I recently had a great experience at Davam Urgent Care. I scheduled my arrival time online. When I arrived, I was immediately processed in and waited for the doctor less than 5 minutes. Doctor and nurse were both fantastic. The facility is very clean and all of the staff appeared to genuinely enjoy working there. They also have great membership plans. Brought my wife here since she was feeling sick, they confirmed they accept BCBSTX and we filled out all our paperwork and I emailed them my insurance card and waited to be called up. Once we were called up they said their systems were down and we couldn't use insurance, had to be paid without insurance. How hard is it to call the insurance company and confirm our insurance? The whole point of coming here is because it's supposedly in network. Waste of time coming here. read more

Why 5 stars? Because under unfortunate circumstances, Davam was great. --- --- --- My son and I were at one of this trampoline parks and after what looked like nothing more than a perfectly innocent jump, he came down awkwardly and was not willing to walk on it. Ultimately, after a debacle at another clinic, we set an appt here for about 2 hours in the future. We arrived much earlier than that, but were called back precisely at the time of our appointment. We sat in our car and ate Chick Fila while we waited, and they texted us when it was time to go back, so that was a lot nicer than sitting in a waiting room. We came into our room and we're going back for an X-ray fairly quickly. Then the doctor came in to let us know that, indeed, there was a small fracture. But the doctor was quick, helpful and had a great bedside manner. He put his leg in a splint and gave us an overview of what to expect, The next day, we did have to follow up to speak to the radiologist on staff, but he called back quickly and gave us some more information. Like everyone else, he was very helpful and friendly. Starting with the receptionist, all the way down the line, everyone here was truly great. And because they are sane, masks are optional. The only negative about the experience came afterward. Our visit to Davam was on a Friday night and the doctor told us to go to the orthopedic on Monday to get a cast put on. We did that, but the doctor said we would need to go to a place like Texas Children's to get a cast. And then when we went there, they told us it would take at least another week to get the swelling down enough for a cast. So the doctor's info was quite a bit off, but I don't blame him too much since this wasn't his speciality. We always see this parking lot packed and now we see why. It's a great place to go when you're in need of quick, medical care. read more

The doctor here gave my son a strep test that came back negative, said "even thought it's negative I think it's strep" and prescribed antibiotics. It was not strep, it turned out to be COVID. She is what's wrong with doctors today, overprescribing antibiotics and doing her job poorly. We have found a *much* better urgent care since. read more

This review is specifically for Sauda Alam. She is a TERRIBLE nurse practitioner! Extremely rude, insensitive, and unprofessional! My husband took my 9 year old daughter to be seen because she was grasping for air and complaining that she had difficulty breathing. From the moment my daughter was seen she instantly felt uncomfortable. Nurse Sauda does not know how to speak to child. Instead of being patient with my NINE YEAR OLD child and trying to find out what the root of the problem was, Sauda rushed my husband and daughter out and dismissed her issue! My daughter said she was rude and mean and even my husband didn't disagree. She didn't try to find out what was wrong with my daughter. Ran a few test and took an x-ray and sent her on her way before they even received the results. She said she didn't see anything wrong with her and had the audacity to tell my 9 year old child that SHE needed to communicate better which I find extremely strange to tell a child. My husband took her to urgent care because she couldn't breathe and her throat was hurting. I'm sorry if that's "poor communication" but what else is a 9 year old suppose to say? Obviously we didn't know what was wrong with her, so we took her to a medical professional to help, but clearly NURSE Sauda doesn't know or care to try to help. Prior to coming to urgent care, we had a telemed visit with her allergist who actually sent in an inhaler and steroids for her. After not seeing improvement, she suggested we come to urgent care. Crazy that we received better service via telemed that in person. Would not recommend her to anyone and will NOT be coming back!!!! read more

Place is horrible when dealing with front desk staff. We called to ensure they took our primary and secondary insurance and they responded "Yes". Went to this urgent care with severe fatigue, stomach cramps and nausea. Staff is really nice but they ran a few tests. They didn't tell me which tests they were running failed to run a Covid test or a flu test, gave me an IV of saline to hydrate me, nausea medication, pain, medication, and heartburn medicine. Then sent me on my way home, even though I felt no better than when I went in. Now fast forward four days. I am in the emergency room and I have tested positive for Covid. I have gone four days, exposing my family and everyone around me to Covid. I'm so saddened by the lack of precaution that was taken. read more

Front desk ladies are sweet, good tunes playing quietly, Bob Ross playing on the tv, not to mention, Dr. Henley looks a little like jake gyllenhaal except he was kind and considerate. If you need urgent care services come here! Since it's the Thanksgiving holiday my doctor was on vacation so his office staff recommended I stop in here for my urgent care-I'm so glad they did. I was happy no one else was here when I stopped in which meant not a long wait time. The waiting area is gorgeous. Decorated in warm colors with two televisions, one with cartoons and iPads for kids like mine who had to wait for me. A gourmet coffee maker and a fridge with bottled water was also a nice treat. The most important aspect of this urgent care center is that a physician is onsite. I know that sounds ridiculous but a few weeks ago I was in an urgent care center not far from here where only a nurse was on hand! Huh? The doctor was super friendly and he took his time talking with me and providing the medical attention I needed. All the staff was very professional and nice which is what you want when you're not feeling your best. Tri-care insurance and Aetna taken here too. They are still wanting people to wear a mask inside. I didn't see any air purifiers around the waiting room. If you want to keep a sick person safe then wear a mask and have no air purifiers. This is ridiculous. I went to the bathroom and the trash can wasn't working how disgusting. I dropped my ear pod behind my chair in the waiting room and had to move the chair to pick it up and there was so much dirt behind the chair. This is totally unacceptable for a waiting room at an emergency clinic where there is supposed to be a clean environment. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

If you need x-rays you'd be better served elsewhere. Texas Children's ER took one look at the images we got from Davam and said they were essentially useless and we had to get more images done. Also booked a "quick visit" here for suture removal. We waited 1.5 hours despite scheduling online the day before. Two members of the scheduling desk told me conflicting info about the quick visit and they still tried to charge me my copay instead of the $35 quick visit fee. If you need a strep/COVID test, they're great. But otherwise head to a larger, better resourced urgent care - or the ER. read more

Davam Urgent Care was very helpful when my regular physician was out of town. I had an urgent illness that needed attention. I have a complicated medical history and don't like visiting new doctors. After reading reviews I got in line online for 1:08 p.m. I arrived a bit early. After checking in and a short wait I went to the exam room. Vitals were taken as well as medical history. Shortly after the doctor came in with the results of my test that had been taken. I received a clear plan of care, a prescription for treatment, and instructions for follow up. I was leaving at 1:48 p.m. The facility was very clean. I found the waiting room to be comfortable. They had a coffee machine available with a small section of bar chairs. There were also televisions throughout the facility. On one side of the waiting room there were toys. The decor of sunflowers and bluebonnets were nice. It was obvious they have made an effort to try and make the facility as comfortable as possible while you are waiting. Everyone there was efficient and nice. Although this is an urgent care facility and times spent waiting can change depending on time of day and urgency of patients arriving, I think my visit of 40 minutes is excellent. read more

I went in with a very painful abrasion on my eye. The nurse was very responsive, friendly and compassionate. And the doctor friendly, emphathetic and knowledgeable. He also talked me thru everything he was doing and what to expect. The wait was a bit long but it was worth it considering, just a few hours later, I am already getting relief.
