The staff are very welcoming and receptive for new players, the dealers are professionals, the room set up and ambiance is fun and inviting with TVs for sports, couches, pool tables, full restaurant and bar, and most importantly, legit poker. I was unfairly permanently banned from the club. In my final tournament there the dealer made 3 errors in hands I was involved in. The club knows this is true. This place is super plush and looks like a terrific facility for some outstanding poker battles as well as hanging out with old friends and just getting out of the house for a few hours. They do serve beer and wine now. Very nice addition. (Even if you don't partake you might like seeing your opponents drink. Most players seem not to drink. But if you like to sip on somethin while you play, now it's available, hooray!) Also they have upgraded the food service, still wouldn't come here for the food, but there are more choices now when you get hungry during that long session. Another nice feature I don't think I mentioned last time is it's quiet. They do not blast you with music! Nothing wrong with music, I love music. I'm updating my review since it's been more than three years since I wrote the last one and a lot has changed at the Final Table since then. Gone are the days when tournaments didn't always start on time. Their staff are friendly, the kind of people who will quickly learn your name and the games you like. The new location is huge and let's them host some huge tournaments without things getting cramped. The parking lot is a little smaller than the last one but it isn't usually a problem. They just installed a whole new kitchen and hired cooks. The food quality has gone way up since the days when they sublet the kitchen space out to people. They just replaced all of the chairs in the whole club. Their dealers are generally very good. You have to account for the occasional bad dealer since they are all volunteers. The club is now 21+ and up because they serve beer and wine now. They have security that has kept the drinking from being a problem. I haven't had time to play as much hold em as I would like, but when I do have time this is the club I go to. read more

let start with saying this was there grand opening first off, but they had been open for soft opening for a couple weeks . here are my list of things thought that where bad 1)they kinda lied in my opinion it was not a true 2K free-roll it was a 2K guaranty "way to go with first thing you do is lie". 2) the staff at the counter couldn't have been any slower entering people into the tournament . 3) the tournament director had to be the worst of any tourney i have ever been in .he had no clue how to run a tournament . 4) balance the tables please !!! this was never done properly . i guess that goes in with my #3. 5) atmosphere wasn't to bad just a big empty space the put a bunch of poker tables in kinda had a cross felling of maybe a man cave and a bingo room. 6)almost forgot the terrible tables with what i would call wallpaper felt and cheap chips and below par seats. excluding the actual final table witch is nice and has real speed felt . 7)how about some more food carts i saw one for all 15 tables . sad when i see people use chairs people sit in as food table . 8) food was basically a concession stand. 9) NO BAR !!!!!!! makes me wonder why they cant they get a liqueur license. 10) raffle tickets, really ? 11) the other kiss of death to me was the fact you couldn't start on time . here are the good things i can say . plenty of parking . I will never play here again mainly for reason #1 . I would play at one of the many other poker rooms that are well established ,well run and good track record . Aces . Played in the 20k on Friday night, I have been here a couple of times and am just not impressed Most of the dealers are a bit slow and allow too trash from the players. They seem intimidated by the "regs". You have other dealers that need to feel like they are "god" at the table and enforce any arcane rule even if the player is new to the club. Out of the mix of 5 dealers, maybe one was competent and kept the players in line. It is one thing to know your regs, but a whole other thing to talk hands with them while at dealing at the same table. Numerous times, a dealer on break would come up and talk hands with players sitting at the table. While there is nothing inherently wrong with this, it presents a rather intimidating picture to new players. Whether you like it or not, new players are the lifeblood of the poker economy. About the only thing going for it is the parking, but even then you have to get through the raft of players/dealers/security guard smoking outside the door. Some don't even respect the 10foot rule that is prevalent here in Oregon. I'm thinking I'll make the longer trip to Encore club or play for less money at The Players Club. Also, they are not offering their Foursquare deal apparently, but they can't figure out how to take it off Foursquare. read more

This is my first time yelper and I am from the NE side. I was so excited to have a poker room so close to my house but i was not impressed with the management at all. First of all, I have been there a few times and I have always been greeted the same way: I wait at the counter for about 3 minutes with no line, just me waiting, before i am acknowledged by some older man wearing a plaid shirt, orange vest and thick glasses... At first glance I don't know if I just pulled into a truck stop to get gas or out getting hunting gear. I can only assume this man owns the place? Second, the place needs some decor. It is very bland, stark and too bright. The big florescent lights that are on half the time are very hard on the eyes and half of those flicker or turn off and on randomly. The nice lights that are over the tables are perfect when just those are on. It feels more like a warehouse or a vacant store. Well that is all for now. read more

I've been to this place quite a few times and I disagree with the review previously posted here Here are the good and bad things about this place compared to other poker places Good-- 1. Parking is insane, you'll never have problems parking here as there is always space and this isn't because there isn't people in the area its more because theres enough parking for a supermarket 2. Staff is courteous and nice as well as honest, many of them also deal so you can say they're experienced 3. The place itself is relaxing to be in, spacious lots of TVs, couches to sit around and a decent pool table. The movable chairs are nice 4. The concept of keeping true to the name, Final Table where the last table in the tournament is moved to the center room 5. Lots of guaranteed tournaments and the two freerolls a day is nice, though not truly "freeroll" because people who do pay get a sizable advantage its still a good concept 6. Tournaments can run up to 5~10 tables on busy days making for good prize pools Bad-- 1. Because its a new place, some dealers aren't as experienced and you could find this out quite quick on some busier days, leading to mistakes or annoyances which escalate when the touchier players get involved 2. The good dealers often push for tip and explain this over and over that they are working for free as well as explaining how much they make if you tip only so and so, this puts pressure on the players who win to tip essentially making it not a tip, but feel like a required deal. 3. Now and then there will be a concession worker who uses old coffee to serve its customers essentially making it cold coffee, stay away from the coffee as this area is a bit slack 4. Shoot outs only happen at end of day, this is more due to lack of players interested in it as most players that come here prefer tournaments, advertised differently as shootouts happening quite frequently though Its a well thought out and very well run place, things go smooth most of the time and there is rarely a disruptive player or a drunk player as there is no alcohol served I'd recommend this place if you're here for the poker and have kept all the bad things into account read more

I was a little skeptical coming here after all the reviews I read across the internet. After visiting/playing here I can say I am very impressed. I had just gotten back from Vegas so my standards were a bit higher. There was 22 tables and during tournaments those tables are usually filled up with both cash games and tournaments. There are competent dealers so you don't have to worry about dealing. There is even managers that hang around the room for if there is a problem. The counter at the back was helpful and answered all of my questions. The money is stored safely and securely. I was worried about it being in a sketchy part of town but I felt very safe. The players and employees are all very normal. They also have food and drinks there. The prices on them are very good. 10$ for a burger and fry. 1.50 for a refillable soda. These reviews of this place are pretty poor. I would give this place a try if you want to play some poker. I didn't realize that poker was alive in Portland. At 9pm on Saturday there were well over 100 people in the building. I had a blast and I will definitely be back. read more

I would just like to say that like any business, it takes time to work out the wrinkles... I am an avid poker player as well as my husband and we have played for many years in all the clubs around town. there is always going to be something in all of them that people don't like, that's just reality. I could sit here and make a list of the things we dint like about all of them, but why? If you want professionals, go to a casino and pay a rake..... Drive for 45 minutes or an hour and a half and sit in a crowded stuffy room where your treated like just another person... I worked in a casino for several years and from my experience here at the final table I can tell you that we will not go anywhere else. The players as well as the staff and volunteer dealers are very friendly and help full and always willing to listen to new ideas. The room is very open and the tables and chairs as well as everything else in the place are all brand new and very nicely done. I think some of the bad reviews are from other owners or employees of other clubs that are worried about losing business. The owners of the club obviously took a lot of time and money to make the club a nice place to go.... and they did a great job! The owners as well as the staff are always willing to take time to listen and make things better, for us! It just bites my ass that people have to be so mean as to make such false complaints. Give the owner a break.. He opened the club for us to have a nice place to go, If the lights are a problem, just ask to turn them on, they will! The snack bar is expanding their menu as they now have a new person running it. See for yourself! don't take my word or anyone Else's word for it.. You wont be sorry! They have free rolls everyday and guarantees every week. And remember... Dealers are all volunteers... They do not get paid for dealing, its all on a donation basis...
