Came in for my 2 year old daughter who had 104 fever, she was negative for uti and ear infection. Said they were going to send out her urine for more testing. Dr who took us in checked her breathing and said something about a murmur casually as if jt was normal, then moved on, didn't bother to continue the topic or discuss more about the situation. They said results will usually come in 2 days and they will give us a call back. 2 days later, no call! I had to call for the results. Results came in and it wasn't even reviewed yet. So for 2 days after my daughter went to this urgent care she was still having fevers Tylenol was helping but for a limited of time. As a mother I was stressed and worried and didn't know what to do and left this place with even more questions! Would never come here again!! read more

When I was in town and feeling sick, I visited Family First Urgent Care at this location, and I had a great experience. The service was quick and efficient, and the staff made sure I received the care and treatment I needed. The receptionist was especially helpful and got me checked in very quickly. I just called this place and instead of saying urgent care they just said hello. I didn't think that was very professional because I wasn't sure if I was talking to a business or an individual. Generally the worst front desk worker I've seen in my life. We call and ask if they take a certain insurance, she said yes and we ask again to make sure and she says yes. So we drive all the way from college station just for her to tell us no they don't take that type and then tried to say she never said we take that type. Then sent us to another place that "100%" takes the insurance. Guess what? She lied and was wrong by a mile again. read more

My latest visit us for severe pain and spasms in my back. They gave me a steroid shot, and a few muscle relaxers. It helped tremendously! I've been to this clinic several times before in the past for mostly UTIs, they have always been responsive and I could get in easily without having long waits. I really appreciate the doctors and the staff at this urgent care clinic. read more

Doctor put me on Steroids for a week I did not get better, I got worse just to find out from Methodist that I have pneumonia. I could have gone back to work today if my first diagnosis was correct. Waste of time and money. read more

I hate leaving these types of reviews about my experience but I feel like it should be shared. Was prescribed medication for asthma, was told that I was receiving two medications, had an in-depth conversation with the provider about how I should take this medication. Get to the pharmacy, and the prescriptions we discussed we as not what I received. Had to call back and speak with the doctor to find out what I'm supposed to do with this prescription. I want to be clear this call WAS NOT a consultative phone call it was more of an oh hey take this instead and let's sweep the mistake or "'miscommunication" under the rug." I was told that the person I was working with didn't know what she was talking about because she was a student... I have questions now and missed out on the consulting part of the visit. My insurance was billed and I'm In the dark here. UPDATE: The manager called me and apologized for the confusion and blamed it on the new student doctor and poor communication between the prescribing doctor and the student doctor. Our family had the need for Urgent care over the last month. Among other services, Covid-19 testing was available. The facility is clean, and conveniently located. Parking is easy. Regarding the care, the staff here did a very nice job. Kimberly was excellent. She was able to deal with a very complex issue, and took the time to refer me to a dermatologist who saw me to follow up on that issue. She also called me to discuss follow up care, and coordinate my care among several doctors. I will continue to return. read more

They are SO slow!!! Nobody seems to want to help you. After you wait forever in the waiting room you will wait even longer in the treatment room. I had a minor injury but was bleeding the entire time and was in a lot of pain. read more

Today there are icy roads and lost power all over. I am a nurse working to get on with agency to help out on shifts needing coverage. My own power is down and I was unable to print the very last document to start working. The physical form for the doctor to sign . I was lucky to find this place open. However, when I asked if I can email the blank form the doctor needed for the physical I was told no. I explained I had no power and most homes and businesses were out. Still a no. For several reasons...we don't do that...only the boss can do that...you need to print your own papers...it's a HIPPA violation...(which a blank form is not a HIPPA violation) However down the road at care now I asked if I could email the form and I was handed the "front office email address" already printed on a clipboard for a quick email. And everything was done without question or delay. I was very disappointed that I drove in these conditions longer and was turned away for something so small that wasn't a problem at the establishment that was closer and just as capable. Due to the short hours of our Pediatrician near our home, Family First has become a once a month trip for the last few months with our daughter's ear infections. Wait time varies from day to day. We honestly have not waited more than 20 minutes to see one of the staff members. They have clean facilities. Great nursing staff and coffee AND water in the lobby. We tried to go to a UC in The Woodlands, specifically for pediatrics, but have had such a horrible time with billing that we've just given up on using them. Have never had an issue with Family First and definitely recommend them for quick, reliable service. read more

Love the Doctor here!!! My regular PCP refused to see me because of my symptoms and only wanted to do a virtual appointment. Not the Doctor here, they welcomed me and treated me in my car to keep everyone safe. That is a Doctor to be proud of and know that in my worst time she was there for me. I went yesterday with a friend for weight management and Claire Pollard was extremely nice, and knowledgeable. The front desk , and tech, were also very friendly. I've gone to my primary care doctor before for this and it's no wear near up to my experience here. Claire talked to me about eating options( yes I know we all know what we should eat, but she gave me new options) and gave me her email to send her my daily food intake so she can analyse it and let me know what I should do differently. There was also this machine which I've never seen that measures your whole body and tells you how much you should lose, your BMI, ect., which makes it better to see your results and track what you should be doing. Another plus is that it's only $40 , and includes you EKG, and the in body measurements, which is cheaper than what my doctor would charge. I highly recommend this place. read more

I was impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the fact that they were able to see me immediately. The reason that I would not return Is that I was given three prescriptions for my illness that caused severe side effects- one of which I fear is permanent. I gave them a copy of my medical history which should have alerted them to the danger of prescribing the antibiotic that has caused lasting side effects. A second caused such a severe reaction that, when I called the clinic, I was told to go to the emergency room immediately (preferably by ambulance). When another doctor saw me a couple of weeks later for a general checkup, she said that she only prescribes half the strength of that particular medication for seniors since they quite often have the same reaction that I had. read more

2nd visit for poison ivy,,,,not so good,,,,waited 45+ minutes to get to exam room,,,,,took blood pressure and temp,,,,,10+ minutes for someone to come examine,,,,,was told they were giving me shot,,,,,,45-50 minutes later had to walk up front and explain that I had been there 1 hour and 45 minutes and still no one to give me shot,,,,,girl at front desk that examined me looked at guy sitting across from me and asked if he got orders for my injection with blank look on her face,,,,I literally think they forgot I was there,,,,,,missed appt I had,,,,,very disappointed in customer service,,,,,will not be back,,,, read more
