat that is close to best by dates. Also, I have gotten beer marked down due to overstock, at great price. Came here for a quick prepared meal. Also ended up doing a little grocery shopping as well. They had quite a variety of hot soups on! I love soup so I will definitely be back for that. They have a "buy one get one" sushi of the week with 3 flavors to choose from. I picked the eel cucumber roll and the spicy California roll. This was a steal!! Finding incredible, reliably delicious food is one of my joys in life. Extra joy points if I find it in unexpected places. Dash's Clarence location's cafe is a GEM. During the last few weeks, I've eaten here a handful of times. I've tried their pizza, Philly cheesesteak, breakfast sandwich and burger. All have been outstanding. Each time, my order is perfection. Take the breakfast sandwich, for example (which you can order all day long.) it's a hefty sandwich. It's a fresh cracked egg on one of their homemade enormous English muffins with ample cheese and bacon. I don't think I've found a better breakfast sandwich in the area. The cheesesteak was enormous, and priced well at $8. It was freshly chopped steak on the grill with provolone cheese and sautéed mushrooms, onions and red peppers. Today I tried their burger. The fresh ground meat was a generous patty freshly griddled on a soft bun baked that day. I got hot cheese on it with sautéed onions. It came with a dill pickle and kettle chips. I'd be hard pressed to find a better burger for $7 in the area. The pizza is also reliably tasty. Because it's also a grocery store, bakery and deli, they have constant access to a fresh, amazing supply of food. Additionally, the service is always friendly, and there's a cute little cafe area to sit in. Often cafes will have hit or miss quality in their food, but not here. It's amazing every time, and the food is well priced and comes out quickly. I cannot recommend this location enough. If you're in Clarence, definitely swing by here for some great food!! read more

Employees are very nice and down-to-earth. Food tastes all right although it is overpriced like everything else in the store. However this review is to recount something that happened the other day. The owner was in the store, speaking with the management, when an elderly woman fell. An ambulence was needed for her. Management was quick to rush to the scene but the owner rushed out of the store and left!! I am very disappointed with the attitude from the owner, that was incredibly cowardly and selfish of him to leave! Shame on him for bolting when there was clearly a scene of distress! He is a disgraceful representative of the "city of good neighbors !!! read more

I live nearby and I absolutely cannot say enough good things about DASHS beside it is loud outside the building especially in back near shipping and receiving definitely needs to be addressed. We've noticed because we do walk here in good weather. I feel sorry for the neighbors surrounding the back. Otherwise their selection for anytime of day is perfection. Dash's is a nice alternative. We don't do much of our grocery shopping here, but we often come for their cafe. We found the lunch to be mediocre, but really like the breakfast! My daughter loves the pancakes, and their French toast is REALLy tasty. They also have a bakery full of sweet treats! They used to haVe spot coffee, but not have Public Espresso. It must be just transitioning, so all of the signage is still for spot. Truthfully, I was SUPER excited to try public espresso coffee, but was rather let down. I hope to go back once they are more in the swing of things, or maybe just head to the main location downtown. read more

I came from out of town, Now to drive here from my home was 25 min just to get Pizza that I ordered. I loved the pizza but I will never again buy from this place! I had a menu for this location so I ordered pizza from here saying I was coming from out of town. I come here they don't have it!!!!! I had two people with addtude tell me this happens all the time! This place is to cheap to put all addresses and numbers on the menu! I had to drive another 15 minutes to get my old cold pizzas! Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon to grab a sandwich for lunch with my husband. He ordered a slice of pizza which was heated up and given to him at the counter before we even cashed out. I was advised that when my pulled pork sandwich was ready, that they would bring it out to me...So I went and sat down with my husband. I watched him eat his huge slice of pizza and I still didn't have my food. I waited another 10 minutes before I walked up to the counter, only to find about 5 teenagers standing around talking to each other. I asked how much longer for my simple pulled pork sandwich and they all kind of looked at each other like no one knew anything about it including the boy that took my order! Then the girl at the cash register says "Oh its here" So I assume it had been sitting on that counter and would still be there if I hadn't walked up. No apology was offered, they did not care one bit. When I took the sandwich to my table, it was barely warm and on top of that there was barely any pork on the sandwich! For the $8.95 it cost me, it was a complete RIP OFF! I will never stop in there for lunch again. I looked around for a manager of some sort but everywhere I looked I only saw teenagers. Good morning, I would like to post a review about what once was one of my very favorite grocery stores. I have been avoiding writing the review as I kept going back on occasion, thinking it was either an off day for them or maybe I was being too judgmental. After almost two years, I just had to expound. What the hell happened to this place? I ordered a pizza from them one time and the young gal was " over the top" friendly, which was somewhat refreshing. Got the pizza home, wrong pizza and it was basically tasteless. Next time I went I shopped and than purchased a coffee. Someone in the back between the deli & coffee shop were having an argument, the woman had a mouth like an irate truck driver, that I did report. I didn't go in for another couple months. My next visit I shopped and purchased some soup for lunch. I always loved their soups; no more, like vegetable water, disgusting. This is all before Covid-19 hit. People's attitudes have changed dramatically. With the opening of the giant Hertel store it seems prices went up and quality went down, down, down. I was there again on June 11th to purchase some eggplant, I like to make a nice eggplant parmigiana every once and awhile. My daughter said to me ( she is a foodie ) the eggplant itself was not great. In the store, I picked & picked through artichokes for another dish, and they were all pretty pathetic. Has Dash's become too big for their breeches? You tell me? I have been a loyal customer to them, but no more. I prefer Trader Joe's, and the Lexington co-op. Better quality, far superior service. The workers are happier. The co-op maybe a little steeper, but it is so worth it. Make America Great Again? More like Make America Rude & Arrogant again. What an absolute disaster this place has become. Let's start with tHe produce. Every container of berries had solid mold on the bottom. I went through 20+ and all mold. Then you get too the meat section and their are a bunch of kids working there in the back cursing up a storm, F this and F that. I finally get my extremely overpriced items, and try to cash out. The girl cashier was being harassed by what looked like a little boy manager. They were acting like it www speed dating. I was ready to grab my own itEms and cash them out it would have been faster. Whoever is running this place needs to get fired. Will never be going back and Follow Up: my wife went in to grab some cooked breaded chicken, they gave her the chicken on the label it was marked pulled pork, and inside was fish. Picked up sausage to grill for Fathers Day. Once again they don't disappoint. I bought the house made jumbo pork, parsley cheese chicken and buffalo chicken. They were all a hit. The buffalo chicken is by far my favorite, with a "medium " heat flavor. Honestly every time I have served their sausage (pork or chicken) I get compliments. read more

This is my favorite grocery store ever. I travel from OP every week to shop here. The prepared foods are delicious and reasonably priced (ie: 30% less expensive than wegmans). This is a small to med size store, but it has everything! The meats and seafood is very fresh and high quality. I love this Dash's more than any other. It's big, has a great selection of EVERYTHING (I love the way the produce is organized and displayed!), and they have good deals if you really look around. They also have Bagel Jay's bagels, Vin-Chet pastries (try the cherry pie!!!!!!), and lots of other cool, local items... Speaking of... They just started carrying Charlie the Butcher sliced beef in the deli! We bought a pound of meat with au jus, some kimmelweck rolls (so fresh and delicious), and stuff for a salad. Best dinner at home ever! Charlie the Butcher beef is so tender and amazing. So glad they sell this now! Dash's is nice and bright and calm and so conducive to having a non-rushed, harried shopping experience. This location is the most zen of supermarkets as far as I'm concerned. read more

Dash's is the place to go for meat. Prices always good and quality is good. There sausgae is awesome. Cuts of meat perfect. Only problem is the blonde girl with tattoos who now works in meat dept. She is not very pleasent and friendly. Have been going there for years and when I go there now I hope she doesn't take care. On another note have some of the best english muffins you can buy.
