    Session schedule, cards, and dauber
    Jess A.

Saturday evening session. Went as a group of four, with two first timers and two who hadn't played in a really long time. Staff were super nice and gave us all free daubers and helped us understand the two packet minimum which cost only $6 per person. They gave us scheduled sheets and explained how the games worked and the seven ways to make bingo are helpfully printed on the bottom. We bought a $2 power ball type thing and spent $7 more on single game cards each. There were a few singles we sat out but even if we played all it wouldn't have cost over$20! It was an awesome three plus hours for twenty bucks or less! One in our group got bingo on the last blackout game with the biggest prize, split between five winners they still got a couple hundred bucks, not bad! Good snack bar with fast, friendly service, a welcoming regular player next to us who gave us helpful tips, and a clean and comfortable space to play. We laughed a lot and all agreed we'd go play again!

Always a good time! There's plenty of seating and lots of cheap snacks. If you're a casuals bingoer is suggest only 1 packet and the add on games, they go too fast for more than one packet if you're a new. Went again and was just as stoked. This hotdogs are better than Costco! Can you say toasted bun? My friend and I went halvsies on a electronic machine (worth it!). Stay for the late night sesh, it was a lot less crowded.

DAV Bingo is open for 4 Sessions. Monday, Wednesday-Sunday. Sessions are at 10:00am, 12pm, 3:30 and 6:30pm. It limited to the first 100 customers. I am happy to see them open again after a year.

I absolutely love DAV Bingo, and while 5 stars might seem extreme for a random Bingo Hall, I assure you that is not the case. Things to note right off the bat, they are serious - NO OUTSIDE FOOD, and that also means no booze. Although they can't offer booze their food is super reasonably priced - albeit diner type fried food. However if you are like me and prefer the AM session - you can get their AMAZING breakfast burrito for $5 stuffed with eggs, cheese, hash browns and sausage. They also have delicious chicken tenders and ranch dressing... #justsaying. That's not all that makes DAV Bingo a fun place to go - it's the people that work there. They quickly make you feel part of a team, even if like me, you can only go a month or so at a time. Also, the regulars, they are so nice even if you sit in their seats - shout out to Ruth and Manuel. I have won 3x, and although it was miniscule amounts it was worth the time, and I will be back... save my seat! Note: They play 7 ways bingo - make sure you get the card explaining the ways, it took me awhile to get used to this as it was not what I am used to on the East Coast.

HOT BINGO TIPS! GET YER BINGO TIPS HERE! B - Be verrrrry quiet. Rule #1. Folks are paying attention here, and they do not appreciate distractions. Once you start playing, you'll understand. If you don't, you will be shushed. - Bring Cash. There's an ATM, but you're here to make money, not spend it on fees! - Big payouts! When we played on a Friday night, the blackout rounds raked in about $1200 smackers. I - INTENSE is the word I've used to describe the experience. Fun with a friend or 2, but mayyyybe not 20 of them for, say, a birthday party. Future reference. - Imbibe B4 and after. The Bingo hall is a no-booze zone, and insanely well-lit and monitored. - If you spend more than $40, you can get a machine to digitize the process. Next-level shit. N - Nab one of the sheets at the desk that shows all 7 different ways to win. You can easily win without knowing it, and how sad would that be? - Numbers appear in more than one place, so don't worry if you missed the call -- the big board flashes numbers as they are called, and the live ball cam shows the next number up. - Never miss the opportunity to get the $1 blackout Bingo cards. You'll be looking longingly at your neighbor's cards during blackout if you don't jump on it when they come around. G - Give yourself at least a couple of hours there. Things move fast, and you'll want to get through your whole packet. Speaking of which... - Get whatever packet they recommend at the desk. A set of color-coded cards and a dauber, plus an extra ball game that I never remembered to play ran me $8. - Gloating is uncouth, but generosity is cool. If you win, don't make a scene, but do feel free to tip your caller. O - Once BINGO! is called, seasoned players wait, because mistakes can happen. First the staffers yell out "POSSIBLE!" and then call out the card # to verify. And more than one person can win, so check your cards for all 7 ways. - Only do what works for you. There's enough to keep you as busy as you wanna be, but if you miss something, don't stress. Get some pudding & cola, stretch your legs & blink. Everything's gonna be OK.

This place is straight trippin balls! For non bingo people out there, this is what I call a real bingo hall. Giant ass room, utilitarian table and chairs, and a tiny caller stand on the side of the room. The vibe is super serious and sterile, like a hospital, people are biting their nails trying to win the the big one. Or at least I was. It was really intense because it caters to regulars who know what their doing. They go quick and you have to keep track of all 12 of your cards, while the PA system is muffled like a horse race track. If you miss a number you are screwed. One of my favorite things about this place was the little camera that they have on the ball, and the monitors around the room. It's zoomed in fisheye, so when it shows them picking up the ball, you get the nitty get details of the callers finger nails. It's creepy like watching the Blair witch project or something. Very awesome. Also I won a shit load of money. I spent $4, had 3 hours of entertainment and won $63 bucks. Now that is a deal if I have ever heard of one. I used to go to Mississippi pizza for bingo entertainment. But I really hate getting stuffed animals and other knick knacks for prizes. Gimme the cash baby! This place has an entertainment style all its own and more portlanders should check it out! Oh yeah if you go late night. Bring your own snacks. Next time I'm brining fried chicken and Dr Pepper. Oh yeaaaah!

What is The Cost for a Machine on Monday's?

$50 everyday we are open. (Closed on Tuesday's)

What are the payouts at different sessions? i seem to recall several years ago that my granddaughter won 5.00 on a multiple winner game. dont remember much about it , but it seemed like low payouts for daytime.

Each game will have a listed amount, they range from 25, app, 200 etc. winners will get more if they don't have to split. I won 50 when I was there last (2 way split)

After ordering food and a round of drinks for the group, we sat down at one of the gaming booths, excited to dive in. When I went back to the counter to ask how to start playing, the bartender told me it was $5 per person to access the games and that guests needed to consistently order drinks to maintain access. Honestly, that seemed fair to me. However, things quickly went downhill. I offered to pay the game fee, but was told I needed to buy drinks first. I explained we had just bought drinks--he had literally served us minutes earlier. His response: "You need to have an open tab, and we won't let you play unless you order more." At that point, the experience soured. The staff felt dismissive and unwelcoming throughout the interaction. Despite already spending money, we were denied access to what we came for. We finished our drinks--which, for some reason, didn't count--and left. This was my first visit, and unfortunately, likely my last. (This place had 5-star potential when I first arrived, but the staff interaction left miserable)
