The quality of the work was good. Scarlett was excellent. I had my teeth cleaned at a cost of $802. The breakdown is shown here. They seem to have charged me for a deep cleaning two times at a cost of $410 each time for a total of $802. However, that isn't the total cost. There is an additional $125 cost of $125 for Xrays and evaluation.The grand total was $401 + $401 + $125 = $927. YES, $ 927 for a teeth cleaning. OUTRAGEOUS! In the beginning we were very happy to get into Dat Dental. Everyone was so nice and seemed professional. The office is very high tech. Seemed like a very good fit. But we soon became very disappointed in their business practices. We came to know that their sole purpose is to do as much dental work on you as possible as quickly as possible. They had us run up a $5000 bill that was not covered by insurance, all the while telling us that it would be. They did not read our insurance policy. They just kept telling us that our procedures would be covered. And, to top that off, the day they told us that the procedures that we had had done were not covered and that we owed them $5000, they abruptly dropped our insurance company. This action required that we either pay full price to continue at Dat Dental or find another provider. They acted like the insurance company or we were at fault. They took no responsibility for their errors or lack of attention to detail. No. Dat Dental was to blame. They dropped the ball by not getting things approved before they told us they were. In addition, we were told that Dr. Dat would "make an adjustment" because of the mixup. That never happened either. Shiny operation on the outside. Beware of their business practices. My family had been going to DAT Dental for years. I was happy with their work, particularly with the dental technicians. I had to have a molar replaced a few years ago. They told me it would be covered by insurance. I went in for the pre-op appointments where they made molds to have the tooth made. They replaced the tooth with a tooth that is not the right size and protrudes into my mouth. Why make a mold if you result is a very poorly done tooth. Upon leaving, they demanded payment of $4000 immediately. No it was NOT covered by insurance. They told me it WOULD be covered. I would not recommend this business. If you do have work done CONFIRM YOUR INSURANCE YOURSELF. DO NOT BELIEVE THEM IF THEY TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE COVERED. THEY LIE. I am very disappointed with my service at DAT Dental. I went in for basic dental and and implant. The fee on my part was close to 2,000.00. This was paid in full on time. I was told the implant has a lifetime warranty. Yet in 13 months when it became loose I was told it had a warranty of one year. Then while sitting in the chair in the office waiting to see the dentist the assistant once again states not to worry as I have a lifetime warranty on the work. The dentist examines the implant and then takes an x ray. He determined the tooth next to the implant has an infection and has caused issue with the implant. He said that when I first came in to the office that I needed a root canal when he put the implant in. I asked him why did he put the implant in then? Why didn't he advise to get that taken care of first? That seems to be a very serious issue. He said the infection has destroyed the bone where the implant is placed and therefore the implant is loose, which is what brought me back to him. He told me the implant had to come out. I was very upset of course. Vanity and expense. What a waste of money and it could have been avoided. He said he needed to pull out the infected tooth and then pull out the implant and gave me an approximate cost for the work. At the time I had the implant put in I was working and at this time I am not due to a long illness. Consequently, I had no idea I would be looking at a dental bill at this time. I was upset and said that I couldn't make an appointment at that moment. I had to pay for that visit of course and drove home in tears. Follow up: I went to a different dentist to have the infected tooth pulled. I went to another dentist who specializes in implants for a second opinion. Result: The bone is not damaged. The implant itself is perfectly fine. It was the cap that was loose. The dentist told me that it was put in poorly to begin with!!! The screw that was in the bone was fine. No bone loss showed on the x ray.. The cap or artificial tooth was not set correctly onto the metal and that is why it became loose. He repaired the entire issue in 20 minutes and it has been wonderful and hasn't moved since!!! The dentist was so annoyed with DAT Dental for what happened to me and how upset I was thinking I lost so much money for nothing he didn't even charge me. What a decent human being. I was so impressed I gifted him and the office with some fun things for their time and kindness. He has asked to remain anonymous and I have agreed to respect that. I am writing this review as I feel it is my responsibility as a consumer to share this with others who may be in a similar situation. I thank those who took the time to read this. read more

She was very honest and she knew exactly what she was doing, I went in today as a brand spankin' new patient and was very impressed. This is not the place to bring your kids for dental cleaning. The hygienist or assistant got the names of my kids wrong. Then said she was ready to start the cleaning, but still was fiddling around for 5 mins getting her instruments ready. Clearly she does not have experience working with peds. I asked for someone that has experience, but she got defensive and said she does have experience. Anyone with experience with pediatrics should know kids don't have the patience to sit still for 5 mins while you set up. You should set up your instruments first, then proceed to clean asap. She kept saying she's ready to start cleaning, but stops to do something else about five times. Then she became frustrated and said my kid need to sit still and stopped the cleaning. You can't expect a 3 year old to sit still while you are cleaning his mouth. A pediatric dentistry just does it and it was quick and easy. It was my fault to decide to use Dat Dental since it was closer. Now to find out the owner allowed to have a methadone clinic in the same building. I'm not opposed to having a methadone clinic, but this is not the appropriate location to have one. read more

This place is amazing! The staff is very welcoming, and so nice. You walk into a brand new building, where there's plenty of parking and immediately you are greeted by the cheerful receptionists. Of course like any other place they have you fill out paper work, and wait a couple minutes. They have a very tidy, spacious waiting area with refreshments and even a play area for toddlers. I went in for a teeth cleaning and check up. Where Amy did a phenomenal job making be feel comfortable with everything she was doing. She was very detailed and very thorough. Dr. Dat came in and explained meticulously where I needed work done and how in the long run it will benefit me. This is a brand new location for them and who doesn't love coming to a new, clean, top of the line equipment place. Everything was so spotless, almost immaculate!!! At check out, you talk with the receptionist on your dental plan and if you have to schedule any appointments in the future. She was very friendly and gave a break down of payments and plans and even explained what to expect for future visits. I will definitely be coming back here, as I already scheduled my next appointment. To say the least, I walked out of DatDental feeling great! with a clean newly polished smile. Referred here for a tooth extraction. I was a bit impatient with them and they handled it gracefully. My extraction was quick and pain free, and I added the $99 full check up special in the future. Since I already had an exam for the extraction, they only charged me the difference for the full work up. That's a great deal. Dr Dat and his team saved the day, yet again, for me today. I'd been dealing with sensitivity to hot and cold for a few days accompanied by some pretty severe pain. Bri, at the front desk, was able to get me in immediately so that Dr. Dat and crew could find the problem. Yep, another tooth gone bad and needed a root canal. I've got stage 4 cancer so they know they have to be super careful with my mouth and the cancer drugs cause endless teeth problems. They called the root canal specialist from their office at 9:20am this morning and managed to get me into the specialist at noon today. This is 100% what everyone should get from their dental professional team. If you haven't been yet, call them for a cleaning today or wait til your root canal blows up and let them work their magic on you. I had a wisdom tooth extracted at this office. The front girls Faith and Lily were really friendly when I came in. They helped ease my mind a bit with their fun personalities. They had a great deal they offered me on a sonicaretoothbrush and I loved how I could use my flex spending card :) Jessie was great with making me comfortable and hooking me up with the nitrous! We came here when they were fairly new. The office looked really nice and clean and the technicians were friendly except when they start working on you. My observation from the beginning was the lack of awareness in everything they touch with their dirty gloves and putting it in my child's mouth. I mentioned it when I filled out their service survey that they ask at every visit which they seem to have improved a little. My child had a baby tooth that needed to be extracted but her teeth are pretty straight but the doctor was insistent that she get braces. Since he's the dentist I felt he knew how her teeth would come out until I realize later she really could have gone without it. So over $5K later which the price seemed to have creeped up from the initial statement. There was a discrepancy in the billing which I kept trying to contact the doctor about and kept asking the billing manager for a better explanation and connect me with the doctor which they never did as if they kept him in hiding. I was being charge extra $200+ which I refused to pay until they sent it to collection. I just wanted it to be over with and went ahead and paid it. Now the dentist insist I pay everything up front before I can make another appointment. Very SHADY!!!! read more

My husband and two children decided to try Dat Dental off 196th because it was super close to our house but I wish we would have stayed with our other dentist! They are very quick to tell you the service you need is fully covered by insurance and then wow a month later you get a bill! This happened more than once! They also told my 15 year old she needed a Frenectomy and were quick to try and schedule it...then the next visit it was braces and then the next she has great teeth and gums...So glad I didn't do any of their suggestions. Lastly, my husband had a tooth worked on and they didn't do it correctly, he was in pain well over a month after, we then had our previous dentist take a look and she was able to repair the mistakes that were made. I was in Seattle for a business trip and I had a cracked tooth that needed a root canal and crown per my dentist at home. I had been eating on my left side to avoid pain but, unfortunately, I had an episode where I needed immediate help. Dr. Dat used the best technology and imaging to see all of my teeth and was able to determine that the crack was repairable without a root canal! His assistant prepared my mouth for the procedure using a rubber insert and Dr. Dat & his team were incredible! He provided an all-encompassing resolution, providing a filling for my tooth AND repairing a filling that was low. His work was incredible and I felt his assistant was excellent as well! I usually go to a dental office in Bellevue and every time I visit, all they tell me is "it's good, nothing to worry", and then all of a sudden there are fillings needed to be done. Beyond amazing!!! My 8 yr old was in for some fillings, and knew she had to get the dreaded shot. ( not her first fillings done). She was a bit nervous but kept being brave because the office has a great reward system for kids coming in to appointments. The dental assistant Galina was so sweet and comforting to our daughter, and Mina the hygienist came in to do the numbing. She put in lots of topical and talked out kiddo through the whole process. She did pre numbing of the tissue before penetrating, and our daughter said that she got NO SHOTS that day!!! - she did though!!! She just DIDN'T FEEL the needle go through due to the extra steps Mina took to insure the tissue was slightly numb before poking. Best fillings experience we had so far!! Dr Dat was great as always as well. We love how the doctor and assistant kept talking to each other, us and our daughter during the procedure. People beware of this dental place. DO NOT go to this shiny dental office based on a lot of good reviews. I just found out those reviews are from friends and family. They are all FAKED. I hope that someone reads and save themselves. The staffs seemed professional, but soon became unprofessional and crook in their practices. I came in just for a regular cleaning and Dr. Dat recommended me to refill one of my molar teeth even though I had no issues with that. BTW, my old filling has a silver color because I did it in the past 20 years. So Dr. Dat convince me to filling for a better look. So after filling for a few days, my molar teeth started getting severely hurt. He asked me to come back for a few times but he could not even fixed the problem. He ended up telling me that my molar needs to be extracted. At that point, I knew this guy is not a good dentist. He screwed up my molar teeth and he even asked money to extract? Shamed on you Dr. Dat!!! You had no integrity on your business practices and took no responsibility for your mistakes. I will be going more public with this! I have been terrified of dentists for far more than a decade. When the worst happened I'd find "Some dentist" and they would suffice. But I realized I had to take control and find a dentist office that would help me start a cleaning and repair schedule AND be super understanding about my fear and pain. My daughter and I have been patients of Dr Nguyen for years. I was told that they do not offer silver fillings so they will bill my insurance for the white filings but give me the same coverage/discount as if they were billing silver fillings as it was not my control they did not offer it. I then get a bill 11 months later that is a long ledger that runs everything together not readable at all and stated I'm past due, VERY FIRST BILL I received from them so how I'm past due is beyond me let alone they are charging me full price of the white fillings and not keeping the original agreement we had. So now I have over $700.00 bill with them. Also my daughter needed 5 teeth pulled for braces the nurse numbing gave her 15 shots to the roof of her mouth and still couldn't get it right. My daughter felt all the pain of each tooth being pulled and was kicking and crying due to pain and fear. I would not recommend this place as they so not keep to their word and not great with numbing children. If I could enter -5 for customer service I would!
