Just took the family there this weekend. We managed to have a good time, but the large number of machines that were out of order made it a challenge. There are bunch of barcades around the city that are less flash and ticket prize focused that offer family time on weekends and are a better value than D&B. I have been here several times in the past, but it has been a few years ago. Saturday I went with some friends and a couple of 10 year Olds. The menu was very minimal and cardboard. The menu in the past was a fold out, beautiful with pictures and several options. The ribeye with mashed potatoes, asparagus and add shrimp skewer is what we ordered. All of our shrimp was small and dry, the asparagus where thin and dried up and not edible, the steak was ok but also dry. For a Saturday it was pretty empty. It seems like they have gone down hill and the menu and food really have as well. What they show on the website isn't what is available. This really was a great family restaurant at one point. I first been to a Dave and Buster's when I was a young kid. It seemed a lot like Chuck E Cheez, which by then I grown out of already. They had tons of games which seemed a lot cooler. It was also a place the adults could come to without having to kill themselves. We used to come every couple of months to use our tickets. I had not been in a D&B location for years. It's mostly the same thing as the rest of them. The old overpriced arcade games. It's s chain that's almost the same but there was something special about this location. This had to be the worst smelling restaurant that I've ever had to smell. I seriously almost puked upon catching a whiff of the foul odor coming from I'm not really sure what. The bathrooms have apparently not been working properly for months, or years. It's been like that as far as some employees could remember. The food is nothing special at all. Of course no one comes for that. Still, they could put some effort to make it more edible, with it being way overpriced. The service was horrible here. Our waiter pretty much needed to be dragged to our table from the conversations he was having with other staff. The bar service is pretty bad, too. I liked the snow cone thing. They at least can make good drinks here. This chain used to be so much better. I won't return if they have the bad service and that smell. My husband's work holiday party was here tonight. The customer service here was amazing. We came in and got shown where the room was which is the first room you see walking in before the gaming center where the pool tables are. My husband and I were the first to get there. Although that was fine with the staff. They accommodated us until everyone showed up. Kept refilling my water which my husband thought was Fuji bottled water, man I think he was on something because that was no Fuji water, it was normal tap water. Then we had the buffet area which was salsa, chips, corn, chicken, macaroni and cheese and bread rolls with butter. It all tasted good. Man was I stuffed after all that, just getting seconds was enough! Finally we got our game cards after doing the white elephant gift exchange which thanks to Dave and Buster's for also assisting with that fun activity. The game cards had $10 worth of games to spend. We used it all up between the two of us in less than half an hour. If you want to have a good company holiday party Dave and Buster's will happily accommodate your large crowd! Their staff are super nice and friendly and will get anything you need! I will definitely be back here not just for company outings but also for fun as well!! read more

We ate a meal here and hit the arcade. Food was ok, service was slow. They appeared to be understaffed. The arcade is a joke. A large number of machines were broken. Some would take your money and not play, others just didn't work right. It's obvious the machines are neglected. We spent $100 on a game card, not knowing how bad it'd be. We complained and they credited us back what would the equivalent of about $5. Get real. They should have comped us way more for the amount of money we lost. Me and the hubs came here for just a little date night and it was so nice. The food was top notch ,the service was amazing and the games were fun (even though we're adults) we still enjoyed ourselves! I recommend this place! It's fun for family fun or even just a date night! I can't review the drinks,my hubby and I dont drink..but the food is AMAZING!! the prices are worth it. We had a couple of issues with the games taking too many "coins" per game, but the staff fixed it, no problem. My only issue was with the restrooms.... this location may want to put a door on the restroom. This is an extremely fun way to pass time with friends and eat, drink, and play! We have tried the restaurant at other locations several times, and the food is good though not amazing. Definitely better quality than we expected for a place like this, though, and you can get special packages with game points if you eat in the restaurant. They have tons of games! This location is larger than their Polaris location and feels more spacious inside. Our card didn't work at first, though, and we found out we had to wait in line to "activate" it for this location. A small annoyance. Basically you buy points on a card and use the points to play various games. There are kiosks where you can choose different points packages and buy the card or ad points to your current card. Most of the games award electronic tickets onto your card which you can then redeem for prizes in their store. A few of the games still award paper tickets (just take them to a staff member at the store to have them added to your card). And there are some games like Mario Kart which you just play and don't get any tickets for winning. It's not the cleanest place inside but usually not filthy. We go at night and usually find many more adults than kids. A few tips: go Wednesday nights and games are half price. This is a great deal as you win just as many tickets for half the price. Also if you reload your card with more money after 10pm you can get unlimited play of all the arcade games (non ticket awarding). Also if you load your card with a certain amount of money there are a couple of ticket awarding games you can play once for free (look for the signs over the games). Overall this is a fun way to spend time with friends and have fun! read more

It was incredibly packed. I think there were some birthdays, big surprise. We did not do food, but a angry orchard and whiskey and gin ale was $21. That ain't right. I get it I suppose since it is the adult Chuck E Cheese's so everything is incredibly overpriced. Therefore I did not get anything. Also the bar service was the worst I have ever seen in any venue, including the Virginia Wine Festival of 2017 where you waited 30 minutes at each booth for a sip of wine in 100F weather. We waited about 20 minutes for the angry orchard and beer then later when they were closing the bill, probably 20-30 minutes again. understaffed or lazy, both surely. The place was very busy and you experience more vomit than a hospital worker on an average day for some reason. There was ralph in the urinal, there was puke on the bar, there was puke in the parking lot, heck there was puke in the photo booth. Puke all around for everyone. A lot of the games have burned out pixels and other failures so it is showing age for the first time I have ever been here so maybe it is a work in progress or maybe it is a whatever kind of thing. The other thing is that it is amazing how few people can utter 'excuse me' so many people just pushing their way through. Yikes. Some interesting people too none the less. One highlight was the people on the version of DDR they had were incredibly good. I do not know if they are employees or if they come in at some occurrence but they have surely practiced a lot. We live near this location. We have had a child's birthday party here, and come frequently on Wednesdays for half price games. For the most part, it is a nice place. There are usually a few games that are out of order, but most are in working condition. Food is okay. My kids have a ton of fun. It does tend to get pretty warm in the arcade area with all the people and electronics. read more

I have to say I was very under impressed. We were here on a Wednesday. It was very slow only three other tables in the dinning area. The service was poor and slow. It took about 45 for our food to be served. I had the buffalo bar chicks. Which were cold and I was told they ran out of fries and had to make more which then took another 15 minutes. My boyfriend has the bacon burger. Which was served also cold with cold fries mind you his fries can at the same time as all out other food. Dave and busters has awesome arcades but I wanted to sit at a table by the bar while my kids played games. I had a hard time finding a table because none of them were clean! I just gave up and sat at a table that had crumbs on it. No one came to clean off the table and I saw staff standing around at times not knowing what to do. CLEAN THE TABLES!! We go to various Dave and Busters. We typically have a good time, but this past time we tried to do the VR plays for top gun. The controllers weren't charged so nothing happened. When we informed the employee doing the ride they brushed it off and said they forgot to charge the controllers. I know people forget things sometimes, but the did not seem interested in letting us try one of the other controllers or at least giving us game credits. read more

We had a great experience hosting my son's 8th birthday party here. The staff was attentive and helpful, the food was pretty good and (of course) the games were a lot of fun. Lots of tv's around allowed folks to keep track of various college football games as well. As a helicopter parent who is forever afraid of exposing his kids to germs, I was very happy to see at least two Dave & Buster's staff wiping down video games throughout the time we were there. Very reassuring as cold and flu season approaches. Top tip (via my wife)--do food and birthday cake before releasing the kids to go play in the arcade otherwise you'll spend a ton of time herding kids back to the table. A smart one she is. read more

The app ordering system at D&B is absurd. I expect to be greeted by a server and brought water when I go out to eat. I have not been greeted or told to put my order in. I sat here waiting on a server to come until a guest told me that I have to put the order in myself. Then I'm expected to tip a server that I've never seen, before the service is provided. Tip comes after service- not before. Also, I don't appreciate being told by the host that the wait was 35 minutes and I waited over an hour. We will not be dining here again. Hooray for Dave & Buster's! What a brilliant idea! At Dave & Buster's, you eat, drink, and play. It's as simple as that. The building is divided into two sections. The first is an old-time eating area with stained glass windows, checkered table cloths, and a monolithic bar. The second section is the game room. It's huge with all sorts of glowy lights and room to romp, but more on the romping later. I went to D&B my old roomie. I ordered the Parmesan Chickecn Alfredo and played it safe with a soft drink. The chicken alfredo didn't knock my socks off or anything. It was your run-of-the-mill chicken and pasta dish. But it was hot and well-seasoned with no chewy chicken parts. Kelly had the Philly Cheesesteak. She liked it, but said it didn't even compare to the real Philly that she had on a recent trip. Our waitress was an ace. She kept the refills coming while Kelly and I chatted and caught up. A swipe card with game access came as part of our dinner order. So, after digesting, Kelly and I recessed to our old competitive college days. Skiball, basketball, that game where you make horses race by shooting a squirt gun at a target, even a simulated Deal or No Deal, we tried most everything. By the end of the night, we had about the same amount of tickets. We turned them in for Ringpops, which made us very happy. You've gotta spend big to win big, and I don't usually play for prizes anyway. D&B is located near a bunch of hotels, so you can tell who they're mainly marketing to. I loved D&B. It was a steal really. We paid less than $15 a piece to eat and play. It felt like elementary school where you ate lunch and then got to go out to the playground. So much fun. read more

Games are awesome! Exactly what you'd expect. Service is NOT GOOD AT ALL! Prices already range a bit high when you go during prime-time (go figure, right?), but because we had a large group, it was like the server didn't even care because gratuity was already included in the check. First of all, a few people were at the bar, and because they had a red bar (under 21 til xx-xx) on their license, they REFUSED TO SERVE THEM, even though they were all 21+. Also, the server forgot to get drinks multiple times and the food was just okay. I think they had put a lot of it under heat lamps or something; it just didn't taste very fresh. Not to mention when he was taking and giving back checks, he was throwing them everywhere; he was WAY TOO RUDE to be working as a server anywhere. Overall, I'd advise just to go for the games during a Weds when games are all half-priced, but that's about it. read more

D&B is a place were an adult can be a kid again; for a little bit at least, one can be a character in a Mario Cart race, go on a mission for the Army, race ( or crash awkwardly through the course) in some downtown fictional city, or play the classic non-technological, carnival games like quick shoot, skeet ball, or air hockey. Of course, they also have adult fun like strong drinks and some decent food. I hadn't been in this arcade themed bar for 14-years when my brother started his bachelor party festivities. I had forgotten about it really, until my compony selected the place for a party when we exceeded sales goal. It was a fantastic time. I was impressed by the small changes they had made. The central bar is inviting and fun. Standing on the riser center of the place, a video game critic can enjoy himself with sports or other standard bar fun like pool, while others in his party can play games. The space here is a bit larger than other such places ( like the one that was in Easton) so there is no bumping into people or standing around in a crowd like a dance club. Although it can get busy, we were lucky to have it late, and the giant midway to ourselves. The down fall is that the food isn't totally awesome. It's good enough for having a bite before game playing though. It's like Applebee's, in other words, good enough.The drinks are ok. The service was wonderful. Another down side is some of the games take skill and practice, which means you waste a couple points, tokens, ect just to get the hang of it. But that's all to be expected. Like Chucky Cheese you can collect tickets and exchange them for prices. About 150,000 will get you a PS4. If you have none that, congrats, that's a lot of nights at D&B! Of course they have other prizes. They can handle groups, so need a place to have a party that will make most happy, I'd suggest this if you are in the area. read more

Took my son and three of his friends here to start his birthday celebration with an hour of free play for $10 a piece. FYI, the free play is only good for 2/3 of the games in the place that have a blue light card kiosk. Unfortunately I didn't know that upon buying the cards. Anyways, there are still plenty of awesome games to play with the blue lights. What sucks is that the machines would have a hell of a time reading our cards. We consistently received errors while swiping the cards. Some machines were worse than others. Not one time were two of us able to verse each other in a game because two cards never swiped through at the same time. As for food, we didn't dine in, and according to most other reviews, we didn't miss out on much there. Probably won't return. Although an hour of free play should be just that, the crappy card readers kinda ruined our experience. read more

Took almost 30 minutes and by the time they finished cleaning tables and server came happy hour was over. Just ridiculous and terrible service. What a horrible place to try and set up a party. Seems like a natural place to go for family parties but they don't take reservations, so trying to organize a surprise party we have 5 of our 20 person party go to put our name in 1 hour before the surprise birthday person was to show up. They will not even take your name until 75% of the group is here. So Han hour 1/2 later they offer to split our party. Absolutely horrible customer service and now I know why I quit having my company celebrations with the company. read more
